Came here to say for late lunch. Ordered a single butter burger with bacon, pickle lettuce and ketchup. Husband ordered a double delux. We added fries and cheese curds. My burger was not correct. They made mine a double.... Which I then had unknowingly paid for and most definitely did not want. The bun was crumbly and fell apart everywhere in my car. It didn't hold the burger together The bacon wasn't cooked and it was chewy and gross. When the order was delivered, we asked "is there a ketchup in the bag" the car hop delivery boy snarkly says. "I don't know is there? I didn't make the bag". The bag didn't have ketchup. The bag didn't have napkins. The cheese curds were gross. This makes a good meeting spot for family coming from Dayton and me in the greater Cincinnati area. It's kind of a cross between fast food and finer dining. You order and they bring it to your table. Guess they're famous for their Butter Burgers and ice cream, and both were pretty darn good. Just not good enough to go out of your way for if yu know what I mean. Everyone liked their food with the exception of mashed potatoes and gravy, and that was my son who will eat anything, anytime. So there was that. Prices are higher than McDonald's but not by much. We ordered from Culver's for the whole office today and what a surprise - every item was hot/fresh AND we got everything we ordered without having to go back for missing items (happens almost weekly wherever we order from)! Truthfully this is a first for us since we get lunches bought for us every Thursday from various places ranging from Monroe, West Chester and Middletown. I ordered one of the new ice lemonades with blackberries - excellent and refreshing. Well... on a good note, the people were nice and the place was spotless! Problem is the food was a massive disappointment. It's been a while since I've eaten at a Culver's and I kind of wish I'd not gone back because it was so much better in my memories. Funny part is, I'm nor a huge fan of sweet potato fries and I'm sad to state that these were the best things we had for dinner. I had the mushroom burger with a side of cheese curds and the lovely Mrs had a single with the sweet potato fries. The diet root beer which has a Culver's brand label was pretty good. Both burgers weren't even warm enough to even think about melting the cheese? The single burger was still a bit pink in spots? I have no idea how that even happens? So will I ever go back? The service & food has REALLY gone downhill. A concrete mixer used to be this super thick, rich turn-it-upside-down dairy dessert that you couldn't get anywhere else. Now it's just lightweight soft serve that melts into liquid before you're even 4 spoonfuls in. The flavor isn't there, the thickness isn't there, it's just really pricey plain old bland soft serve (think McDonalds). Wasn't worth the trip and we won't be back. To add to the negative experience, after we placed our order & paid, we were told to drive up to the window. Only the person at the window looks at us in absolute confusion and asks "uhh how can I help you?" We say we'd like our order please, and they ask "uhhhh did you guys even pay?" I ordered a cookie dough and brownie regular concrete mixer. I enjoyed the mix-ins but the custard tasted a tad funny, I overlooked it as I had not ordered one in a while. On I-75 south, I bit into a very thin solid piece. Thinking it could be ice, I kept chewing. I got a VERY strong taste of some type of cleaner/chlorine in my mouth. The solid piece crumbed into dust in my mouth. I pulled over on the side of I-75 south and threw up. I returned the rest of the mixer to the store and asked to speak with a manager. The "manager" (middle aged woman with brown straight hair) informed me that what had happened "was impossible". No "I'm so sorry, how can we make this better" or anything like that. I expressed my frustration and she simply offered me a notepad for me to write down my information. I wrote down my contact information. I (without her offering) demanded my money back and it was refunded to my credit card. I would ask corporate to examine this situation closer as I have never had this happen to me before. I kept the uneaten portion of the mixer for my family and I to look into further in the morning. With that type of experience and service, I cannot see myself visiting a Culver's again. stopped and ordered 3 bacon double cheeseburgers on gluten free buns. it was $30. got home and found the buns are separate in a package. no problem. however the burger boxes contained only the toppings. NO BURGERS OR BACON! Not one single patty! they were not busy inside. I was the only car waiting in the drive thru and they still had 30 minutes until closing! If youve ever had a regular squeaky cheese curd (which are amazing) Culvers takes them to the next level by frying them! YUM! They are not overly greasy, just a nice crispy coating. Their burgers are just ok. I do find those to be overly greasy. Their custard is quite tasty and is offered in a different flavor each day. Okay I will admit, the main reason I come here is I like Cheese Curds, I go to a different place when close to home, but if not I come to Culver's. The burgers are good here as well and the service is always good. They even bring the food out to you after you order and will clean your table. Heck what is not to like. Both times I have been here it has been fairly packed, but what do you expect being right off the interstate and next to the outlet mall and just down the street from two flea markets. If I could give this Culvers a zero I would!! The Culvers in Monroe owned by Bryan Zastrow at 1301 State Hwy 63 in Ohio needs to do a make over with their help and most of all one of their managers. I ordered a kids meal and paid for a upgrade on the fries to a med, when they came out they were laying on the tray, I picked them up and the fries moved down into the bag it was clearly half full. I took the fries up to the counter to the cashier that took my order. He said he would get it taking care of for me and mentioned it to another worker who was standing around talking to another worker. She came over and said my fry was a med, I said the bag might be but the amount of fries are not and I paid extra for them. She told me they would not have gone out like that and turned around and walked away. Another worker over heard what was going on and handed me what was clearly a med order of fries, I thanked her and went back to my table. I went up after my husband and I were done eating to order a Scobbie toy and while I was there asked the cashier for the workers name that was so rude, he did not know. I asked him if she was one of the managers, he did not know, by now the manager that was standing behind him slowly stepped forward and asked what I needed I asked for the name of the worker and she asked me "why"!! I was hesitant in telling her why because it was clear they were "friends". I finally told her the worker was rude and argued with me about my fries and instead of calling her over or given me her name, she just said, "oh" in a way like too bad!! So again I asked her for the workers name, she wouldn't give it to me, I said "really!! your not gonna give me her name"!! She told me no that the worker had a name tag on, I could not read it because she was turned in a way that I couldn't, as I was going back to my seat I stepped over to the worker to get her name but she positioned her arm in a way that it wasn't readable. Went back to the table, got my husband after telling him what just went on and asked him to see if he could read the two names as we were leaving but guess what!! Neither of them were up front!! Both were gone!! In the back or where ever!! Both of these workers should be fired!! The manager was worthless, did not resolve anything and lost two customers from there!! We will never step food in this Culvers again and I hope Bryan Zastrow see's this and reaches out to me, fires them as Culvers is better then this and wants "every customer to leave happy"!! read more

Normally I would give this Culver's 5 stars for food and server. However on this visit Sarah was the only person on any register and not only should she have not been alone, she was overwhelmed. Whoever the manager was at this time failed. Approximately 8pm on Tuesday. Easily one of my favorite fast food restaurants. However, if you are in a hurry and need to get through the drive thru in under two minutes, it's best to skip Culver's. Not just this location but any location. Why? The food is made extremely fresh. Your order is in and then it's cooked. This doesn't mean a long wait in line but at least 3-4minutes. You'll always receive a number and will be asked to pull ahead. The nicest employee with always bring your food to your car. For the quality, the price point in right on. It is a tad pricey for "fast food" but again, quality. I highly recommend the cheese curds. Being a Wisconsin company, the curds are delectable. If you've never tried custard, give it a shot. If you prefer ice cream to custard, I'd still recommend giving Culver's custard a chance. Delicious. Kids meals come with a free custard cup and you can save the bags for free swag. Kids meals are around $5.50 and include antibiotic free milk and tasty fries. Adult meals range but they do currently have a special menu that starts at $5. This includes your standard butterburger.
