I was booked for that Monday! The day of my appointment, I was called several hours before my appointment to say they had an earlier than expected time slot and wanted to know if they could come now. Unfortunately I couldn't do earlier than scheduled but appreciated them asking! My time slot was 4-6 pm. They showed up at 4:05! Wow! I can't tell you how many times companies give time slots and show up hours AFTER the time frame. But not Markool! They are on it! Jorge and Jose were my technicians. They were both very friendly and went right to diagnosing the issue. After about 30 minutes, they figured out I needed Freon. I asked the pricing and they had a tablet to look up the pricing right away. If you need Freon be warned it's expensive! Not this company's fault though it seems to be commonly expensive when I looked online out of curiosity. These two technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything. They said they would come the 3rd day and look at it again. After $700 in invoices for nothing, I said I was done with them. I shouldn't have to pay extra for their incompetence.

Ken & Scott were very responsive; initial call was a Tuesday afternoon and they had a tech onsite the next day (Wednesday), who was trained & equipped to perform a leak test due to our central AC unit freezing up. The system was back up & running by noon the following Friday. The initial test (without nitrogen) quickly showed a leak at the copper pipes where they enter the coil unit. Ken was able to get us a soft copy quote the same day for parts & labor; they researched the unit warranty & history with the manufacturer & found the defective coil was itself a warranty replacement in 2020 (before we bought the house) & unfortunately had no coverage as such. I really appreciated the effort Ken put into looking at our situation & options, & the transparency. There was absolutely no mention of or pressure to buy a new unit but I did ask about a ballpark figure just to get an idea. Ken and I concluded that the repair was much more cost effective & appropriate versus a new system at this time. We agreed to proceed and Scott set up the parts order, with the repair set for the following Friday morning. Scott and his technician came out at 10am on Friday & advised us they'd be about 2 to 3 hours. They proceeded to remove the defective unit & installed the new coil, charged it with refrigerant, and ops tested the system while monitoring pressure to ensure no other leaks or issues were present. They cleaned up the HVAC room & even rerouted a cable powering the UV light so that it was neatly out of the way. Scott also provided great tips on checking the high level MERV filters we have & increased frequency of replacements as needed to ensure a good airflow. He also educated me on how to maintain the conversation drain pipe and pump with vinegar instead of bleach, to prevent the metal component of the float switch from corroding. Finally, Scott answered questions I had about our system's longevity and quality of different manufacturers' systems. A note about their professionalism: they always donned protective shoe covers before entering the house, without me ever having to request it. They always wore company logo shirts and drove professionally labeled trucks in good repair, & it was evident that Scott was instructing his apprentice technician. They also made sure all screws were where they should be--you'd be surprised how many maintenance techs (any industry) overlook details like this. I cite these as some examples of a solid, dependable company after many years observing best practices in my own career and those of other companies I've done business with both professionally & privately. We called in Air Doctor after filling a maintenance request though American Home Shield, who had initially assigned a different vendor, United Air Temp. They were not able to diagnose or resolve the issue over the course of about 10 days, having sent techs on at least 2 occasions who were not able to perform the needed leak test, with rescheduling always taking additional phone calls and at least two days to arrange. They also seemed more interested in selling us other services such as water heater cleaning or an annual HVAC maintenance agreement. After the last tech came in without any progress, we decided to ask help from a professional network my wife is part of along with Ken, and the result was as described above--a very prompt and thorough resolution.

These systems are incredibly complicated but Premier's electrical, plumbing, and plastering work was carefully and professionally done--every one of their contractors was a consummate professional. The installed units work excellently. Boris was very thorough, patient, and answered every question, before, during, and after the install.
