Cumin and Curry is another Indian buffet. It does have a separate menu. Most people only get the buffet though. Buffet is only for lunch hours. The selection is pretty weak. It was described by someone there as the best Indian buffet. Maybe they meant the weekend buffet. This was on a weekday. Apparently they expand the buffet on weekends a bit. The weekday buffet is about $12 for not that much. The weekend buffet costs about $15 or so. It just does not have that much going on here. There's a lot of chicken and a few vegetarian items. Most vegetarian items are the appetizers. The pakora are pretty good. It's better with the chutney. The only decent vegetarian entree was the baigan bartha, the eggplant. Buffet is small with not that many choices. It also costs too much. This is a nice try but it's not good enough and there's much better Indian buffets that's have better prices and selections. read more

Wow! What an amazing food experience! The paneer they serve at this place is mind blowing. The flavor of the sauce is so rich and delicious, and the heat? Whew!!! I broke a sweat after the third bite. I went with the tandoori chicken as well, which is equally delicious. What really blew me away was how much food they serve for the money! I spent $25 bucks and I walked out with a doggie bag for later. Another big plus about Cumin and Curry is they serve craft beer! On my visit they had BrewDog and CBC on tap, as well as the standard Indian brews and a few American domestics. I think I've found my new favorite Indian restaurant in Columbus. read more

I have been a pickier eater my whole life, but the last few years I've really been trying hard to expand my palette. One cuisine I have been really interested in trying is Indian as it wasn't something I had at all growing up and am just largely unfamiliar with it. I've been eyeing this spot for quite a while now and when I had to make a stop at the FedEx right next door I decided to give it a go. We arrived around 5:45 on a Friday and were seated with no wait. I had the mango lassi to drink and it was really delicious. It had that nice thick consistency (like a drinkable yogurt) and a great mango flavor. We didn't get any appetizers but I would like to try some of them in the future. For my entree I tried the chicken korma just based on the description on the menu. I ordered it mild and I think next time I would add a bit more spice. The flavors of this dish were absolutely incredible and had a bit of sweetness that I really liked. The pieces of chicken were really juicy, but I do wish there had been more. My friend ordered the chicken saagwala and that had even less pieces of meat in it, so I think there's some consistency issue there. I tried his sauce with some of the garlic naan we ordered and I really liked it as well, but not as much as the korma. For dessert I tried another new item for me, rasmalai. The flavor and texture were unlike anything I'd ever had before and I was a huge fan. Overall the food here was amazing and I am really glad I tried it. I'd love to return and try some of the other items on the menu. The only less than ideal part of our visit was the service. After the food was delivered we never heard from our server again even though we saw her walking around the small dining room. We had to ask the person taking our plates away to get our server for us so we could order dessert. But other than that very minor issue this was a great visit. read more

