WOW!!! Just seriously BLOWN away!!! (and not in a good way) after about using Michelle for over a year, I had to cancel one of my dog's grooming appts in Nov. due to a skin testing they did on her. We were expecting her to come to the Dec. appt. and she no showed. when I e-mailed her she said she didn't know what happened and that when we canceled Nov. it probably canceled Dec. (Doesn't make much sense to me, but whatever) It was a week before Christmas and we needed my dog groomed, Michelle said she was fully booked so we had no choice but to go else where. Now it's Jan. I e-mailed Michelle to see if I could get my dog an appt in the next few weeks and then get her yearly schedule after that -- JUST got an e-mail back from her saying exactly this: "no hard feelings but I think we will pass this time" ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? You're gonna pass up on clients you had been working w/for a year because YOUR "system" had a glitch? WOW!! Mind you Michelle isn't cheap!! That's fine, no more raving about "Curbside Cuts" guess when you get your name out there you think you're too good and don't need customers. GOOD LUCK running a business like that! read more

Okay, I'm disappointed. The last time I tried to schedule and appointment, they never called me back after I told them the time they arranged would not work for me. I've been a customer a couple of times, so this surprised me. Also, the last time they were here, the husband kinda acted like a jerk to the grounds keeper when he told them they could not let their pit bull (a massive, giant dog) out without a leash in our mobile home park. No one in the park is allowed to own a pit bull and he was just telling him the rules. He got kinda rude with him. I've gone back to my previous groomer. Sorry.... read more

I was tired of my dogs being emotionally shattered after returning from brick and mortar groomers. In order to make a profit they need to do appointments quickly and handle as many dogs as they have crates. My 14 year old JRT is too old to handle the stress of the regular groomers for the hours they require for him to wait for a bath and clip. So when I heard about Michelle's mobile dog grooming I made an appointment. My dogs were scheduled for a full groom today (11/28/2008) and it took only an hour and a half. Michelle is a truly gentle person and really loves the dogs that she handles. My JRT was delivered to my front door smelling sweet and free of cuts and scratches. Instead of freaking out the rest of the day he snuggled up with me on the couch and fell asleep. My greyhound can handle pretty much anything (except for water and soap) and it appears that he enjoyed his bath and nail trimming. Wow, do these folks love dogs. My 2 are Dane mixes and are a pain to groom but Michelle and Victor turned them into little lambs and left them looking fantastic. They even called back at the end of the day to check up on them. I will definitely use this conscious and caring service again! Michelle is the best of the best! I am already booked for regular appointments. She was wonderful with my little girl and very thorough. My poor baby has been through the ringer on grooming over the last year and finally we've found a great groomer and she comes to my home!! Yes, I paid a little more than I've paid at other places in the area...but, it is well worth it! Lower prices may be tempting, but it isn't worth it. Unfortunately, in the past year, I've resorted to taking my little girl to places that are too hot, overcrowded with dogs and people, and too noisy [which just stresses anybody]...all in an attempt to find a local groomer. I won't trust anyone else with her again. Margot looks beautiful, smells great, and is all tidy...including the sanitary cut! Growing up in Pacifica all I would see is this van driving around with her pink pup. Now that I have pups of my own that needed to be groomed I thought I'd give em a call. They were so nice! My handsome boy looked great. But for the next time she told us it wasn't worth it to her to drive to the house just to do one of our dogs... We live at the top of pacifica skyline area how much gas does that cost you?... And I'm sorry we can only afford one dog at a time my we are on a fixed income. Just rude . I work at a local vet and would tell everyone to give them a call and that has now changed. Sorry folks that just rubbed me the wrong way. read more

I cant believe what just happen. After a year and a half I get a call from Michelle who tells me that my dog is too much trouble for her to groom, obviously I'm not the only person she has done this to but I considered her to be a friendly person...what a witch...first she raises my price to $125 hoping that I stop going to her. Boomer our cocker has a lypoma that has spread to his leg and thigh. He has skin issues but she was great with him. When she pulls up with a pit bull and two dogs barking boomer gets terrified and poops. She as a dog groomer; told me that she cant handle it and refuses to do him. She has that right but my word to Michelle, " I never realized what a bitch you really are". Wow and I thought I was a good JUDGE OF people...Consumers beware if your dog has issues or gets old dont call Curbside Cuts!!! Isn't it funny that most of the 5 star comments are from people in their home town-PACIFICA!!! read more

