Ive been coming here for years, literally since it opened, and the quality of the coffee products used at Cuppa Austin is superior to most places. Therefore, you pay a little more to get a lot more. Its always busy, but the service is always excellent. If it was quiet and dead all the time, that wouldn't be a good sign now would it?! Tried this place out this morning. Was not a fan of the customer service or lack thereof. The girl taking my order barely said two words to me, very on par with what you would expect from McDonald's. Once I pulled up to the window I sat there for a second before realizing they expected me to just put my card into the machine without any sort of direction to do so. Once you make your payment, they open the window for 2 seconds to hand you your order without so much as a thank you or have a good day or literally anything. I had a few minutes between meetings and thought I would check out a different place than usual for coffee. I walked in and was greeted by the barista, who was extremely nice and pleasant. The interior was calm during the afternoon. I ordered my typical Americano, iced. The majority of their drinks are the sweet ones They served it quickly almost immediately after I order it. Sadly the Americano tasted poor. It was about the color of tea, maybe it was just a single shot in the regular size, but it didn't even seem like that. Their frozen hot chocolate really is something special. I had one on Saturday and couldn't stop thinking about it, so we ended up in the drive-thru on Sunday. It tastes like a milkshake and I like that it's not coffee based. It's just a nice, little sweet treat. Unfortunately, I missed their special card the first time around but Michelle offered it to us that second trip. I love it when places offer frequent diner cards. I don't love it when they don't make it obvious from the get go. It's great that they have a drive-thru but if you're not paying attention, you'll miss the small opening and have to circle back around the building. Also, if you are coming from the other side of Parmer, the light that you have to U-turn at is only three cars long so, "Look alive, people!" Nestled near the heart of Round Rock, I was on my way to visiting some of my best friends and came across this local gem of a shop right off the highway. Cuppa Austin provides great service and I tried a Butter Coffee which was pretty good. Brandon hooked me up and made my experience memorable. One thing I like about Austin is the selection of different coffee shops. This place has a really interesting design going on inside and isn't a bad place to get comfortable or to do some studying. There is a pretty good selection of food to eat, some of it looked familiar as if I've seen it at another coffee shop, perhaps the same baker. In any case I went with the banana nut muffin which was excellent. The iced coffee I had was cold brewed and definitely had a nice taste to it without having to add any sugar to it. Super friendly staff and very tasty beverages! As someone who is milk intolerant it is really nice to find a place that offers almond milk as an alternate option and not just soy! The ambience is very homie and as well, but if you're on the go they do offer a drive thru. I highly recommend the Red Velvet Latte (which you can have made with almond milk)! read more

Excellent place for a cuppa coffee! The atmosphere is pretty chill and the service is friendly. I only been here once but I think this would be a good place to hang out, read, or study. There is a decent amount of seating and plenty of natural light to fill the room. Tables were clean when we got there too. The coffee here is good and you can even have it served in a ceramic mug if you aren't taking it to go (earth friendly). There is just something nice about drinking something warm in a ceramic mug. I also tried the green tea latte as well but I wasn't a big fan of it because it still had bits of matcha green tea undissolved (which made it more bitter every other sip), but it was still ok. If I was around the area and wanted a cuppa coffee, I would stop by again! I would stick with their coffee selection though. read more

I love this coffee shop! I used to live closer and come here more often, so now everytime I'm nearby I treat myself to a delicious drink. I've never actually tried the food here, but supposedly it's pretty good too. The drink selection is great! I'm a big mocha person myself, so my usual is a hot mocha. But they have a lot of cold drinks to choose from. I'm sipping on a nice cold banana mocha as I write this. It's a little sweet, but that's to be expected with this kind of drink. I would like to try their fruit smoothies and bubble tea sometime as well! The staff here is always nice and helpful if you have questions about the menu. I've been coming to Cuppa Austin since about January, I moved from DT Austin to up North/Parmer & have had pretty okay experiences here so far... lately I started to notice that my regular order was always a different price. Yesterday was the most I've ever paid for my drink and it tasted like watery coffee with way too much syrup. I usually order an iced or blended coconut milk latte with coconut syrup & an extra shot. Blended, it tastes fine, and usually cost me around $6 and some change, sometimes even $5 and some change! To my surprise, yesterday my iced coconut milk latte with coconut syrup & an extra shot cost almost $8!!! It's a small! And for it be as watery and syrupy as it was, was ridiculous! I come almost every other day to get a drink and couldn't believe that it was that bad. Before then, I asked the girl at the window if getting a blended drink vs. iced cost more than the other, she said no and I continued to tell her that I had never paid that much for a coffee there before. She explained that the other baristas probably charged me wrong and that she was sure she did so correctly... she apologized and said she'd talk to her coworkers. Great! Then I drove off and tasted my drink that I had paid $8 for... it was terrible. I'm so shocked at how bad and how expensive it was. The inconsistency here is really getting the best of me and I've tolerated it for a while. Coming back it hasn't gotten any better and I'll have to find another coffee spot. I have come in three times now and have had the Aztec mocha each time and it was soo good. Moreover, the staff is so incredibly friendly that I really enjoy coming here. The drive-thru option is so awesome because I have a toddler and an infant and getting in and out of the car can be a production. I really like that they are open until 11. The chai lattes are also good, but the tapioca pearls in the bubble tea were awful. Wouldn't recommend that option here at all. The lighting is also quite dim, and the air conditioner is on full blast - I was freezing cold. There are games to play, which is nice, and it was never too crowded. There's also a drive through option, which is a little hard to find but it's nice once you get there. The main reason I went there several times was because I didn't have wifi for a few weeks and it was open until 11 every day. Since I've gotten wifi, I haven't gone back but it's a nice place to get some work done if you bring a sweater or are used to the cold. read more

A 3.5/5 would be a more precise rate I had for this coffee shop. Overall, it was a nice coffee shop. For my experience, I ordered the cupper mocha frappe, one of the most recommended drinks from other Yelpers. I'm a coffee drinker, and I always want a strong coffee flavor from my drink even if its in the frappe form. I did ordered an extra shot of expresso on top of the expresso portion they have in the original recipe to make sure my drink has stronger flavor. The drink I received, however, was very sweet to my preference. I thought it might because of the white chocolate syrup, so I ordered another dark chocolate mocha frap with an extra expresso and mentioned with the bartender that I preferred my drink to be less sweet. Yet, the second drink was very sweet as well. So jf you enjoy sweet frappies, this coffee shop is definitely for you; but if you don't like your drink to be too sweet, I would say ask the bartender to adjust the recipe (put less syrup, more more more expresso, no extra sugar). The frappes have overall well blended tho. I also recommended this place for working/studying as well, but make sure you check the internet quality before setting up your work station. Not the greatest. We are visiting from SFL. We have had nothing but great experience here in Austin. We come every year, we assumed we would have the same experience at Cuppa Austin. We walked into get to music playing, and baristas that seemed annoyed to be working. The bathrooms are dirty, the men was broken with f and the hallway to the bathrooms are cluttered with inventory.
