The worst Chick-fil-a we've been to and it's not even close. We are a University and routinely order from Chic-fil-a - never have had an issue, only a great experience. This location is atrocious. We placed a large catering order - spoke with TWO managers, neither said thank you, no "my pleasure", just incredibly rude people. Meanwhile, this was not a rush hour, all hands on deck time of the day, it was 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. In addition, the location was dirty - there were scuff and dirt marks on the floor near the front entrance, and paper items on the ground in the bathroom. Just a bad experience - not to mention we purchased over $500 with of food. Forget about the ordering process - we called close to 5 hours in advance and spent a solid 30 mins on hold as the catering service could not get a hold of the store, as no one would answer the phone! Overall, just an awful location, rude managers, dirty and gross, zero personality that makes dining at Chic-fil-a the typical pleasurable experience. My advice, someone else in Springfield should open a competing Chic-fil-a...you'd put this location out of business in about a week. read more

DO NOT ORDER DOORDASH FROM HERE! I'm a dasher and DoorDash is merely an afterthought at this place. Orders sitting on counters, no attempt to identify who is in the building waiting to take an order, even though the DoorDash system alerts them when the driver has arrived at the location. Zero urgency from most workers. Just milling around, taking their time getting carry out and DoorDash orders ready. If you're ordering DoorDash, getting your food to you is not a priority. They will get to it when every other task has been addressed. If you're a driver, don't take orders from here. $7 for 3 miles seems good until you stand there for 15 minutes, even if there are no other dashers. It's brutal read more

Service is always sooooo slow here. It's the only CFA in the country that seemingly doesn't care about service speed. On top of that, our order is almost never correct (including this morning where we had to run out into the rain to go back inside to get more than one thing on the order fixed). The line is insanely long because they have half the restaurant in the esporta parking lot taking orders instead of having them in the kitchen making food. It is unbelievably inefficient where I now order 45 minutes before getting my food from a menu handed to me by an employee who has an attachment on his backside holding the menu which I'm sure has been touched by god knows how many people since the last time it was washed off with any sanitizer. All so I can, what? Wait for 45 minutes in a line knowing that they know what I ordered? Point of advice to management. Do you see how every other busy drive thru in town doesn't have half of its staff catering to a line a mile long? That's because everyone else PUTS THEIR EMPLOYEES IN THE KITCHEN. I actually walked in once to see if going inside was better. I saw about 20 employees standing around doing nothing, dirt and grime everywhere, all of them seemed to be having a great time tho. At the end of the drive thru there are two kids on the outside of the store, rifling through bag after bag of food (no gloves), seemingly confused, they tell me to pull up to the second traffic cone so they can run it to me later once they figure out who's food is who's. So now, I'm blocking the rest of the line while other people get their food handed to them and are forced to stare at my bumper until the food, which is frigid after sitting open on the outside of a drive thru window, is finally given to me. Horrible food. Horrible service. Unsanitary interior. But hey, at least they begrudgingly say "my pleasure" instead of "you're welcome" right! So polite. Just go to Cane's down the road. This location CONSISTENTLY messes up orders, only halfway fills fries, gives the wrong size drinks, and has super rude workers. Definitely going downhill, it used to be a lot better. Visited the Springfield, IL Chick-fil-A for the first time today and was very impressed by the amazing service we received. Ian took our order and was quite pleasant. They were extremely busy with nearly every table occupied. Despite the large volume of patrons, the staff was very attentive and made an effort to approach us multiple times. Catherine cleaned our table as we arrived, refilled our drinks, gave us mints, made conversation and emptied our tray after we finished. Even my 10 year old niece mentioned without prompting how nice the staff was and how much she enjoyed the food. Isaac also greeted us and offered his service. Not only was the food of good quality and freshly cooked but the service was outstanding, unlike any I have received at a fast food restaurant. We will be back! read more

Started taking my pickup order at speaker and then decided to stop, pulled up to window to get my pickup order and they made me pull around for 10-15 minutes in front of the building after waiting 25 minutes in the line, then proceeded to not give me utensils for my Macaroni and Cheese. Went inside for a spoon or fork and no condiment tables to be found, so I waited for help. 6-7 DoorDash drivers were given service before I could get a spoon. I ended up grabbing one and leaving. This Chick-fil-a greatly exemplified how every Chick-fil-a should be like. Let me get this out of the way, the food is amazing, no duh it's Chick-fil-a. They got my food to me at a reasonable time in the kind of rush this particular location had. They also had no mess ups not only for me, but for my group's orders too. In some of my previous reviews, it is said that we were at a youth convention. It was lunch time and many of those people who were at that convention were also at Chick-fil-a. It was a line literally out to the door because everyone just wants some delicious chicken. I know this is the kind of reputation that the company as a whole shoots for: amazing and quality service, respect, and etiquette for all customers. One of the women on the register kindly yet loudly asked "I may help the next customer". I normally start my order by saying "hi" she didn't immediately asked what can I get for you, but asked "hello, how are you" with a smile and a great attitude. I replied saying good. She took my order and told her it was for here, and she politely told me how they were so busy they ran out of trays so they're giving to go bags. I was totally cool with it, but I was impressed by they way she communicated that with me. I gotta say, it was extremely busy and it was crazy, but she wanted to make sure that myself and every customer she encounters comes and leaves with the feeling that they were welcomed! This store was clean. Easy enough to get to off the highway. Our cashier was friendly and a gentleman on break sitting at booth said good morning to my husband and I are we entered which was nice so early in the morning. This was one of the worst chick-fil-a locations for us. We were charged extra for cheese on a deluxe sandwich (comes with cheese). They did get us the food extremely fast, hence two stars, but forgot the milkshake. There were about 5 employees standing around hardly working and conversing. The manager had to ask what we were waiting for and when reminded, she did not respond later to inform us if someone was making it or why we were still waiting. A few minutes later, an employee came out with a shake that was not full and very runny. No apology was stated when we received it. I would have ignored this experience if the sandwiches and fries would have been warm and fresh. The buns on both sandwiches were soggy and fries lukewarm. This all seemed unacceptable as we have ate at many other locations and received better service and quality food even with less employees working and more customers in line. read more