Absolutely terrible. I scheduled Michelle for a grooming session and confirmed the appointment Numerous times with her AND her husband. Took the day off from work so I can make sure I can accommodate. She showed up 30 minutes before the scheduled time and knocked ( didn't ring - or give a call upon arrival) left her card and went on to another appointment basically canceling me for no reason. When I called her back numerous times to try and understand why she didn't call or ring the bell she emailed me saying she is feels terrible and takes full responsibility for not showing up on time or staying. I took the day off from work. She's horrible. Didn't try to reschedule or offer anything to make up for it. Totally flaky and irresponsible. I'd never trust my dog with someone like that. read more

After going around trying different groomers, I still think Michelle is the best groomer around. Not only do my dogs look great, Michelle goes above and beyond by always being very detailed at places that we don't usually notice right away...(inside ears, paws, etc). Our "boys" have been going to curbside cuts for a number of years. Michelle groomed our older dogs, that are no longer with us, and was extremely gentle even when they had medical issues. It is very convenient to have her show up at our house. Once she's here our dogs treat her like a favorite friend...they just love her. Michelle is always very reliable & professional. I love Michelle and her fancy grooming van! She's always punctual (or calls right away on the rare occasions when her schedule gets backed up). She's really friendly and cheerful. She does a great job grooming my standard poodle, follows directions and makes grooming suggestions and reports back to me on anything she may have noticed during their sessions. She calls with a reminder call the night before. My dog has never ever had any clipper nicks or burns with Michelle and the one time she cut a toenail a bit too short, she let me know about it right away. She's pretty fast at her work, and my dog never has to spend a second waiting around in a cage. And she's very conscious of safety on the grooming table as well. I can't recommend Michelle highly enough. She's worth paying a little bit more: convenience, high standard of service, care, and kindness to my dog. read more

Yuki (woof - Bichon Frise) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Curbside Cuts (Michelle and Victor) grooming service!! I book monthly appointments for Yuki since I know Michelle gets booked up quickly (we've got appointments booked through the rest of this year and I used Michelle all last year, too). When Michelle arrives in her van, she backs up in our driveway and when Yuki hears the back-up signal, he starts barking and runs to the door to greet Michelle and Bella (who I call his girlfriend). He is always so happy to see Michelle (gives her kisses and jumps up on her) and I know it's like a day at the spa for him. Michelle and Victor are so professional and truly care for the safety and comfort of the animals they groom. We have been looking for a good groomer for our pomeranian for years. Finally we have found one! Peanut looks great. He was matted, had weeds stuck in his fur, and looked like he was trying to break one of those longest finger/toenail world records. Confidence was low for this dog. Now he looks like a rockstar. All the female dogs in the neighborhood are chasing him around. Curbside cuts will come to your home. They are very cool people and do a great job. The first time Michelle groomed Tahoe (Pomeranian) I was impressed! I made the mistake of being impatient and having the vets people groom her during a check up visit. Big Mistake! They cut her hoohah! Poor doggie couldn't pee for days. After that, I made sure to always call Michelle. After Michelle does her magic, Tahoe is always clean, smells great and even seems happy when she runs back home to show off her new cut:). She groomed our dogs outside our home in her van. She also dyed her own dogs hair pink. My 7 yr old dog died while being groomed by her. I immediately brought him to the vet. They said his heart was fine. Not sure why he died. I just heard on the news that dying your dogs fur is toxic to the animal. Hmmmm? read more

