I experienced redness, pulling, headaches, and migraines from how tight the extensions felt. I reached out multiple times trying to resolve things calmly and professionally. I even offered to return the hair, but instead of working toward a reasonable solution or partial refund, I was advised to file a dispute through Klarna. After continuing to try communicating, I was eventually blocked. I understand extension installs are expensive and results can vary, but I believe professionalism and customer service matter just as much as the install itself. I would strongly encourage future clients to discuss refund policies in writing beforehand and pay close attention to how their scalp feels after installation. My hair is hard to get right because I have silky fine hair with a big of wave in it, plus several cowlicks with a mind of their own. The artist had recommended Ann specifically, so I made an appointment for a haircut and to discuss adding a bright color to add depth and fun. I'm so glad I went! She gave me an excellent razor cut with layers, more or less a soft shag, that two months later is still working for me! I am thrilled to find a stylist who can do that on the first cut: that requires not just talent but also skill. Plus Ann is nice, I was very comfortable talking with her, and look forward to going back soon for a trim and to add some bright tropical color to make it more fun! The salon is nice, with amenities that make customers feel very at home. After introducing herself, Ann took me to the coffee and tea bar where they had quite a few selections so surely something to please most any customer. Well done, Black Amethyst! This review reflects the quality of service I received from her specifically. Due to what I believe was a lack of appropriate training and oversight, my hair was severely overprocessed during a gray blending session. The bleach was left on my hair for over an hour--possibly up to an hour and a half or longer--which resulted in extensive breakage and damage all the way to the roots. The entire front section of my hair has either broken off or fallen out completely, leaving me with very little hair in that area. Every strand that was treated is compromised. I am devastated by the outcome. There is no simple fix for the damage that was done. If you were to draw a line from above my right ear across the top of my head to my left ear, nearly all the hair in front of that line is either missing, falling out, or reduced to short, broken strands. It will take years for that hair to fully grow back. All I wanted was to embrace my gray, and now I'm left with devastating results instead.
