My kids are sick (I'm a little sick too) and I was looking for a quick seratonin boost- HELLO CULVERS! I have been wanting to try this place out but it's right next to chick fil a and I'm sorry, but the choke hold CFA has on my kids Monday thru Saturday is unbelievable. Lucky for me.... It was Sunday! Here we are pulling into the drive thru unsure of what to expect... so I ordered a bit of everything. Pretzel Bites - 7 out of 10 - I think they were $4.19? Salty, warm, soft (when warm, hard as a brick as soon as they're cold lol), and delicious dipped into the cheese sauce. I'd order these again Buffalo Chicken Tenders - 5 out of 10 - I ordered kids meals and one of the meals was chicken tenders. When I placed my order she asked if I wanted regular or Buffalo and I got reg for my kid but decided life is short and ordered a 4 count Buffalo for myself. I think I was expecting a sauced tender but it was a dry spicy rub- not my fave but a little blue cheese dressing saved the day on these. Atlantic Cod Sandwich - 8.8 out of 10 - the crunchiness on the batter was unreal. The fish was flakey and super delicious- I realllllly enjoyed this. I wish they were a little more heavy handed on the tartar sauce but that's just personal preference. I will definitely be back for this. Concrete Mixer - 10 out of 10 - I got the minis and let me tell you, there is nothing mini about these. These are basically DQ Blizzards on steroids. The texture was sooooo creamy and thick, I had to steal some bites from my kids because I just couldn't resist. GET THE CONCRETE MIXERS! Kids meals- 6 out of 10 they were basic but good. I got one burger meal and one tender meal, both with their crinkle fries, and a chocolate milk. So why 3 stars? There was a hair in my kids burger. A short light Brown or blonde hair? I can't tell but it wasn't dark. I normally rip the burger in half so it's easier for my daughter to hold and that's the only reason I noticed. Otherwise we would've found out after she bit into it. I know it's an accident and don't think anyone purposely put a hair in the burger but it still grossed me out. Service was very polite and considering they make everything from scratch it was a quick drive thru line. I'll check this place out again for their concrete mixers, pretzel bites, and the cod sandwich. This is a family favorite visiting for years across the country. Not impressed with this location at all. No soap in bathrooms, trash on floor. Workers not focused. Food was subpar. Really disappointed in seeing trash in drink station, no tea on canisters, fries on floor under tables, etc. It's easy to overlook one mishap, but faculty reflected a staff not proud of the name. Kept looking for that leader watching over all aspects, but could not locate that person in mass of high school age kids working. Sadly, can't recommend this location. Burger didn't taste freshly made - tasted like it was cooked an hour before. Really hope they can turn around so we can try again in the future. Will watch for reviews to improve first. read more

I love the options at Culver's.. however every single time I have ordered I have always had an item missing from the order. I spent greater of $30 each visit and unfortunately always have a missing item whether it's a side to a meal or an actual burger. I asked tonight if my bag was complete because he had two bags in his hand and the guy bringing the food out handed me the bag and walked away without any response or gesture. I'm in customer service not how that's supposed to go.. I probably should have checked before I left but I'm also paying $35+ for a company fulfill my order. I've been here many times and the food and service are always top notch. 5/5 This particular review is for a visit on 11/19/2023 at approximately 630pm. My BIL went and picked up dinner for us. (Food was great/hot). I had received a sheet of coupons in the mail a week prior. One was for BOGO double meat butter burger. All the coupons showed the expiration date of 12/18/2023. BIL orders and proceeds to the window to pay. Girl at the window tells him the coupon had expired the day before. He can't read small print so he took her word for it. She kept the coupon. Yes, it expires on the 18th...but of DECEMBER, not November. I called the store directly and was sent to voicemail. I left a message for the manager asking for a refund for the burger. No response. The next day, I submitted a request online. Still nothing. Very disappointing given their customer service is usually awesome. I guess that doesn't extend to management. read more

Rude "manager" named Daryl (guy with a ponytail). Sunday 06/29/25 I ordered a carry out order. As I pulled up to the pick up spot and waited for my food it started to rain. I had already expected to wait since this location usually doesn't bring food out until 10 minutes after it's supposed to be ready so I was prepared for the delay because of the sudden rain. Sure enough, around 10 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready I get a call from "Culver's" (Daryl) asking me to come to the drive-thru area to get my order. No problem, right? Wrong. The line was 6 cars deep and no one was moving. I called back and asked if I was supposed to stay in line or pull up since my order had already been sitting for over 10 minutes at this point. Daryl scoffed on the phone and told me he would not be sending HIS employees out in this "storm." It had been raining when I got there, but it was lightly drizzling at best by this point. I asked him if I could just wait in the carry out area and he rudely said "Your food will be waiting for you at the drive-thru window." I pulled to the front of the store because like I said, it was lightly drizzling and I would just rather grab my food than interact with this dude at this point. I'm not trying to be difficult. I just want the food I specifically ordered ahead of time that has now been sitting for 15+ minutes. As I walked inside, I let the young man at the register know my name and that I was picking up my order. Daryl looked at me and said "You're Harper?" laughed and then grabbed my order. As he handed me my drink, a young employee came in from running an order outside and made some comment to Daryl. I looked at him and said "Oh, so you are running food outside?" Yes, I could've just grabbed my food and left but I was so irritated by the fact that I had now waited 20 minutes for my food and told that I had to wait in line for an order I had preordered because Daryl wouldn't have HIS staff walk outside in the weather. Daryl again laughed at me and said "Yeah I guess we are." and shoved my drink at me. I told him that wasn't good customer service to which he responded "Well you're not a good fucking customer." My jaw almost hit the floor. I immediately asked to speak to a manager. Daryl told me that they were all in the back and too busy to speak to me. I grabbed my food and left. After leaving my review on Yelp, I scrolled down to see I am not the only person to have had an issue with this specific