I was really shaken up here a lot of shockingly morbidly, obese people that couldn't fit through the door. I wish there were a Panera nearby where I could've gotten a big salad. Here the salads with the dressing would be more calories than a burger. Food & Wine magazine rated Culvers as the number one restaurant with the healthiest burgers. Very, very weak! We've ate at a LOT of Culver's over the years and this has to be the worst. We ran through the drive thru around 7:30 PM and waited quite a while as my wife ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger and fries came out average, but edible. However the chicken was the toughest, tasteless, inedible thing we've ever had. And the gluten free bun that my wife requires was so hot and cooked, instead of slightly warmed like every other Culver's, that it was almost flat. When they make it so over done it not edible either. We were already back on the road or we would have taken it into the store. Come on Culver's get better or go home. We won't be back to this store. I placed my order just before 8 p.m. tonight, the 2 piece cod dinner. I had to wait a while for the order to be brought to my car but that pretty much assured me that everything was freshly cooked AND IT WAS. I've never had a bad meal here and everyone is so pleasant. Start this by saying I've been to many Culver's locations and never left a bad review until I went to this one. I had a curdside order set for 2:15. I get there and they don't bring it out until 10-15 mins later. Neither of my sandwiches had any kind of sauce or anything I chose, just meat and cheese lol how hard is it to add vegetables and sauces to someone's order? Culver's is after all, just fast food. They seemed super busy with lunch, but it didn't take long for our food, and it was as expected. I do like their butter burgers. GETTING MASHED I always go for the onion rings as a side but they are like 10,000 calories. I'm exaggerating but it feels like it. I was standing at the board and I wanted a side for my deluxe Culver's burger and then I saw it. 130 calories for mashed potatoes with gravy! What? I can handle that caloric hit. So I got mashed at Culver's and they were good. Then on the walk out I decided to look at the board again because I was like what does their mash go with. Then I saw a walleye dinner and was sad I didn't order that. Walleye at a fast food restaurant. What? Even McIcky can't compete with this kind of quality fish. The McIcky mystery white fish probably never swam in water! That's part of the mystery. The mashed potatoes at Culver's were good and yes I'd order them again. Was it a perfect pairing for my burger? Nope but it saved me about 500 calories which helps when sitting in a car for a ten hour road trip. The burger was cooked perfect. Typically it always is a hit. They get that perfect meat caramelization with the butter on the flat top. I usually get grilled onions but opted to get the raw purple onion instead. The raw offers a nice crunch. I'm thinking I might ask for both types of onion next time. Double onion me Culver's! As we were walking, out our coworker was teasing us through the window with his custard delight, so we decided to match his move and we got our own custard for the ride too. I was a little let down because mine wasn't as full to the top, while my coworkers was. It was like someone too a giant bite out of mine. I hate that when the consistency is lacking. Oh well! driving back from vacation & stopped in for lunch. ordered the food to-go, and the receipt said "carryout". it brought out on a tray, and the service worker noticed it as he was handing it to me. i offered to just bag it myself if he could bring me a bag, but he kindly took it back and asked a girl behind the food warmer to bag it. i stood and listened to her argue about bagging the food and it was another 5 mins before i actually got my food, which was sitting there getting cold. finally got my food - i ordered a single butter with cheese and tomato only. opened it and it was a plain hamburger patty, on a bun. no cheese. no tomato. and cold. never coming back. read more

They are short staffed have a sign posted asking for your patience here. I get it as everywhere I've been has been short staffed. So know this going in, it will not be a fast experience. I always have yo order a boatload of food and the guy at the register was patient and got it all right. We had some problems with our order once we got it. For the first burger, I ordered no toppings. Every burger after that I listed the toppings but apparently the "no toppings" comment was stuck in the cashiers head. I saw the toppings listed on the screen but somehow they never made it on the burger. Of course this was discovered as we were driving along and far away from the restaurant. My husband and I stopped at this Culver's while on a road trip. We went inside to order and use the restroom. While waiting for our carry out, I almost walked out because the food handling and cleanliness practices were so disgusting. I was starving so we stayed but I will never be back. Most employees preparing food/drinks did not wear gloves. Those that did wear gloves did not change them when appropriate (I.e., touching/wiping their face and going back to food prep). Long hair was also not securely pulled back whatsoever - I'm shocked that I didn't find a long hair in my salad! Every surface was extremely greasy (floor, order number, counter, etc). Worst of all - while in the bathroom, I saw an employee use the restroom and leave without washing their hands . For the record, I usually don't notice these type of things but this was very obvious and just unprofessional. We're giving it two stars because the food was great, as always. It was served fresh and hot. They all socially distanced the tables well. We recommend drive-thu ONLY. The three stars we didn't add on are because it was absolutely filthy. This was the first restaurant we've eaten inside of in a year and we regret it. The hand sanitizer was empty, the floor was sticky, the