I did not even get past the cash register : ( and I ended up walking out. I walked in and said we will see how it goes, because it was not good last time I was here. I said ok let's go by your steps (as I pointed to the posted menu). Step 1. Double or Single I said Single Step 2. If cheese what type. I said cheddar Step (?) She asked if that is a butter burger? I said I do not know I am just following the steps on your sign. She asked again is that a butter burger I said again I do not know, it does not say on your sign. Someone came over to try to salvage the situation. He asked what did I order, I said let's ask her. Some other guy said she is in training. I said great we can all learn together. I asked her what was the first thing I said, she said cheese burger. I said no, that is not what step one asks. Again I asked her, what did I say for step one... Cheese Burger she says... Nope that is not step one. I said what does it say for step 1? I said "Double or Single", I wanted a single. The second person that stepped in to help said let's start over. I said never mind forget it & walked out. Last week I was in there and asked for double onion and double lettuce, once I got past steps 1 & 2. I got the burger and there was NO lettuce!!!! So I was going to ask for it again but do not put the burger together, I want to see it lined up on the try before I take the order. But did not make it that far. I drove through on Thursday night approximately 7:45 p.m. The drive thru was fairly busy. I ordered a concrete mixer with strawberries and cheesecake, one of my favorites. Usually, when only getting custard, you receive it quickly at the window, or, if you pull up, it arrives fairly quickly. I was asked to pull up. Even when I got to the front of the line, people behind me were getting their orders. When my mixer finally arrived, I was handed a cup that was dripping over the sides with no napkins! If that wasn't bad enough, it was the consistency of a shake. When I did hit a piece of "cheesecake," it was like a cheesecake crouton, dry as a cookie. (Old) Needless to say, this visit did not earn my confidence in this Culver's location. read more

THE SANDWICHING HOUR You can always count on Culver's for a quality product between the buns. Having twice visited my paternal grandma at nearby Bright Oaks, my mom and I stopped in here on both occasions for a quick meal. I got a bacon deluxe butterburger the first time out, and a spicy chicken sandwich on the following visit. Even though their crinkle-cut french fries are tasty, I almost always substitute them for mashed pototatoes with gravy. Cheese curds are a solid choice, too, and the house root beer hits the spot on a hot summer day. Workers were fine, but they got nothin' on the awesome employees at the Franklin Park location. The girl at the register on my 2nd visit neglected to crack a smile, which seems to be in line with other reviewers. Friendliness maybe isn't the strong suit of this particular Culver's. Of interesting note is the sharps disposal box in the (men's) restroom. I sincerely hope this is for diabetics who need an emergency shot of insulin......not for addicts to slam heroin in the bathroom. Then again, it IS Aurora we're talking about, so who knows. People seem to be hatin' on this location, but my burger & chix sammy were fine. Good stuff as per usual. read more

Went to this place and ordered a big order on Friday. One item was missing from the order but I was charged for it. On the following Monday I went there to order my dinner and informed the worker of the missing item. She asked me if I had called about it. I had not, but asked if they could make good the missing item in my Monday order. The worker said that since I had not called, she could not honor my request. Since I had already paid for the item, a large order of fries, I thought there would be no problem with a complimentary small order. When I asked for the phone number to call the manager, this worker first said she didn't know the number,but did eventually give it to me. When I cancelled my order, I said I wanted speak with the manager before I continue being a customer. She said in a flippant voice, OK, conveying and attitude that she didn't care about customer satisfaction. I sure won't be going back to this place. Love me some Culver's but this location is an embarrassment. We stoped in on our way to the Paramount Theatre for a quick bite. It is filthy and gross. Food everywhere, tables are so dirty I seen several people sit and leave a whole section of seats because they were so filthy. It wasn't that busy, the food was fine typical Culver's goodness but the setting ruined it. Never ever ever have I received what I ordered and paid for from this particular Culver's location. For some reason they forget my extra fries ( that I paid for) or my extra caramel (that I paid for) or my PLAIN burger and or sandwich (that I am asking you to keep alllll of the trimmings because I do not like them for free with no discount asked for, from me). I then ask for what I waited and paid for and I get an attitude and a sense of frustration from the employees. Your job there is not that difficult and I'm so upset and tired to hear your managers blaming the "kids" that are working there. They need to get it together! Got my order wrong, even when my receipt clearly says what I wanted. I ordered two things.