employee. Which also tells me I won't be the last since management/owners continue having such an angry person employed at this location. I want to add that I also work in customer service and have dealt with my fair share of difficult customers. However, there is a big difference with a customer being difficult and an employee looking for a conflict. My advice to Daryl - don't work in customer service. I have loved coming to Culver's since I moved to Austin two years ago. The one that closed down off of Burnet road was amazing and the staff was so friendly and welcoming, which is half of the reason I continued going back. I've had no choice but to drive to this location since the other one closed and have honestly had nothing but bad experiences. I've never been to a Culver's because we do not have them here in CA. I will say it is by far one of the best smashburgers I've had in a really long time. The closest thing to Culver's in CA and it's by a long stretch would have to be Shake Shack. Maybe it is the Southern Charm but everyone was extremely nice and patience with my boyfriend and I as we have never been. I ordered a Butterburger with bacon, pickles, cheese, mayo, lettuce and tomato. I always have an issue when it comes to the pickles on my burger because for a good majority of the time the pickles are soggy and limp by the time I am able to eat my sandwich. This was definitely not the case. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tenders and he loved them because the breading was not thick and the chicken actually tasted like chicken. The fries were great as well. Another family member had us try the onion rings which had a nice golden brown to them. Which was fantastic. The fish COD dinner tasted amazing as well. It was really fresh compared to most places that serve fish. But nothing beats the amazing Concrete mixer that we had it was on a different playing field than anything that is like ice cream I have had. Just thinking about this place is making my mouth water. I've been here twice, once for dessert and once for dinner. Both times, the restaurant has been spotlessly clean. The service has been equally stellar as well. Both times, we took advantage of the opportunity to customize. The first time, we tried custom sundaes. The frozen custard was excellent. The second time, we tried building our own burger baskets. Fries? The crinkle cut fries are crispy and have just enough salt to enhance the flavor. Burgers? One of the better fast food burgers I've tried. The burgers are just about the right size between tiny and oversized. The burger was cooked to perfection being cooked thoroughly, but still juicy. And the bun was perfectly toasted. This was the first visit to this location and I am glad that I stop by. This is in a great location and feel it be an outstanding restaurant for this area. Food: With some many great choices and custards combination, it was hard to decide. Love that everything is cooked to order, and they are willing to modify their menu to the way you like it. I ordered the Wisconsin Swiss Melt, and it was just okay. I rather have my cheese in between my patties and possible some thousand-island dressing on it or something with that flavor, it probably be a little bit better. My fries were good, and my milkshake was decent as well. Service: Staff was pleasant and willing to assist. All staff look very clean and was willing to keep the restaurant looking very clean. Everyone seem to help each other, and staff came by and made sure that your food was made to your liking. Customer service from the staff was excellent and something that I hope is constantly reinforced. Overall: I think this is a great establishment and it offers some great selections. It is in a prime location after a great Dell Diamond baseball game, down the street from the new resort and easily to get to from a busy highway. They have a great staff and parking is adequate. Everyone here mentions In n Out and Whataburger. Those are probably the most overrated turds I've ever been too. I placed an order online for pickup for my staff. We immediately got busy and couldn't leave to pick it up! About 20 minutes later I received a phone call from Culver's asking if we were close. I told him we were 10 min away. He stated that our food was under the lamp but getting cold so he was going to wait 5 minutes then remake everything because they wanted our order to be fresh for us. There are several reasons this is the only 'fast food' I'll eat. Were there actual taco shops in central Texas- it would be a different story. They are of the thin, crispy edged variety (hence BEST), and are served on a soft, fresh bun with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and raw red onion. Perfection. Not fancy, just perfect. Secondly, fried cheese curds... are you KIDDING me?? Where have these hot, stringy, salty bites of deliciousness been all my life? Third- service. These young folks - all that I've encountered - are friendly, polite and helpful. They still offer table service! Adorable - ALL of em. Fourth is obviously the frozen custard. I'm simple - the chocolate custard with salted caramel sauce is something I literally day dream about. Amazing. And lastly, the place is clean, pleasant and the prices are ridiculously good. This was my first visit. I decided to try Culver's out since I've received some coupons. I noticed the inside was open, but I went through the drive thru. I ordered a cod fish dinner that includes fries and cole slaw. I opted for broccoli instead of cole slaw. I also ordered a mini concrete mixer (vanilla and Oreo). After I paid, the cashier put a number on my window. I was told to pull up and someone would bring my food to me. I asked the cashier why did I have to wait for my food. The cashier stated the food is fresh and made after I order. I must admit the food was fresh and very hot! The food comes in a plastic container. Nice presentation. I didn't know the dinner meal didn't include a drink. I wasn't asked if I wanted a drink. I went back through the drive thru and inquired about a drink and was told only the basket meals came with a drink. Customer service was good and I didn't have to wait long for my food. Pulled into the drive thru lane at 11:11 with three cars ahead of us. Coworker and I are one of those annoying people that order separate orders in drive thru. They didn't seem to mind but we were given a number and asked to pull forward so they could bring our food out. Neat idea to attach your order number to your car handle for easy identification. 11:21 and we were driving away with our food. Back at the office we were sorry to find no ketchup in our bags. Burgers were eaten and good times were had in the breakroom. I prefer their burgers over Whataburger I'd say. Fries were crispy and they were accurate in my drink order as well. Checked out the menu online prior since I had no previous experience with Culvers. Their "mindful options" section was helpful, even if I splurged anyway. Calorie counts are also listed on the menu.
