This was my first time dining at NAPA, and it was an amazing experience all because of our server, Harvey! It's truly special when a server makes the effort to get to know everyone at the table, make jokes and join in on the laughs. I was visiting Columbus for the weekend, and throughout the rest of my stay after dinner, I can say this meal was a highlight! The atmosphere was beautiful, and we were seated right away! The cocktails were amazing, I had a strawberry fields. Now as for the short ribs, they melted in my mouth! They paired perfectly with the risotto, truly a great plate of food that felt like home! We came to NAPA Kitchen & Bar in Easton to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary, and it was our very first time visiting. We absolutely loved the ambiance! If you like a cozy, intimate vibe, this is it--think gorgeous driftwood accents all over, perfect lighting, and a quiet atmosphere where you can see other customers but still enjoy a private conversation. It was just the way we like it.Our host, Paige, did an awesome job taking care of us. She was incredibly knowledgeable and suggested both our appetizer and dessert, which were fantastic. Even the sides (like the fries) were perfectly portioned--not too much, not too little. I've honestly hesitated to write this review because this has been one of my family's favorite restaurants, and our experiences here have consistently been excellent--until now. We visited yesterday around 3 PM after seeing the new Mario movie. We didn't have a reservation, but seating wasn't an issue at that time. As always, the restaurant was clean, lively, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, and our waitress was attentive throughout our visit. We ordered many of our usual favorites, but my entrée--the braised short rib--was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect. While the meat itself was still tender, moist, and flavorful, the risotto was disappointing. It lacked its usual creamy texture and was noticeably too thick. Additionally, the dish was served with only carrots as the root vegetable, whereas in the past it has included a variety of vegetables that really elevated the overall flavor and presentation. I was especially disappointed because this was actually the first time I remembered to take a photo of my meal before digging in. I came in fully intending to finally leave a glowing five-star review based on all of our previous great experiences--but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. This was surprising, especially given how consistently great this dish--and the restaurant overall--has been during our previous visits. We've dined here at least five times this year and even celebrated our son's third birthday here, so this experience felt out of character. One difference worth noting is that we typically visit for dinner, and this was our first time coming during the afternoon. It's possible there may be differences in the kitchen or service during that time. We do plan to return, as we're hoping this was just an off day. Had such a phenomenal experience here last week for my first visit. This restaurant is so cute and the Christmas decorations were gorgeous. We loved the cozy atmosphere and great vibes. Our server was amazing, kicking myself for not catching his name but he was hilarious and was one of the best waiters we've had. The recommendations and service were excellent. They had a great selection of food and we really enjoyed the calamari for an appetizer, the beef short rib and chicken entrees. First of all, this is such a cute restaurant. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and so homey and comforting. With the hanging lights over the bar, the mood lighting, and the laid back interior, it's a perfect spot for dinner. We were driving through Columbus and I'm so glad we decided to stop in! Our server was very attentive and quick. We wanted to share everything so he ensured that every item came out on two plates and was split. I know places do that, but sometimes they just bring you two plates. Here, they actually split it for us so the presentation was beautiful (note short rib!). The food was so good. The standout dish was definitely the short rib with a mascarpone risotto and root vegetables. This was melt in your mouth good. The Brie was tasty, a little sweet for my liking... and the arugula salad had a delicious lemon vinaigrette! If I'm ever back in Easton, I WILL be back here. The cheeseboard was marvelous. 