This place has been on my list since the photos of the interior are cute and the story of how the bakery was founded (by a local nurse burnt out over COVID times) was inspiring. As soon as you walk in you are transported into a fairy forest atmosphere. Tried a raspberry pistachio and a tres leches cupcake along with a matcha strawberry and grapefruit ade. Raspberry pistachio was good, the frosting was a lighter, fluffier texture and you could taste the pistachio. Tres leches cupcake was a bit interesting in texture and less of my taste preference. Matcha strawberry was soo sweet, it was more of a strawberry jam at the bottom while the grapefruit ade was refreshing and good. Pricing was a bit high and it's served on paper plates that you get at Costco, so that somewhat ruined the ambiance/overall experience. Lots of people came in and out for to go orders so maybe it was the wrong order. read more

After a hard workout at the gym, I needed (wanted...same difference) a little treat. I have been craving a chocolate chip cookie, so I thought I would give Whipped Bakery & Cafe a whirl. Also, I am on the lookout for a pecan pie for Thanksgiving dinner. The bakery is totally Zen with white walls, pastels colors and cherry blossom trees throughout the bakery. These are not live trees, but nonetheless attractive with a warm and welcoming feel. This was my first Whipped Bakery and Cafe experience. The bakery is located on Anderson Mill in a strip center. The bakery sells sweets and coffee. They have an assortment of macaroons, cookies, cupcakes, cakes and pies. I chose the chocolate chip pecan cookie. It was dense and loaded with pecans. I only eat cookies if they have nuts. This cookie was not what I was expecting, but it grew on me as I continue to eat it. Overall, their prices are a bit high. Their pecan pie was selling at $40.00. My server was friendly and welcoming. Looking around the bakery, most folks appear to be regulars. I will have to come back and try coffee and another treat. read more

I dont even love cupcakes but my friend had a few at her house that were in her fridge for a few days already and it was shockingly delicious so I knew I had to go check out the fresh ones-- amazing! They've converted me to a cupcake fanatic. Must go if you're anywhere near it, esp if u like cupcakes! Tons of easy parking and a steady flow of ppl coming in and out so it hasn't taken that long to get a fix. Also tried the scone was ok but their other items weren't that remarkable. Stick with the cupcakes and u can't go wrong. Blueberry yogurt is my forever go to. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. Somebody ship me some, please! read more

Had to wait a long time for service. Ended up not buying anything bc they only have whipped cream & cream cheese frosting. Not my fav for $5.50/cupcake. The place is quite lovely to look at & their baked goods look beautiful. I'm a hard core buttercream frosting person, so this doesn't work for my taste. I've been here twice, which to me is a testament of approval haha! The cupcakes are divine! No heavy cream cheese on top, just light, slightly sweet cream. The lavender lemon one is a "must try" but I honestly have not tasted one that wasn't superb. Beware however that some of the cupcakes have a filling and it's very sweet, just ask before ordering. The service is pleasant, polite. The place is neat, somewhat spacious and relatively quiet, definitely a good one for hanging out with a friend and having a chat while enjoying a treat. Absolutely cute cafe + bakery who has been in the greater Austin area with their lovely Leander location, and now has a beautiful cute aesthetic in the Austin area, northwest specifically! I absolutely adore their fatcarons, and the quality of sweets, low fat, low sugar, clean and delicious pastries and baked goods. Paired with a good latte and their delicious drinks on menu, we absolutely love Whipped being a local bakery spot, and even love that it's 5 mins from our house in Austin proper now! Service was swift and we enjoyed the staff never pressuring us as we made the hard decision of determining what we wanted to order without going too crazy, the fatcarons are gorgeous and so lovely decorated, and the cookies and scones were heated up so we could eat them in cafe and enjoy being transported to a lovely escape :) Can't wait to come back, and they have good WiFi, food and drinks! read more

I've passed this bakery so many times on the way to visit my parents and finally got to stop by on a Friday afternoon. They have the cutest sitting area inside, not too much or gaudy, but a nice cute relaxed feel. At first glance, the pastries and desserts are all so unique and look incredible. We had the tiramisu cupcake (incredible), chocolate cupcake (amazing), egg tart (my husband's favorite), and the earl grey crème brûlée (just ok, the texture wasn't quite silky enough). I definitely would like to come again to try some others, but for environmental reasons, I hate the huge hard plastic cupcake containers and would prefer an option to just get the treats in a paper box instead. read more

I ordered a cake from Whipped for my nephew's 16th birthday. It was a 6" Black Forest cake. You can see the cake in the picture. The whipped cream frosting got stuck to the plastic covering and was stripped off while removing the protective cover which was a bit disappointing. However, the taste of the cake made up for it. Best cupcake bakery in Austin and I've been visiting new ones every weekend for the past 2 years whilst getting acquainted with the city. Their cupcakes are perfectly moist and have the lightest texture. So much better than Sprinkles or Haley's. It's just a different approach - fluffy, moist, fresh - not dense and heavy like the typical buttercreamed boutique bakery cupcake situation. If my waistline could handle it, I think I would visit every day. Yesterday was snickerdoodle day for me. I had a snickerdoodle latte paired with a snickerdoodle cupcake. Heaven. I'm also a big fan of the bacon/jalepeno scone. The flavor is perfect with a slight crunch to the craggy crust. I'm reticent to share this here, because I never want them to sell out when I need my fix. Also, I am addicted to the blueberry yogurt cupcake. It has a true yogurty tang to the icing which perfectly balances out the blueberry cake and jammy middle. If they sold kouign amanns and soup, I would never visit other local bakeries. What a find!! This came up on Yelp when I was looking for something for a sweet tooth craving. This place was incredible. The frosted glass windows made it look like maybe they were renovating, but as soon as you come in you see why. It is the cutest decor inside. It makes you feel like you are in another place. The staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I split 2 cupcakes and we could have easily split one. The tiramisu was so delicious, I may never get it anywhere else again! And the banana pudding cupcake was excellent. I'm normally not a huge icing fan, but here it went so perfectly with the moist cake. It was out of this world!! And the coffees were delicious as well.
