This is a very good and reliable local restaurant. The food is fresh and made well. It's a typical Italian menu, and everything is quality.

I know I am definitely coming back for tiramisu again. Pastas were amazing too , we added grilled shrimps to them which tasted better than fried shrimps. The service was quick and we loved the family style vibe there. Amazing hospitality and straight up traditional pastas!

Christmas Eve a total bust. A revised menu consisting of only a few items compared to the menu you would expect. They ran out of potatoes!!! At 7 pm. Only had ziti . Never again. Seems something is amiss. Cutting corners? New owners? Don't bother going during holidays. Or at least make sure you know what menu you're getting.

    Fried calamari, delicious!

I went to Cafe Tivoli for a 50th birthday party and was pleasantly surprised. Usually the food suffers greatly at events where many people have to get served but every dish I was served was good. They started off with a charcuterie plate, pretty normal and average; not great not bad. Then a simple salad afterwards. Penne vodka came after that and it was very good. Clearly they know how to make this classic a dish, delicious sauce and well cooked pasta (they could have easily overcooked the penne when making it in big quantities). I ordered the shrimp scampi out of a few choices we were offered. Although I thought shrimp scampi came over linguine, they served it on its own with potatoes and string beans on the side. Despite this, it was cooked very well and the garlic sauce on the shrimp was very good. After that they finished off serving everyone ice cream goblets, simple but who can complain about ice cream! Overall a great experience. I will definitely give care Tivoli a try again!

Food is consistently terrible for takeout. Over- salted, over-sauced and amazingly bland.

We've had many family functions here. The service and food are excellent. Definitely worth a shot.

The menu isn't massive, but they cover every category with extreme precision and do it really well. Seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, and all the classic appetizers you can think of from stuffed artichokes, zucchini blossoms, and house-made burrata. The ambiance is old-school Italian in the best way: timeless, romantic, and cozy. It works just as well for an intimate date night as it does for a small group dinner. Bonus points for being BYOB. We ordered the veal marsala and the seafood pomodoro. The veal was pounded to perfection and swimming in a ridiculously addictive sauce. The seafood pasta was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh shrimp, clams, and mussels and you can taste the quality and care put in the food. Meals are served with a salad to start, and you can expect to spend around $35 per entrée, which feels more than fair for the quality. We were genuinely impressed and were treated with a lot of attention throughout the meal. The concept of the restaurant being run by two italian twins was honestly so sweet. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic Italian done right without trekking into the city.

It's surprising how difficult it is to find a pizza spot in town comparable to those top NYC spots, when Fort Lee is such a culinary Mecca. This place beats out the regular slices from Artichoke, and at a fraction of the cost. I absolutely love the white and plain slices here. Two white slices cost me $7.40, and they offer their own free delivery (of course, please tip generously). The people who work here have consistently been really nice, too. I'm leaving this review in support of this locally owned business, since it would benefit us all to keep gems like this in business especially with the economic times of today.

Typically not a big "restaurant at a hotel food guy" but the experience and food here we're both pretty good. There's a nice choice of seating if you prefer a bar experience or a sit down restaurant experience. We chose to sit down restaurant experience. Our waiter was very friendly and quite attentive. After mulling over the menu we were set for dinner. My colleague had the fillet mignon, medium rare with mushroom and Bolognese sauce. I got the rigatoni with eggplant. The dinner starts out with two rolls and butter. Be sure to ask for a choice of rolls as it appears, there are three or four different options to choose from. They were OK, not warm, a bit on the stale side. My colleague enjoyed the steak saying it was tender and filling. It was juicy and had a lot of flavor to it. The overall feedback was positive. My rigatoni was Al Dante, perfect! The red sauce was just right. Not too sweet nor too tangy. There was a fair amount of eggplant and balls of mozzarella cheese. I added Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the top. Every bit of my meal was eaten. Not all meals include a salad. The filet did include a salad. I had to get a side salad. The salads were a bit small and lacking variety but overall OK. Overall this restaurant is a good choice.