In town on business and didn't want to venture out, so I took to GrubHub and ordered from here. Best decision of the day! Everything was incredibly seasoned and prepared. I had the goat curry (full of tender goat), chicken biryani (flavorful and abundant without being overly greasy), Chicken 65 (spiced perfectly), garlic naan (soft and tender), and raita (cool and creamy). This was the first time I tried lamb biryani at any restaurant, and I was not disappointing. This place changed my opinion on lamb, as I didn't remember liking it when I was a bit younger. It was so tender, and I loved the spices. The lighting fixtures were really cool too, kind of random thought but memorable. I would recommend this place to anyone. After wanting to try Cumin & Curry for a while now, I finally went for dinner. We came a few minutes before opening on a Saturday and were allowed in early. The inside of the restaurant is bright and clean. I started out with a mango lassi. It was delicious, the perfect balance of tart and sweet. We also got the 3 piece samosa entree. The samosas are wrapped in a light, flaky crust and stuffed with peas and potatoes. They had a nice spicy kick to them as well. For my entree, I got the Kadai Paneer. I asked for mild spice, which was not very spicy at all. I like a little more spice, so I will ask for medium next time! The dish came with a tomato sauce with paneer, onions, and peppers. The other person in my party got the vegetable biryani. I tried a bite and loved it! I would like to get the biryani as my meal in the future. I ordered takeout but am confident I got food poisoning from there. I ate only once that day so there was nothing else it could have been. About 12 hours later I woke up to all the lovely experiences of food poisoning (think bridesmaids movie). After about 6 hours of that it ended. So it wasn't the flu or a bug. Never again. I've had my eye on this place for a while now and finally decided to try a few weeks ago. I tried calling my order in ahead of time but it kept going to busy then voicemail. So I ended up ordering via GrubHub. When I arrived the man asked for my order receipt which I showed him on my email but because it didn't have my name directly on the order he kept going back-and-forth with me. It was a little strange especially since my email which had my name was attached to the receipt. After about five minutes he finally gave me my food and I was on my way. I have been on an Indian food kick for the last 2 years. I tried C&C and loved it. I also wanted to try other Indian restaurants to see how they compare. For some reason, they are not the same, and I kind of expected them to be. C&C wins against all other Indian/Curry restaurants I have tried. It has to eb the spices and quality of the dish. I order shrimp sagwala, tika masala, and cumin methi. No other places seasons their dishes like C&C does. You will have to try other places after eating here to understand. Nothing comes close to this place. I like food hot and spicy in the extreme and they make dishes to order, and never disappoint. Today I ordered the medium heat Chicken Tikki Marsala, Garlic Naan, & Rice. Let me tell yal this was slappin! The food was good... Nice food presentation... The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice too. I was the only customer seated in the restaurant. The employees were busy putting carry out orders together, so they weren't able to provide any service to me. No one stopped by my table after my food was brought. I had to get my own refills, ask for my check, and ask for a carryout box because the employees seemed to be too busy doing other things. I felt invisible. I was given a gift card for UberEats and decided to break it in with an order to Cumin and Curry, which I've been meaning to try out. Got Chicken 65, chicken biryani, and kashmiri naan. The Chicken 65 (medium spice level) was incredibly flavorful, the biryani same (and a generous amount, I'll be lunching on this for days), and the naan (stuffed with coconut and nuts) made a perfect sort of dessert. *Pre-COVID19 earlier this year* My gf and I were in the area around lunch time, and after running errands, we were starving! As we walked to our cars, we browsed on Yelp trying to find someplace to eat. However, our senses could smell something spicy and fragrant, and when we looked around we found Cumin & Curry! Walking in, we saw a vibrant, relaxing, and clean dining area that accompanied the smells that led us there. The owners/managers greeted us with smiles and chatted with us as we had never been there before (though we love Indian food!). Browsing at the various arrays of options, everything looked fresh and served properly. There had a good selection of both meat and vegetarian options, and also spicy and mild dishes too! The workers also came by to make sure there wasn't something that needed to be replenished that we wanted to try. They serve fresh naan too, and the owner let us try their garlic naan (usually not free) too, since we were newbies at their establishment. Additionally, we got their mango lassi to cool off and it had a smooth balance of tart and sweet. On the side, they had a small dessert bar and fresh hot chai (one per customer) -- it was delicious and a nice end to the meal. When we're back in the area, we'll definitely stop by again! The food here was amazing but the service was just ok. It took a while for someone to finally take our order. The waitresses were really sweet, just needed to be more attentive on refills. I drank a lot because the food was spicy! I ordered a mild tikka masala and medium lamb korma. The tikka masala was wayyyy spicier than the korma, I'm not sure if they mixed the spice preference for the dishes or if that is how it normally tastes. Also ordered the bread basket and it was incredible. Can't wait to come back and try more stuff! read more

I have been there at this restaurant for lunch buffet 10 + times. This is the first restaurant to open buffet after Covid restriction relaxation . Good number of items in the buffet is good , they have more option on sweet and have chat corner as well . Ambience is good , they provide you fresh naan . Tea after the buffet is good . They have ample vegan plus non veg options . The food is mild in spice and That is ok . But my only suggestions is on their tandoori chicken / briyani both have color but no taste . For the non native Indian or Nepali ( I believe this is a Nepali based rest ) the the food have been modified for spices I am ok with that . If at least for these 2 dishes , instead of coloring agent in tandoori chicken they can use real Masala . Briyani that makes the main course definitely they can do way better in prep / taste . read more

I like Indian buffets because they allow me to taste several dishes at once. Cumin & Curry offers their buffet at lunch time every day. More dishes are put out on the weekends, thus the higher price than the weekday (for instance, a chaat station is set up, they offer more appetizers and desserts, and more meat dishes are offered). I explained to the gentleman at the register I just had weight-loss surgery, so my portions are very small, and he had no problem charging me the kids buffet price ($6.99), as opposed to the adult ($10.99). That right there gets an entire star all by itself! I loved all the dishes I tried! Spiced so well, much more than many other Indian buffets I've tried around town. Two thumbs of for all three dishes - Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Rogan Josh, and Saag Paneer. I could really taste the spinach in the Saag Paneer, a new twist. Fresh spinach or not, it was well done. Obviously loved the creamy Tikka Masala. Slightly sweet and savory. The Chicken Rogan has some spice that summers in the back of your mouth; that bone-in chicken was incredibly tender, too!While I didn't have any of the FRESH HOT naan that's brought out complimentary, it was soft and warm - my mother said it was very good. It's nice being able to see the buffet places up front. Paying at the register BEFORE eating was nice because I didn't have to track down a waiter for my bill and wait through that process.