4 cheeses, a lovely combination of soft and firm selections served with almonds, apricot marmalade, and amazing flatbread crackers. Our favorite was the blueberry goat cheese, but the remaining 3 tied for a close second place tie. I unashamedly continued using the cheeses on the sliced pears in my salad. I know what you're thinking - 'genius move' and you may be right - but it was a delicious move for certain. The salads were perfectly portioned for an entree. We chose the Harvest Salmon and the Napa Greens (add grilled chicken). Each contained sliced pears and nuts and had a delightful honey mustard vinaigrette dressing. I was happy to hear him say this was a scratch kitchen and it was evident by the quality and taste. Grant was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Would ask for him again next time. Tried a few different apps (Ahi Tuna wontons, Grilled Shrimp in prosciutto, and the baked Marinara and cheese). Also got a tomato, basil, and cheese pizza from the wood fired oven which is a great way to do pizza that adds flavor and ambience all at the same time. Bathrooms are gender neutral and individual rooms. I met a friend for brunch on a Saturday. They serve brunch until 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday along with their lunch menu. They serve wine by the glass and bottle (great prices and selections!), a great alcohol free menu and hand crafted cocktails. I got the Cafe Martini and a Spiced Margarita. Both highly recommended. My friend got the alcohol free Piot Nior. It had the same taste and feel of a wine without the alcohol. We split the Arugula Salad and Prosciutto Arugula Pizza. The pizza was deliciously baked in the wood fired oven. Not too crispy or chewy. The right balance. The Prosciutto gave some salty savory notes with freshness of the arugula on top. The salad had a light dressing with some crunchy pistachios to give it some volume and flavor. Let me say, the service was amazing, attentive and kind. The high ceilings give the space an open, airy feeling even with a full restaurant. The wine selection is pretty good with many by-the-glass options and flights. My salad was very good, there may have been a few nuts in the salad that may have been a bit old - but other than that it was very good. My son ate the whole sandwich. Very happy with the meal. The experience and the food were comparable to the other locations I've visited. For dinner I had the harvest salmon salad, and the salmon was delicious, if visiting I highly recommend that salad. The most beautiful wine bar I have ever been to! I was an a little shopping trip and stumbled onto this fantastic spot. I didn't have a pizza but they have these 2 huge pizza ovens and I'm sure the pizza is wonderful. I had the Pinot noir wine and some ahi tuna crisps and they were really delicious. Party of 8 at 6:30pm on Friday June 17,. Our waitress was rude and impatient. We mentioned about being hot and she snapped back " Well!!! There's nothing we can do about it . " It was uncomfortably warm . Most of us felt really uncomfortable about her attitude but we didn't want to spoiled the moment for the birthday girl . So we dealt with it . The kicker was when we asked her to explain the bill (just my bill) She was so loud like the whole restaurant could hear her. Our experience could have been better if our service didn't have an attitude. We decided to not order any drinks and just wanted to leave and go somewhere else for drinks. The services were outstanding and when they went out their way to ask if we wanted our pizza before our pasta blew my mind. The pizza was delicious i repeat it was delicious. I had gotten the sausage and peppers pizza, the sausage was amazing and well seasoned, the peppers were sweet but not too sweet which was great. I had also gotten the chicken DIAVOLO and I was amazed I repeat I was amazed. The pasta was 10/10, the sauce was out amazing. My experience at Napa was just alright. The space is gorgeous! Seriously very well decorated. The outside is cute, but kinda weird for the food and servers to have to enter and exit through the 1 main door. I understand that's how it was built when the old wood fired restaurant was there though, so there's nothing Napa could do. I saw on some other reviews at other locations, they had complimentary bread. I don't think they do at Easton or they don't anymore. To start, we ordered the mushroom bruschetta and the marinara dip. Both portions of these apps were pretty small for the price. Especially the bruschetta being four small pieces. We had lots of dip left over because you receive 5 small slices of toast. For my main I had the pork chop. The porkchop was cooked nicely but could've used some more seasoning. The rice pilaf was very undercooked. It was crunchy almost, signaling the rice was not cooked fully. The Brussel sprouts were fine. Some people like their a little on the burnt side, but these definitely weren't. My friend and I were cutting them and it took some power. Again, kind of undercooked. I felt like for my whole meal, I had to keep putting salt, cheese, or red pepper flakes on my plate to give it some flavor. To drink I had their strawberry cocktail with vodka, which was delicious. When I was ready for my next drink, we didn't have our drink menu anymore since they're quite large (the same size as the normal menu) and the tables are small. I asked for the house Sauvignon Blanc in a 9oz. When I got my check, that glass was $20. I was not very happy about that. I take the blame for not asking for a menu, but I was under the impression that the house wine is usually on the cheaper side. After tip, for two drinks, a pork chop and splitting the two apps four ways, my bill was $82. It just felt like a lot for a pretty mediocre experience. If I wanted to spend that much I would've gone to coppers hawk or Del Mar. Our server was super friendly and kind. I just don't think I'd be back. Easton has lots of restaurants and this one sadly missed the mark. read more
