Curio, Craft & Conjure is a Black-owned mother and daughter boutique located in NoDa. They offer various African American, Indigenous product's as well as Christian iconography. I enjoy visiting this shop to explore the variety of candles, stones, smudging, incense, books, crystals, and so much more. They provide spiritual readings, classes and consultations. The owner was super nice to give me a tour and walk me through the boutique explaining the different types of products and their functions. Drove 20 mins to reach this establishment, arrived around 12:30. No parking available around store so I parked in the back street and walked over. When I reached the store, it was upstairs in an in air conditioned building. When I got to the top of the landing the store was closed. Waste of time, gas and energy. read more

This is a beautiful shop full of offerings for all manner of magical practice. The mother-daughter owners Gina and Gianna are both insanely knowledgeable and have an inclusive, open and intuitive approach to spirituality. You can find all the tools you need for whatever/however you practice, as well as various spells and kits they've put together. I also highly recommend the classes, both in person and online, not to mention the limpieza sessions with Gianna and readings by Gina. Visited a few weeks back. Heads up, there are stairs. I like the feel of the shop. I'm still new to paganism so it was nice to find a shop while visiting Charlotte. My friend who isn't into it was intrigued but didn't buy anything. I think the prices for the crystals were good but they don't have the largest selection. They do have alot of the commonly used ones. Books, decor, incensed, etc that are used can be found here. We were greeted but I didn't need much assistance but I was listening to the workers convo and wrote down some of the books that was mentioned. I did enjoy my experience in this store, the only thing that bothered me was when I had asked her about witchcraft and spells and such as I am a baby witch, she pointed me towards a hoodoo spellbook. For those who don't know like I didn't at the time, hoodoo is a closed practice. I am not of any African descent or do not know anyone who practices hoodoo.