soda machine was malfunctioning, the ketchup was empty or all over the counter, straw wrappers everywhere, and the staff seemed to not know that masks are worn both over your mouth AND nose. The garbage cans, from the one outside to the ones inside, were overflowing. They were clearly understaffed or didn't care about the cleanliness of their location. I asked for a new one and the manager came out to tell me that it's just how the burgers looked there. He actually argued with me on this. Delicious fast food is expected at Culver's. On a road trip, this location hit the spot perfectly. A single mushroom and Swiss was cooked and seasoned so well, I savored every bite. The crispy edges and the gooey cheese complemented the meaty mushrooms. One of the best versions of that sandwich I've had. Hubby had the Wisconsin Swiss melt, also good. The fries were fine, could have been crispier and saltier; they lean too far to the mealy side, but I don't usually get fries there. No time for their delectable custard today. Service isn't good. We stopped here Saturday evening for a Lemon Ice for DH and concrete for me. I was hoping that peach would be the Flavor of the Day but it wasn't so, since peaches are on their menu, I ordered a peach concrete. I was told they don't have peaches. Hmmm, peaches are on the on-line and in store menus. She checked with another lady who was probably a manager, but nope, no peaches. So I changed my order to a chocolate concrete with Heath Bar crunch and hot fudge. I saw her filling the cup with vanilla custard, but assumed she was making something for someone else. Plus, I was distracted by a big discussion about a problem with the Lemon Ice machine and they were out of Lemon Ice -- oh, there's enough for one. OK, that will be fine. Nope, they scooped up the Lemon Ice and gave it to someone who ordered after me! WHAT!! Then she brings me my vanilla concrete that was supposed to be chocolate and asked if I wanted to substitute for the Lemon Ice. DH is lactose intolerant so custard was not an option. Then she asked if I wanted a refund. WHAT? Like I'm just going to leave and let them keep the money? Yes, I would like a refund....wait for it....she said she couldn't do refunds. OMG, this just gets worse and worse. Meanwhile, my concrete is melting. She got the guy who was taking drive-thru orders to come over and do the refund, so he's talking on his headset, talking to her, and talking to me. What a mess. I just wanted my money back and out of there, so I didn't mention my concrete was WRONG! Love Culver's frozen custard but I'll have to get my fix at a different store! There was a female worker in the back preparing the food bullying a female worker in the front taking the orders and it was awkward for the customers. We just went to Culvers and had the worst experience ever!! I only went because my husband was craving a concrete mixer and I'm not a fan of DQ. I wanted to try their new pub burger, so we went. I ordered 3 pub burgers, 3 mixers, 2 cheese curds and a fry. We arrived at approximately 5:15pm, received our food at 5:30pm and they brought 2 of our mixers at 5:52pm, forgetting our third. We got our third at 5:55pm. Our food was ice cold, our mixers were melted and there was no dips, as we requested for our curds. If I go to a restaurant and spend over $38 then I really expect better service than this. As delicious as their food is, they just lost lost a customer due to poor service. They had 8 cars waiting on both sides of the exits and staff running around in the rain from car to car getting orders mixed up. I heard one female staff say to another, "Oh my God!!" Ordered 2 curds and a burger, they asked us to wait in our car in front of the restaurant. We proceeded to wait for 10 minutes, then were told that they gave our order to someone else. So then we wait another 10 minutes, parked in full view directly in front of the building, and are completely ignored while every other car around us gets served. Also employees not wearing masks properly or at all when I went inside to check where our food was. In the end we asked for a refund and they couldn't put it back on my card for some reason so they gave me cash instead. read more

Burgers, burgers, burgers! This place is awesome from start to finish. I love their butterburgers. They taste so good. Not only are the burgers delicious, but you could pretty much throw darts at the menu while blindfolded and hit something that is also really good. As much as you'll like their burgers and might be tempted to get two, you should really save room for dessert. The sundaes here are crazy good. It's something about the frozen custard that is really rich and sweet, without being too rich and sweet. It's hard to describe, and I know that pretty much defeats the purpose of my review... but you'll thank me for having you go find out for yourself, first-hand, what I'm talking about. You won't regret your trip here if you like good burgers. Warning: if you're a health nut, then stay far away from this establishment... The experience wasn't that good. I sat down in a booth, and ended up sitting on a pickle from another customer. Because of this, I moved to the table across the aisle. I then pointed it out to a waiter that there was a pickle in the seat and he just picked it up and walked away. He then came by a second time with a rag and a bucket of water and just stared at the seat for about 10 seconds and then looked at me. And believe it or not, he didn't even wipe off the table! What a bummer. Culver's used to be a sure thing as far as fast food goes. I ordered the 3 piece cod dinner. The roll was cold. The mashed potatoes were room temperature. If Not for the gravy they would have been inedible. The cod was pretty bad. It was soaked through with grease, I expect from being a precooked and then sitting for some amount of time and then thrown back in the grease to warm up. After 1 piece of fish and half the potatoes, I threw the rest out. The 2 stars is only for the fast friendly service. Avoid this location. read more
