probably the worst fast food experience I have and ever will have in my entire life. I placed a delivery order and never received any messages about it status except for when it said it was delivered. But it wasn't! Instead of the Uber driver that picked it up, stole my food and so when I contacted the store, they had no idea what to do about it. Bunch of headless chickens seem to be working there. This is the third or fourth time that this has happened. And when I tried contacting them throughout the day to figure out how to get help with this issue, my calls were ignored. Last night I had a disappointing visit to CupBop. I go 2-3 times a month, and I love how well they fill the bowls, and have come to expect a certain quantity of noodles and protein. I got 4 bowls for myself and siblings last night, and they were all seriously under-filled. Solidly 30% less than a typical bowl. Additionally, I ended up waiting about twice as long as I usually do, and the mandoo were soggy and lukewarm. Hmmm. This was our first time trying Cupbop after living in Utah for 2 years, and it was fine. I've been craving Korean bowls since we ate at the Angry Korean in Jordan, but haven't found a place similar to it. We opted to try Cupbop because it looked like it could be a contender to Angry Korean except it was a chain. We ordered two bowls, a combo and a Rock Bop, and then two orders of the Mandoo. These were ordered online for in store pick up in Ogden, and we then took them home to eat. First impression: the food isn't that great to look at. The sauce made the food look messy and unappetizing. The taste: it was okay. The B bop in my combo bowl was tasty, but the katsu chicken I had was just okay and the rice and noodles were fine. Very inconsistent. Last night we passed by and decided to grab Cupbop to go. Overall it was quite disappointing this time. All three of us got the rock bop. Despite there being very clever packaging with which they could easily label what the order was, none of them were. This makes group orders a bit difficult... who likes to have their food opened and inspected to figure out which one is theirs? But let's focus on the food itself: First of all the chicken was dry, hard and tasted old. Really unhappy with the quality, but the larger issue was lack of consistent serving sizes between the three Cupbop. One cup had 4 chicken, one had five, and one had six. Mine was ordered with extra cabbage, but had barely enough cabbage to cover the bottom. If I tell them I'm diabetic and ask for half cabbage, and they don't tell me they can't do that, then I expect 1/2 cabbage and less noodles (it's actually really important for a diabetic). My spouse and I both got level 3 and it was way spicier than the 5 I usually get. Still tasty, however we really need the heat levels to be consistent so we know what to order. The kid got level 1 baby spice and he said it was toooo spicy, I tasted it to check and sure enough it was! Couldn't even eat it. Total waste. He ate the meat off the top, but it was basically a bowl of flavorless noodles. On the service side it was satisfactory. They added a kiosk to order from since the last time we were in. Very convenient, especially for those of us who prefer less human interaction. We ordered and paid right from the kiosk, it was easy and I appreciated being able to see the options laid out clearly. It was high energy and clean. A little loud if you have a sensory issue, but not unbearable. The staff was fast and personable. The workers are nice and quick even when it does get quite busy around the main lunch and dinner times. In addition to this - the drive through is hazardous - I have a small car and could barely navigate the asphalt corridors. The sauce wasn't anything like a Korean dish and they added something like fry sauce to the mix which really turned up the nausea factor. Now I don't expect high quality Korean food from a fast food place - but this dish bore no resemblance in flavor or texture to what it claimed to be. Pretty simple Korean fast food. Good and fairly inexpensive. One of the guys who works for me was in from out of town, and we talked about trying something new, which brought us to Cupbob. The guys working there were nice, quick to greet us, and let us know how it worked; then we got to business. I got the B-bop (beef) bowl and after trying sauces, went with the hottest they have which is the 10/10 (I love spicy food). They were nice enough to give us an order of potstickers for free since it was our first time. The spice was really good and about perfect for me, but isn't as hot as you think for 10/10 at a Korean spot. The meats on both of our bowls were a little too greasy for my liking as they'd be sitting in a pretty oily base, but we're still good. As their regular dishing is to give rice and noodles, I had both, and it was actually the only thing I really didn't enjoy. The noodles were sweet and although they had good flavor, the flavor clashed with the beef and sauce and was a whole other flavor that didn't mix in well with the rice flavor. Would definitely be better with just rice, and will do that if I go again, or get just noodles and a sauce that pairs with it. Potstickers we're pretty standard, but good. Overall, good food, fair price, but normal dishing setup could be tweaked. Nothing stood out, but I'd go again if someone wanted fast Asian food outside of panda. read more

But this location constantly gets the order wrong. Either the wrong meat is on there or wrong sauce. And every single time we ask for extra meat, they never ever put it on. They charge us for us, but it's not different in portion size. They are also always out of the crispy sweet chicken (rock pop I think?) we've gone multiple times from 12pm to 8pm and they are always out of it. And the kko kko sticks.