I saw Michelle's new van in my neighborhood and made an appointment. I will never go back to another groomer again! No more cages and 5 hour waits! She took about an hour per dog and did a fantastic job. Also very important to me, she's a real dog person and very gentle and compassionate with them. Michelle and Victor have been grooming our dogs for almost three years. Michelle even sets our appointments up in advance for the full year. We have ALWAYS found them to be the nicest, friendliest people, and MAJOR dog lovers, of course. Our English Setter is a 70 lb. drama queen, and they handle him with much affection, no matter how much he fusses. Our Golden can be a nervous one; Victor always takes the time to snuggle him and lift him into the van, so that our dog is not stressed in any way. Neighbors stop by the van when our dogs are getting groomed. Bella, the pink poodle is a big hit, Jazzy is a little love, and Blue is the most gentle (and most handsome!) Pit Bull you could ever imagine. We are completely satisfied with their service: they are punctual, friendly, funny, and they take great care of our pups! My dog is a 13lb. Havanese. Ted had been groomed a little over a year, since he was a puppy, by Curbside Cuts. His only groomer ever. As time went on Ted increasingly got more and more terrified of the groomers arrival. He would shake and not want to be handed off, I'd hear yelping in the van and he would shake and cower when brought back to me until Curbside left. Since it was a 5 star rating, I dismissed these signs. It was hugely wrong of me. Three weeks ago out of the blue, I received a phone call from Michelle's husband, Victor, who told me that they no longer could groom my little dog because it took "3 days for Michelle to recover from grooming my dog". He also said that he had to "hold my dog down when he twice accompanied Michelle for Michelle to be able to groom him". When I told him that was impossible because I was the one who always let Michelle into the house. He had never been there except the very first appointment. To that he said, "well let's just talk from this point". Needless to say I am very thankful for the phone call. I don't know what went on inside that van, but Curbside Cuts gave Ted a horrible experience of grooming that would make it so very hard for another groomer to work with him. I take Ted now to Fancy Feet on Harbor Blvd. in San Carlos. Jennifer the owner took on Ted after hearing my story. She said he was so scared to be touched, terrified of a scissor and shook uncontrollably on the grooming table. But Jennifer took the time holding him for a good 20 minutes to bond and show him this would be different. She will work with him slowly, retraining him to the grooming experience. This one a good experience. As a side note, when I picked Ted up from his new groomer he was not shaking while being held by her but giving her kisses. So VERY different from when Michelle with Curbside would finish with him. read more

After nearly 4 years of grooming my dog I have been told to seek another groomer! WOW!!!!! Where did the loyalty go with this company. I have continuously had my dog groomed every 2-3months, per her recommendation, at a rather lofty price and now she asks me to find someone else? To me if business is that good, you either increase your hours or put another truck in line. Turning down work in this economy is ludicrous let alone an established client. Well per Michelles advise I did find another mobile groomer and have saved some $$$$$ at the same time. Thanks for the advise I do appreciate it! Michelle and Victor arrived ON TIME, and sprang out of their immaculate grooming van and greeted our dogs with warmth and kindness. Victor is the go getter and is a pro active husband for his wife, Michelle, the outstanding groomer. We had one dog done one day and then we had our other two dogs dogs done another day. Superb grooming. Not a nick, not a hair out of place and the dogs have not itched, nor scratched since their clip job. The dogs smelled great and did NOT have any clipper smell and felt wonderful after the 1.5 hrs of grooming. I highly recommend Curbside Cuts. It is well worth the extra that they tack on for coming right to your door. What a service! Michelle is very personable and if you want her to retouch up, she is most obliging. We had a Lhasa/Poo, a large Pom, and a Maltese/Poo done and all required expert grooming skills. It was so nice to have that van show up at your door! AND you know where your dog is at all times and not stuck in some rotten cage. You won't have to leave your dogs stuck somewhere for hours. This way the dog is done immediately and comes right back to your home in a very short time. I believe the stress level is reduced so much more when Michelle and Victor do the job. What a difference! Michelle has groomed Isabella and Freddie for two years and she is wonderful. Of course Freddie, being an Italian Greyhound needs only toe trimming, but he is the most whimpering, fussy crybaby in the world and it's a miracle she can cut them. And a miracle he likes to go with her. Isabella, on the other hand, is a Standard Poodle, and this girl needs a heck of a lot of grooming. I had no idea!
