The variety of food choices she supplied us to pick from weekly as well as making many dishes we asked for was wonderful, there was nothing she was not able to make for us. The food was delivered to our home in individual containers for all the different food selections which we would then warm up in the mirco-wave accordingly. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. She provided the receipts for all the purchases each week and the pricing for her services were more than fair. Both times the food arrived EXACTLY at 4pm and was top quality with good portions for most. My dad recently needs to be on a lower sodium diet so it's nice to provide 1-2 meals per week for him with no commitment- he usually eats only half of the portion per meal and can easily know the sodium content. My wife and I have tried a few of the meals and been happy with everything - sometimes calories and fat/sodium can be a bit higher than my wife prefers for a single meal but you have all the info before ordering. There's always a salmon option, and a recent "Retro Fried Chicken Bowl" was great if slightly unhealthier than ideal but had a nice portion of well cooked chicken and included a fantastic smothered sauce plus the side of applesauce was chunky, flavorful, and just as good as we would make at home. If you don't make your own applesauce this will show you why you should do it. Nothing but positive so far, and prices generally seem consistent with the "ready to cook" options in the market but you have much less packaging waste and don't need to spend a bunch of time cooking and cleaning up which can be nice during the week. Most dishes are 2-3 minutes heating up in the microwave and end up great. Don't get me wrong, we love to cook but I prefer to use my own recipes and for my dad with limited mobility a quick, healthier microwave meal or a "soft food" option is important. And for my wife and me, this is a nice supplement to our weeknight meals. Bravo to a great local business worth supporting!

Found side dishes like veggies, rice, etc., (the non meat side items) mushy and flavorless. Ended up tossing the sides most of the time. Different menues seemed like a slight variation to other menues, by changing a sauce or a vegi, fair, but to us too similar, especially if it was not well liked menu in the first place. We tried it and decided it was not for us. If that was it i would NOT have left a review, jsut let it go. What has been irritating is supposedly FACTOR is easy to 'cancel at any time'... wrong! First i skipped a few weeks, then i just decided wasnt worth it and canceled. Canceled online, filled out a survey listing why we wanted to quit etc. Weeks later I learn i am being CHARGED again, AND FACTOR has SHIPPED another box of unwanted orders! 4-5 weeks after canceling the service! Stuff happens but after waiting on hold for an hour (the recording said estimated 25 minutes, said 25 minutes for over 25 minutes. Now i'm super unhappy. After an hour on hold waiting to speak to customer service, who did after some discussion and escallation, cooperated (hopefully) to resolve my situation and canceled my subscription (for a second time). But having to wait for an hour and having my initial online request to cancel be ignored i am left frustrated with FACTOR. They lost my trust as a service. Canceling is not quick (an hour on hold) and definatley not easy, obviously online attempts to cancel are unreliable, waiting an hour for assistance to talk to a human is frustrating. I wish FACTOR luck, it just will not be with me as a customer.

First of all, I think CookUnity website is much easier to use than Factor's and the meal choices are mostly chicken. For a premium, you might be able to get some beef meals. I ordered quite a few meals. I was the first one to try it, and whoa, what a stark difference from CookUnity, and not in a good way. The meal was disgusting. I didn't say anything to my husband and son. I wanted them to give me their own opinions. They had meals and hated them. There was nothing good to say about them. Then I told them that I had already had one and I felt the same way. The meals are literally a one star or none. I will never order from them. I immediately canceled, and Thursday we will have our shipment from CookUnity. I will never pause it again. When I returned the glass containers (admittedly a few months later, but they were returned) I was informed that you have to use their service eight times to get the deposit back. This was the first I heard of it because I would never have agreed. Why would I agreed to use a service for eight times before I even know if I liked it?! Chef Beau said that the policy was explained to me in a "myriad if ways". This is simply not true. He is now refusing to return my $150 deposit even though he has his glass containers back. This is theft of my money as he has his property. It's simple - you charge a deposit for an item, the item gets to return you give back the deposit. Do not use the service!

For burgers - we got the Elotes and the Four Pepper w/ the side salads with dill + mustard vinaigrette. Their salad dressing was quite good and next time (if there is one) I would get their salads - just to try more of the dressings. I say this b/c the burgers were just okay. On paper they sounded much better. I ordered mine medium - and it was definitely more well done. And while we love pretzel roll buns - it was too much bread/bun to the ratio of ingredients. It was impossible to eat w/o a fork and knife. Which you think might not be bad, but it felt like too much. And having the burger too done sort of ruined it. However - if ever in the area - I would stop for the chili and the salad dressings.
