My best friend and I had a girls' day out here, and while the place itself is gorgeous, it is extremely overpriced. From the moment we sat down, we noticed a lack of transparency in pricing. When asked if we wanted water or sparkling water, we assumed the sparkling water was complimentary--only to find out later that it was an additional $5, with no mention of the charge upfront. We also ordered burger sliders and assumed the toppings (pimento cheese and grilled onions) were included, but they were an extra $2 each. The same thing happened with the Parmesan fries--our waiter asked if we wanted garlic dipping sauce, making it seem like it was included, but again, it was an extra charge that was not disclosed. Additionally, the owners were present but never came by to greet us or check on our experience, which felt unwelcoming. Amazing!! My sweet bestie and I planned to grab lunch on her side of the lake, and the ball was in her court to choose a spot. Her daughter mentioned Odelia, and we decided to give it a try. We were very warmly welcomed upon entry, and the hostess asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but she made us feel right at home regardless. We were shown to our table and given menus. Once seated I had a chance to look around and take in the beautiful space. Wow. Every inch of the restaurant was clearly well thought out. The decor is stunning. Like, seriously stunning. Everywhere you look, you find another detail that catches your eye. The thickly upholstered velvet chairs, the Grecian wallpaper, the gold accents that tie the place together. It all feels very intentional. Now for the food. We decided to split the wedge salad, and I'm so glad we did! The romaine was fresh, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the bleu cheese vinaigrette was probably the best I've ever had. We each ordered the sliders as our mains, and added grilled onions and pimento cheese. They were so good! Both of us are coffee lovers, so we chose to stick around a little longer and have their maple brown sugar lattes. The staff was kind enough to make me a decaf. Ladies and gents, do yourself a favor and order this coffee. Your welcome. And I can't neglect to mention the service. Excellent from beginning to end. As you can see, I LOVED this place. The website said they were open on Mondays 11-3. Last week, I used their reservation system to book a 1:00 for today. I received a text to confirm my reservation. Today when I arrived, the door says they're open on Mondays from 11-3, but therestaurant was closed. An employee eating at a restaurant next door said Odelia now closes on Mondays because they didn't get enough customers on that day. The website and the reservation app needs to be updated. Not sure if I'll be back. We ate at the restaurant next door which was great. Will definitely be back there! read more

I'm from Houston and drove to Louisiana for Labor Day weekend. I heard Odelias was good so drove 45 min from our hotel to mandeville to try out their lunch menu. Got there at 1:45pm and saw that they closed at 2:30pm. We Ordered right away. We ordered the truffle fries and chicken sandwich. The truffle fries came out at 2:07pm, and asked the waiter, is the fries suppose to be burnt? He proceeded to say yeah, they all come out like that. So i decided to take a look on google pics and yelp and to my surprise, other peoples fries looked nicely cooked and not a burnt fry in sight. I decided not to complain because i felt like the waiter just wanted us to get out the door at 2:30 since that's the time they closed. The chicken sandwich was good though so i give it a 2 stars. I wouldn't come back because of the service but i still gave the guy 20% tip because i don't believe any waiters can live off of less. Just wish he would have given us better service and not lie. Beautiful cafe! Aesthetically this place is gorgeous and a nice addition to the Northshore restaurant scene. Its girly, gilded and glamorous! I ordered the hand shaken espresso. The drink was truly artisanal and crafted right in front of me in the same manner a fancy cocktail would. Served in a fancy glass with crafted cold foam, the drink was not only pretty, but delicious. In all, Odelia is an experience. For the size of my tiny drink, how long it took to make and the whopping $8 price, I wouldn't come back for a to go drink or quick bite., I will however be back for a girls lunch, drinks or date night! read more

