We took our doggie, Ranger to Pacific Pet Grooming a couple of times a few years ago. The last experience was with a groomer who completely shaved him. I'm not sure if it was because we were her last appt on a Friday or something else. After recently looking online and seeing that the groomer doesn't seem to work there anymore, we decided to give Pacific Pet another try. We booked a full grooming with Fernanda. We dropped Ranger off and I let Fernanda know how we wanted his cut to be. She did an amazing job with the groom! The only thing I didn't care for was the cologne spray which was strong and overpowering. I'll be sure to remember to ask them not to spray him next time. Fernanda redeemed Pacific Pet for me. Roberto is an amazing guy. We have been coming to him multiple times since our pup got his vaccinations and he has been an absolute godsend. He treats our pup with so much love. Everything is done in the interest of our pup. At our first session, he told me that he won't push our pup on anything as he wants our pup to learn to be okay with the grooming work and not get traumatized by forcing complex cuts. And he was willing to spend so much time (over 2.5 hours) with our guy just to make sure he was okay every step of the way. He showed us so much videos and pictures after which was great to see how our little one did during the process and he provided us feedback on how our little guy did. To my surprise, our guy was extremely well behaved except for teeth brushing. So I guess all the work we did at home actually worked! He has recommendations on cuts and is not afraid to tell us when something may look funny or out of proportion. For example, one time we just wanted a quick face trim and he mentioned it would look a bit funny with the style we asked for so he recommended a different one. We weren't sure what it would look like so we said ok just go with it. And hey it looked great! He goes way beyond the realm of grooming. When I was heading back after receiving the text saying my pup was ready for pickup, he actually took my guy out for a walk! Like whatt!!! He actually recommended that I tried to groom my pup myself since I have trained my guy to be calm enough since it's a good bonding time. And I already shower/nail trim at home. But in any case, he's always here and if I need any weird off schedule he can help arrange. I don't know who would do this except anyone who truly cares for the dog and their wellbeing. We are new to the area & had called upon another Mobile Bus Groomer. My guy never ever in 16 years had any trouble with our groomer... so I was a little concerned. Very happy with our recent mobile dog washing experience. Roberto texted me on the day of our appointment saying that he had a cancellation and could fit us in earlier. I arrived at the Orange Park location and the truck was parked along the side of the soccer field. Roberto and his team was already ready for us. I dropped off our dog and Roberto told me that I had plenty of time to run errands and he would let me know by text when he was ready. I got back before he texted mostly because I had finished running all my errands, and thankfully our pup was already all done. He smelled and looked soo clean! He even had a Halloween bow on for the holiday month. I really appreciated Roberto's run down on our dogs overall coat health and whether he had any fleas. Overall, pretty happy. Our pup did get some water in his ear during the bath which bothered him for a bit, but after it dried up he's been good as new. He also is shedding much less than before.
