Got into town late Sunday and everything was closed but Culver's was open. Grabbed a double cheeseburger and got back to my room while it was still hot. The fries were crunchy and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and served hot. Culver's fries were a nice alternative to the smooth and skinny ones at other places. In comparison to other burgers the hamburger bun was fresh and had a feel and texture similar to Hawaiian rolls. The patty was charbroiled but seemed extremely salty in taste, however, it didn't stop me from finishing the burger. I placed my order on their website and found Culver's online menu easy to use. This was probably the most disappointing experience I've had at a Culver's. They are my favorite "ice cream" joint, and have been my go to for years. Tonight I went through the drive thru and ordered a medium malt, but with the chocolate custard. When I got it, I noticed it was made with vanilla and chocolate syrup. So I parked and went inside to ask for it to be remade. I've had this happen a few times with concrete mixers and it isn't a big deal. When I got inside I spoke with several employees who repeatedly told me that shakes and malts couldn't be made with chocolate custard. I tried to explain that I didn't understand why they couldn't make a malt with chocolate custard, but the employees kept doubling down and said that "chocolate" malts were only made with vanilla custard and chocolate syrup. The staff were extremely dismissive and displayed a level of discourtesy I haven't seen in a Culver's before. I will never be returning to the Urbandale location and the interaction has put me off the chain for a while. read more

There is no longer any excuse to use "we are short-handed!" Your manager or regional supervisors must waste no time rewriting the job station handbooks, NOW! I don't care if there are only 3 staff working, doing 2 jobs each. You study the rules, learn them, and refer to prompting notes at each work station. If you can't read, sorry bud you can't work here and get prime pay! Keep up unsatisfactory service and it will be 4 households of our family dropping you from our acceptable fast food list in more than a few communities. Usually when we are in need of a Culvers ice cream fix we hit the drive through. Quick in and out and away we go. This is the best stuff around. I love it. This time we stopped in cause we had a few minutes to kill. It was a line to the door. The line moved fairly well and we had our order in. We sat about twenty minutes and waited, watched everyone else around us get their fried food dinners. We weren't on a time crunch but finally we checked on it and they had lost our order. Well, fine, okay. So they made my single scoop into a three scoop to make up for it. I wasn't too upset and we do visit Culvers often. Hands down, the greasiest fast food burger I've ever willingly eaten. Single-handed, this Culver's Deluxe Double was able to triple my cholesteral levels. The patties were smashed together and slathered in grease, so the first bite before hitting the bun, veggies and cheese was a rough one. Fast and yummy greasy food. My kids love it every time. I will pass on the food and order a concrete mixer for dinner every time! And sneak a few cheese curds from the kids. They are a lovely mix of white and orange cheese, my kids love guessing which ones are filled with each. The sourdough melt is tasty as well as the fish sandwich. Food is really good. Wait time isn't bad at all. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. BUT - I witnessed cashier "Noah" eating fries from the fries in their heater bin. He would look around and then grab fries from someone's future fry order and eat them. Ordered a chicken sandwich with onion rings, my dad ordered cheese curds. Took forever for our order to come out, they said it takes so long because they make each order as it's placed. Okay, cool. Well I was so disappointed in this sandwich that I only ate a few bites. We go to Culver's on a regular basis. They are on point with the food and are helpful inside as well. I recently had an issue with the drive thru. I got all the way home to find out my chicken strips were not put in the bag. I left the food for my family and went back to get the strips with my receipt. This was after four families got refunds and left. The worst part was that my burger was room temperature and the cheese curds were trash. What a customer service experience!! Culver's is my favourite fast food restuarant even though I live on the east coast... ( :,( ) and my card hadn't went through so my order wasn't being sent back to the kitchen yet while I was waiting. After a few minutes, no one told me that my food wasn't being made. Then, an employee came and asked what we were waiting for because he didn't see anything on the screen, we told him, and he checked the screen and told me my payment didn't go through yet, so whoever first took my order didn't notice that had happened. So I paid a different way and he helped get it out super fast! He shook my boyfriend's hand, told us to enjoy our night, and I believe he said his name was Armand but I forget things so easily and I was tired. I hope management notices this. He clearly listened to the brand training and knows what Culver's service is supposed to be about! It was my first stop at Culver's in a year since driving from New York to Nevada, and we are on our way to New York this time.
