Hot Italian sandwich with chips at Cured. on Columbia.
    Mike H.

My wife and I visited Cured. on Columbia today for lunch and enjoyed the experience. Cured is a coffee and wine cafe that features artisanal sandwiches and salads. Located in downtown Covington, it has an attractive somewhat trendy persona indoors and has a pleasant outdoor patio, as well. Ordering is at the counter and service is friendly and efficient. I had the hot Italian sandwich and my mate had a traditional Reuben. Both were good and were sided by tasty artisanal chips. Prices are somewhat upscale, but quality is good. All in all, Cured. on Columbia is a good spot for lunch or to meet friends when downtown.

Cured. On Columbia has continued to be my favorite local spot for years! The consistency in quality food, coffee and service is unbeatable. Fresh food made in house, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options and creative plates always. The ambiance that has been curated here by the owners and staff is remarkable and I'm so grateful to have this spot in the community. It always feels welcoming and bright.

First time to order the breakfast bowl and it was AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

LOVE THIS PLACE! The pistachio coffee was delicious too but the breakfast bowl is a MUST!!

We chose Cured. On Columbia for our monthly lady dinner and we are super pleased. We had every item on the new small bites menu. The tuna sashimi and the deviled gees were stand outs! The deviled eggs were somehow smoked! and just amazing. The tomato tartine was fresh and delicious. For entrees we had the special of Brie, bacon and fig grilled cheese, Beets on Beets and a smoked salmon board. Everyone raved about their dishes. The Brie grilled cheese was perfectly balanced in sweetness and cheese and salt bacon. Cocktails are outstanding. Excellent acoustics. We could hear the music and also hear our conversation without raising our voices. Just a great selection for our monthly dinner.

The building reminded me more of what I would encounter in northern Sonoma, to the west of Healdsburg, or further south in the Paso Robles region. The tasting room is a decent size, although as I was the only visitor at the time, it seemed quite large. Quite a different experience from trying to enter on a Saturday night of a Jazz'n in the Vines concert. There is a patio terrace next to the building which overlooks the vineyard. Since it was a blazing hot June afternoon, I stayed inside rather than sit on the patio. There were seven wines to taste for a modest $5 fee. Four were from sourced grapes (California), two were American/French hybrids grown on the estate and the final was from a native American cultivar, also grown on the estate. All vintages were between 2005 & 2007, except for the recently released Syrah/Cabernet blend which is a 2009. I liked the Roux Saint Louis (a white wine based on the Blanc du Bois grape) as a nice summer wine. The Rouge Militaire is based on the American Cynthiana/Norton (a native red grape). It's a heavier red wine, and still needs a little time to open up. John Seago, the winemaker is often behind the bar, in the tasting room, but was out working the fields on this trip.

Located in a beautifully repurposed home in downtown Covington, this charming spot exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly shown to our table in one of the restaurant's small but thoughtfully decorated dining rooms. We started with the house-made whipped ricotta at our server's suggestion. Lightly topped with rosemary honey and served with grilled ciabatta, it was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Chicken Molli while I chose the Pork Cheek Marsala. Both dishes were phenomenal. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, so I guess we'll just have to return, which I'm sure won't disappoint my wife in the slightest. When we received the bill we were both surprised because we had expected it to be significantly higher than it was based on the service and quality of the food. The attentive staff, inviting atmosphere, and excellent food all help make this place stand out. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Marcello's has an upscale, yet very comfortable, persona and excellent service that combined for an elegant dining experience. Before dinner cocktails were refreshing and we then enjoyed Caesar salad and tomato basil soup before our main courses of chicken parmigiana and chicken molli, both of which were tasty in a traditional way. A tasty cannoli followed up. My wife enjoyed a Pinot Grigio with dinner, and I a very full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which was the chef's evening's special recommendation. Marcello's has our recommendation for a special night out.

The food was absolutely delicious from beginning to end. We ordered several of restaurants traditional signature dishes. The Lump crabmeat and Brie soup was the best bisque I've had in quite a while. The Softshell crab was massive, filled with Crab and shrimp dressing. It's a little on the pricy side but definitely worth it! It was a fantastic evening with excellent food, wonderful service and great friends. A perfect spot for celebrating birthdays or special occasions!

It was that good. A lot of us started with the Tyler specialty drink and loved it, it tasted like an orange creamsicle and lemonade combined. So refreshing and fun not too sweet. We also ordered the bruschetta, which was super tasty, and everyone was obsessed with the nuts on top. Such a good touch. Several people in our group got steaks, and every single one was cooked perfectly. We tried the scallops with potatoes, absolutely perfect, and the salmon was delicious too. Honestly, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the desserts... WOW. The banana bread pudding was so delicious. We had to try a few of their other desserts as well, and not a single one disappointed, every single one was spectacular. I only got a picture of the banana bread pudding, but trust me, they were all incredible. The chocolate lovers in our group absolutely loved the Chocolate Sheba cake too. Everything was so good. The place itself looks spectacular. From the moment you walk in, the seating area is so cool and inviting, I had to take pictures! They accommodated our large party so well, and the service was completely top-notch from start to finish. Our server was amazing, and we loved every second of the experience. 10/10 would eat again!!