This place is an absolute hidden gem. My sister lives around this area and has been scoping this place out for a while. It's the closest restaurant I've seen to an upscale French lounge since I lived in France. Every piece of decor was made with great thought. the details from the type of books to the glass coasters for your cocktail. I was extremely impressed. This place has the best photo spots but I highly recommend getting reservations. We made reservations even for lunch. The menu was small, (just like the Parisians) but perfect. They had great daily specials and something for everyone. Their cocktail menu is on another level. I ordered the Odelias G and Tea and was wowed by all the flavors. For food, we ordered the beet salad, a pain au chocolat and the white bean purée (amazing). Everything was incredible. I cannot wait to come back for just cocktails and dinner. Very cool spot tucked into an unexpected location!! Decor is so beautiful, and the current holiday decorations are very elegant too. The food was great, but portions aren't huge so don't come too hungry or expect to share something too. The caramelized onion jam on the grilled cheese was amaaaazing. Drinks were all fantastic too! Our server made all of the drinks herself, so it took a minute since we were in a large party (13 I think) but they all tasted great. This would be a great spot for a smaller breakfast/lunch, or coffee/tea/drinks with a friend. Bonus! There's a bookcase door that leads to the boutique next door. read more

Food was great, drinks were great. However our cocktails didn't seem to barely have any alcohol in them for an almost $20 drink. Sweet tea is $5 and they charge extra if you want garlic aioli with truffle fries. Normally a sauce such as this comes standard with truffle fries. Very overpriced , I had lunch with a friend and her and I shared 2 appetizers and one cocktail a piece and it was almost $100 tab . The ambiance is amazing and the wait staff was lovely , but you'll pay for it :) also we had a 3% admin fee on our check which we had no clue what that was... we were a party of 2 so that was a little odd. read more

First time last night and let me just tell you- it is the most stunning atmosphere to dine in on the Northshore! I literally could not pay full attention to my friends talking at our table because I was so taken aback by the gorgeous details and interior design. It is a feast for your eyes and not a detail left untouched. The Moulin Rouge cocktail was not only perfection in a glass, but also beautifully presented. Chimichurri chicken is the way to go if you're considering one of the 2 chicken entrees. And oh.my.gosh- that chocolate croissant bread pudding was killer! What a lovely place to just grab a drink at the stylish bar or sit down with a small group for a meal. Thank you for opening this place; Mandeville needed this! The atrocity that I experienced at this "nice restaurant" was unheard of. We came for a friends birthday to celebrate, so we brought some dessert for after our meal. Our waitress was very kind and even offered to put the dessert in the fridge until later, but we declined. Two of my friends weren't able to get the meal they wanted because they were out the certain ingredients, so they weren't able to eat. The drinks and food were very expensive for no reason, the portions were insanely small for the price of it. And when we got our checks we realized we all had a $7 charge for a "dessert fee" even though we brought our own dessert and served it ourselves. When we asked about charge, the waitress had to get the manager. He came over (turns out he's the owner) with the BIGGEST attitude for no reason, and we were just wondering what the charge was for. He just about lost it on us saying that every "nice restaurant" around here charges a dessert fee if you bring in your own dessert. We just wanted to know what the dessert charge was for because we were not informed, nor was it on the menu, instead we were treated horribly by this condescending and rude owner. We never said we weren't going to pay, in fact they had already charged our cards Before the matter could have been resolved. Simply, do not go here. Easter tea was a complete fail. For $50/child, $60/adult, for a party of 6 we were given 6 mini quiche, A total of 8 tea sandwiches, a few scones, 2 pieces of deviled egg, two salmon mini toasts, some cookies, mini brownies and a few carrot cake mini cupcakes. I thought surely a little more food would come out based on our party size, but sadly, was told that there was no extra to be had, "only enough" had been prepared. (?) There was nothing mentioned about not having actual food options on the resy. This was our first time trying the restaurant. $150 later for two with 6-7 bites of food...we left starving and won't be back. read more

While the ambiance was fine and the service was good, the food was not. The grilled pork chop was tough and hard to cut much less eat. The garlic mashed potatoes and grilled Brussels sprouts were OK. But, definitely not worth $38. Also, one glass of unsweetened iced tea was $7.00. My dining partner had the chicken dish and a glass of water. With tax and tip our meal was a little over $100. We could have had lunch at Commanders Palace for that amount. (That's what it cost us last time we had lunch at Commanders and that included a shared appetizer, one entree meal each and dessert.)
