Love this place! After a golf scramble at nearby Oak Harbor, we decided to stop in for a late lunch. They have a lovely space, indoor and out. For our first visit, we chose seats on their spacious patio, where turtle and bird watching abound. The lunch was fantastic. We tried the Brazilian steak bites, which were fantastic. For our entrees I did the poke bowl and my date tried the brisket Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious! We also tried their cocktails: the pink pony club and the gin cocktail. Both were great! We had such a great time we decided to return less than a week later to try the brunch. The passionfruit jalapeño mimosa is what's up. I also tried the steak bowl which was fantastic and my date did the breakfast tacos that were also great. The portions are generous and appropriately priced. Final thing: the staff are spectacular. I was invited here by a close friend, and I wasn't disappointed. The spicy margarita hit just right, and both the tuna nachos and crab dip were solid choices. We came in on a Saturday around 8. Surprisingly it was fairly empty but clean. The staff were really inviting and friendly. We ordered the crab and spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and although I've heard good things about this place the app was bland and chips were cold. It put us off ordering more food and left. The restaurant inside and outside was clean, the inside is very welcoming. It's not a big place, which I like. It's nice and cozy, really nice place for a date night. I love the decor of the restaurant and they have music playing in the background. There are a few tv's in there also. The hostess sat us quickly, it was a quiet night really. This was a great find for a quick and early dinner. It just so happened that we arrived during happy hour, so we definitely took advantage of that! Our server was really good and helpful the entire time. My drink (Very Mindful, Very Demure) was sooo good and strong too lol! I'll return for that drink alone! We shared several items: Boudin Egg Rolls, Hot Honey Feta, Half Pepperoni Flatbread and Nachos. Everything was pretty good! The Hot Honey Feta was my favorite because it was very unique. This is a nice little spot in Slidell that offers a nice ambiance paired with good food and drinks. My husband and I got eats to share (on two separate visits). Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful. She even recognized us the second time so we requested her to be our server. The brisket sliders were tender and flavorful, great for sharing. The Rockefeller Flatbread was tasty and served hot. We were able to get 1/2 fried shrimp 1/2 fried oysters which was an added bonus. The seafood was a bit on the salty side but freshly prepared. The rip it chicken, which was chicken breast meat cut up, had a little kick to it. A typical chicken and fries dish, but still tasty. We went on a Thursday to get the Prime Rib special. My husband loved it and said it was cooked perfectly. It comes with a salad and a very small baked potato (the only downside). I've haven't had a drink there that I didn't like on either visit. The raspberry mojito was a pleasant surprise though, not to sweet, very refreshing. I'm not big on coconut but would definitely order this again. And last, the wonderful beignets with powder sugar!!! They came out hot with this smooth, delicious white chocolate sauce to drizzle on top. They literally melt in your mouth. A must try!! You won't be disappointed!! Easily one of my top 10 for restaurants. This place was nice, the atmosphere was great and the service was on point we were asked several times if we were good if we needed anything. Let's move onto the food. Most of us ate off of the appetizer menu just because everything sounded great and we couldn't make up our minds. My favorite was the angel on horseback which were oysters stuffed into a shrimp wrapped in bacon and with this sauce on top it was amazing. We had the corn and shrimp fritters, boudin egg rolls, marina meatballs, and the tuna. We have been here a bunch. The drinks are always very good. We went last night and ordered the "new " cheese board and Pot Stickers. We were very disappointed when the cheese board came out with boxed crackers and perfectly cubed cheese. The cheese all tasted the same and was definitely bagged cheese. The grapes were not washed at all. The meat was dried out. I would think for $18.00 it would have been better than that. The pot stickers were okay. They seemed to be frozen and not homemade.