I really don't like writing bad reviews, especially now that the restaurant industry is going through very difficult times, but this place really deserves every bit of all the bad publicity it gets. My wife and I came to the drive thru line around 8:40 PM on Sat 04/25/2020 and asked what soups they had available. They responded with just chicken noodle so we ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup, a butter burger basket and 2 regular size chocolate malts. Not a big order by any means, but after 2 of the vehicles in front of us bailed out, only 3 vehicles remained ahead. It took at least 20 minutes to make it to the window only to be told they were out of soup. We took the rest of our order and since they were out of soup, we ordered and paid for another burger. The cashier instructed us to pull ahead to the second blue cone and wait for the new order so we followed her instructions. My wife who had skipped lunch decided to eat the burger we had just picked up at the window but the food was already cold and not very good anymore. We waited patiently for a long time for one of the employees to bring out our order, but after 20 minutes of waiting for just one burger, no one came out. I drove around to the drive thru to remind them about my long wait. The cashier sounded confused, told me to pull around and park next to the car at the window. She immediately came out with ANOTHER cold burger. They most likely gave us the burgers from everyone else that bailed out on their orders. They simply forgot about us and did not care at all. This restaurant, in my opinion, is a very poor representation of what the Culver's brand is all about. I've had Culver's in many other locations including recently in Yorkville, IL on 04/19/2020 and Florence, AZ on 04/09/2020 and although I did not get napkins with my orders, the service was actually very efficient. Never again will I waste a minute of my time trying to get any food from this location and neither should you. It's not worth it. read more

However, after seeing the condition of that men's room today, this location is filthy. 2 backed up toilets and an out of order hanging on the wall above the urinal. Met my daughter here for lunch today. I got a single with cheese and swapped the drink for a salted Carmel concrete shake. The shake came with options, apparently, she offered a chocolate peanut butter addition. But I chose the salted caramel only. My daughter got a crispy chicken with cheese and a strawberry shake. The meal was good. The crinkle fries were just right. I usually see coupons for this place but I wanted a good burger and had no coupon. So, another time with a coupon maybe. After visiting my Grandfather at the Hosptial nearby on January 26th, 2020, I decided have a pleasant meal with my 14 yr son. We waited patiently through the drive through. When someone finally came on the intercom to take my order I was told to please wait. Even my son playing in his iPad was getting restless from waiting. Then we finally placed our order. I found it interesting that the car in front of me starting to rev up his car. Then he pulled out of line I'm sure out of frustration from waiting so long. The car later also jumped out of line. Then I finally pulled up to the window and I can see my food order. They took my credit card and charged my card. The woman was frantic and the other young guy looked confused. There was an older gentleman yelling at the cashier inside as I was peeking via drive through window. I told the woman that is my order there, and she said that was the wrong order. The young guy told me it was a mistake and it would be corrected and that he needed my credit card again. Overall I left with the wrong food (at that point I didn't want to drive back) and charged twice (I noticed weeks later on my credit card statement). I have came back for 25% discount on my next order and my money back on the second return for the double charge. When I asked for another discount for my inconvenience they said NO we gave you the discount last week when you were here Remember. I felt like I was in the wrong for asking. Overall I found it interesting how hard to was to correct this simple problem, as the managers kept deferring responsibility. I do like Culver's but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth that lasted longer than I expected. It's Feb 21, 2020. The employees work hard but something needs fixing here. Right when we walked up to the registers, the cashiers had a bright yet cheerful smile! The cashiers name was Jessica and she was the most polite and cheerful person I've met! I couldn't help but smile while talking to her. My friend is from out of town where they don't have Culver's in their state and when they realized this she gave him a coupon to try their custard. I cook most of my meals but when i need a quick bite i go to this Culver's. Their drive through and counter staff are both friendly by fast-food standards. The food, again is 5 star, by fast food standards. OK I read alot of the other reviews and I get what they're saying but please. its a FAST FOOD joint in AURORA. Consistency isn't as high as McDonald's if you're doing a late night meal but that's true of almost all restaurants. All their burgers are good, i love the rueben too. All their food is decent. Whoa, this burger definitely gave In-N-Out a run for their money in the best fast food burger category. I'm told they are famous for their buns and I can see why. They are really light and tasty. I had a butterburger, and though I can only assume that means they are even more unhealthy than a regular burger it was darn good. However, it came garnished with lots of fresh veggies, so it can't be all that bad. We also had fries and malts. They even bring the food out to your table after you order, which is a nice touch. read more

