I parked in a lot next to Patsy's -- not their main parking area -- and nothing made it reasonably clear in those conditions that it belonged to them or was restricted. It was an honest mistake. The car was there for around an hour, the lot was mostly empty with plenty of open spaces, and the lot itself is a good distance from the restaurant with no valet or staff present on site. Even if there is signage somewhere, it clearly wasn't visible or obvious enough for a normal person to realize, yet they still chose to tow the car within about an hour despite there being no urgency and no shortage of parking. The towing company Patsy's partners with then charged over $300 in storage and payment fees, including charges that NJ Consumer Affairs later required to be refunded, and they refused to release the vehicle while still charging storage for days. During that time, I had to rely on Ubers to get home and get around, adding even more unnecessary cost and inconvenience. It took nearly two months working with investigators before the towing company finally issued the refund -- the investigator even had to follow up more than once before they complied. Patsy's is responsible for the vendors they choose and how their policies impact people. Partnering with such an aggressive towing company and allowing something like this to happen -- especially when the neighboring lot wasn't full, the car wasn't there long, and it wasn't even clear the lot belonged to them -- says a lot. The experience was unnecessary, stressful, and entirely avoidable, and people should be aware of how they handle situations like this. Because of this, I won't be dining at Patsy's going forward, and I'd strongly encourage others to think carefully before choosing to do so. read more

Meats are from Pat LaFrieda and pasta is fresh from Vitamia. The owner goes to the seaport to pick out fresh seafood of choice. The specials are outstanding with usually a large selection. It is by far one of the best restaurants in the area making this my go to for Italian food. I can't even begin to explain how wonderful our experience was here. The waiter we had was very attentive and suggested us some amazing options from wine down to desert. I have to say my favorite dish here is the bruschetta I have never tasted one like it, The quality of the food is worth the price! I ended up ordering the filet mignon and I tend to be pretty picky with my meats and if I don't like it I won't eat it, but I ended up enjoying the whole thing. Came here for New Year's Eve and it wasn't packed which should speak for itself. The food was subpar. We had calamari and stuffed mushrooms to start- four small mushrooms for $15 and barely cooked calamari with luke warm dipping sauce. Prices for beverages were not on the menu and with $3 no refill fountain sodas and $30 sangria pitchers I think this is warranted. A soup ordered as an appetizer came out AFTER entrees, which took over 30 minutes, and the server and manager looked at me like I had three heads when I told them I didn't want it. The entrees were all subpar- starchy pasta, room temperature proteins, and an over lack of flavor. Dessert cocktail prices were not on the menu, with $15 Irish coffees another huge miss on the part of management. Gratuity was automatically added, also not written on the menu, as was a credit card surcharge, again not put in writing. Between the lack of transparency and honesty and lackluster food, I would have to be crazy to ever come back here. read more

AMAZING EVENT SERVICE! We can't say enough about how AMAZING the service, staff and venue was for our event. It was my girlfriend's mother's 88th birthday and everything was so on point that there wasn't one negative issue or comment from ourselves or our guests. Nothing but positive reviews from everyone. Manny, the owner, was accommodating in every way. I didn't get their names but our 2 waiters were attentive, entertaining yet very professional. And the bus service was so prompt we hardly noticed how quickly plates and glasses were collected. Allowing us to have a mariachi band (which every other restaurant said no) and the connection to hook up our iPhone for music in the room was such a bonus and the great sound system added to the enjoyment! Me and my girlfriend had reservations for her birthday to this place and we got there early and we decided to wait in the car a few minutes. After about 3 minutes some guy claiming to be the owner came out of the restaurant to our car and told us to leave. I said why and then he began to yell at us about how we're not on the reservation list and how he's the owner and we can't park here. Then as we were leaving he spat on the car. 12/24/2023 We had Christmas Eve Dinner at Patsy's. Reservation was handled perfectly. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our table was located in the large room located to the right of the entrance. The table we were seated at had several used dishes on it. I asked a wait person to remove them and he did. The music volume (speaker system) was so loud that we could not hear ourselves speak nor could our waiter hear us. Upon asking , the volume was lowered. Our waiter did not speak very good English. Difficult to understand. Also, he explained to us that he had one month waitperson experience. This was evident as he did not know what wines were available by the glass and he was unsure of our cocktail orders. We had to send the drinks back as they were incorrect. He did say that the bartender was very busy and service could be slow. Moving on, the Calamari and Shrimp Platter for $32.95 was very small and overcooked. The entrees were OK but overpriced. We did not have dessert. This is not the Patsy's that I remember from the original address. There the service was excellent and so was the food. Not so much at this address. They accommodated us with a positive attitude. Food: 4- I wasn't very impressed. The beef was bland. Their raviolis were also bland. However, their garlic and baby clams were very good. Except they gave a lot of empty shells. Did they eat the clams before they brought the plate out? Smh! I recommend not to order the calamari, it's bland, soggy, and chewy. Not very good. They have a unique spicy sauce that goes well with various seafood appetizers, fried calamari, shrimp, and fried shrimp balls, which are a must try. My personal favorite appetizer is the fried cheese with the aforementioned spicy marinara. For entrees you cant go wrong with any parm, eggplant, chicken, veal, all excellent. Been dining here for over 25 years. Same waiters and the food is consistently the same tasting.

Food is still good here but was very disappointed to find that they've raised the prices by 20% on almost every dish. For example, the linguine and clams used to be $15 and now it's $19.95. The shrimps fra diavolo used to be $19.95 and is now $24.95. I understand the need to periodically raise prices but to jump a whopping 25% is plain greedy. Sorry. We will be frequenting this place much less because of the huge price jump. It's a shame. We walked in for dinner and there was only one other table present. It's not a good sign. Customers will notice when their bills are 25% higher than normal. read more

How have I not reviewed this classic? It's a three generation family staple! We adore their food. Our typical order includes mussels in marina with capellini beans to start. We then do an entree of steamed Calabr in sweet sauce. They always are great making us gluten free pasta - and before it was a trend would happily make what we brought! Extended (non gluten-free family members) love their fried calamari as well. Their spicy sauce is also fabulous. Since moving to this location it is a bit louder, but so much nicer. Summers on the patio have served many a family generational meal! read more

We ordered the arugula salad, stuffed mushrooms and baked clams for appetizers. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious!! For entree, we ordered the penne Bolognese for my boys and they ate it all up! A true first!! We also ordered the tortellini carbonara and the shrimp Fra Diablo. All I can say is that the pastas were so fresh and the sauces were so flavorful! We were stuffed but had to order dessert- pistachio gelato and the raspberry sorbetto. Did not disappoint.
