The portions make sense for the price, the quality is consistent, and you don't leave feeling ripped off. I also really appreciate that they package their to-go food cleanly and securely. Nothing spills, nothing's sloppy. Location: It's in a super convenient spot. I can call the order in from work, they tell me it'll be ready in 15 minutes, and we pick it up on the way home. Easy, no stress, and it still feels like a treat at the end of the day. Tips: The combos are the way to go if you want a ton of food and some variation. It's the easiest way to try a little of everything without spending a fortune. Don't forget the coleslaw and sides! Think ahead about buns and sides if you're planning to stretch it into multiple meals. We keep fresh buns at home and toast them for each round, then reheat the pulled pork and pile it on with coleslaw - so good and enough food to last us a few days. To pair, throw together quick nachos (tortilla chips, shredded cheese, sliced black olives) in the microwave for 60 seconds - pair with sour cream and salsas you like! At home, if you're heating the potatoes, add a little butter on top before warming them up. It keeps everything moist and brings the flavor back to life. PSA: I love that it's an older Bend staple. Baldy's hasn't changed in the 26 years I've been going, and I had no clue it opened in 2005 as well (according to Bend Source)! It feels good supporting a place that's been around for that long, especially with the cost and quality control that comes with good meat. Genuinely, it's the only barbecue spot in Bend that's never let me down (or given tummy-trouble's) - so yeah, let's support the locals that keep showing up.

Bend Brewing is dog and family friendly, and when we stopped by, there was even a baby shower being hosted outside! You can tell that this brewery is frequented and well loved by locals. The beer and food didn't blow me away; however, I'd come back just for the environment. High energy, good for entertainment, and a cool spot to socialize over a quick drink. By the time we were heading out, the bike rack was completely full, which says a lot in Bend!

The pretzel was soft with a nice chewy texture, and the nachos were loaded with toppings. I'd definitely order both again.

I consider Kobold beer to be middle of the (local) pack in terms of quaffability, so the new selection is a bit of a downgrade. Other changes include making the space darker and less sterile (more like a lair, I guess). New decorations are up and the electronic beer board is gone. They now offer a small sandwich menu. White Water sometimes hosted a popup poke-sushi operation. Not sure if that will happen at The Lair. Overall, A-OK but I will miss White Water.

A true family run business that supports our local kids!! Their heart is felt through the food they make. Delicious! Is an understatement. The Brisket is tender and lean, chopped for the popular brisket grilled cheese, may be sliced if you prefer it that way. Have a special request? Ask! The barbecue sauce is so good you may want a quart to keep in your fridge! Want it a little spicier? Try the chipotle bbq sauce! Have a sensitivity to dairy? Gluten? Try a plate of homemade potato salad, bbq beans, smoked brisket chicken or pork! Catering is available and food is hot and fresh. Their service is kind, quick and heartfelt requests are a priority. CURBBQ is hands down one of the best food trucks around! I tried their brisket grilled cheese sandwich, and it was absolutely incredible. The brisket is perfectly smoked--tender, juicy, and full of flavor--and it pairs perfectly with the melty cheese and the tangy BBQ sauce. Every bite was smoky, cheesy, and downright mouthwatering. I had a couple of Sliders. One was Pulled Pork BBQ Slider, and the other was the West Coast Ruben Slider. Both Sliders were packed with their respectable meats. Lots of BBQ sauce on the Pulled Pork. Nice, soft and chewy Pork. I'm more of a Corn Beef guy for Ruben's but the Pastrami , Sauerkraut, And Swiss cheese were outstanding . I'll just have to get a couple of Ruben Sliders next time I pay a visit to the "Grill" which will be in the near future.