We have been coming to this location since it opened many years ago. Service, food quality have always been consistently great. Recently though, the employees at the counter rarely smile, do not pay attention to the order when given to them and seem less than happy to be there. The last three times we dined there it took 30-35 minutes to get our order. The orders were correct, but the patty on the Sourdough Melt only fills 2/3 of the bread. We have visited the Yorkville & Oswego locations and WHAT a difference!!! Friendly, welcoming counter staff, quick service and lo & behold, the patty fills the bread on the Sourdough Melt sandwich at both locations! After all of these years, I think we're done with North Aurora after giving them many chances to redeem themselves. read more

Called at 6:12pm a few days ago to order some burgers(we're about 5 minutes away) and asked how long it would take. The guy on the phone told me they were "very" busy at the time so I asked for an approximate time and he told me about 20 minutes. So we decided to leave after about 25 minutes just so I wouldn't have to wait at the actual place, but this was after drive through pickup started so we waited in the drive through line for about 15 minutes. At that point it had been approximately 45 minutes since we called in the order but when it was finally our turn, we are told they didn't have the order!! Reason?! Because we ordered over an hour ago and because of their keep it fresh policy, they had to throw the order out!!! It was most definitely not over an hour!!!! But because we knew all restaurants in the area are going through a tough time we just let it go and said sorry. And you will not believe what the lady said!! It's ok. At least you learned your lesson! Excuse me?! Extremely rude!! Then we had to wait another 15 minutes for our food! Absolute horrible service! Great location. I've been to Culver's dozens of times but never this store. I like the recent remodel they did. The store is a nice size and well cleaned. The owner is very friendly and even introduced himself. Most owners hide away in a back office. But not him, he was working the restaurant like any other employee. Food was great as always. Culivers is one of the better fast food burgers available in the area. The burgers here are a step up from mcpains and don't cause the aftermath of eating at mcdonalds. Having been to other Culvers locations this one is in need of a little updating. The location in wheaton has dispensers for the drink lids. These are great because you get one lid and know it will fit unlike the piles of lids at this location that everyone is touching because the grabbed the wrong lid. Also the dinning room is starting to show its age. On the other hand the service at this location is always very good and it is clean. I also like the sign on 31 that shows the days deals. Must admit I do check it when I drive in and sometimes what is on there sounds great and I end up stopping for lunch. Over all one of the better Fast food places in the area. read more

The food is great. Fast service. But who runs out of ice tea and does not make more. We do not drink soda. Very disappointed.

The service is horrible. The drive thru system was down. Therefore had to wait more than 15 mintues for my order. The burgers were dry and very little mayo on the burger. I have to ask for catsup and mustard on the burger. It doesnt come with the burger. I rather go to wendys for a burger or burger king. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE! Ordered a shrimp dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans as sides tonight for carry out. The mashed potatoes and beans were inedible - tasted like they were days old and had been reheated. Called the store, spoke to the assistant manager on duty, Latecia, and she totally acted as if this was my problem, not theirs. When I asked for a refund, she told me that was against store policy. Only offered me a credit for a future visit. Are you kidding me? I will NEVER patronize this location again.
