Wow - what a great experience! I scheduled my first free visit yesterday and participated in an aerial meditation session. On your first visit you arrive 15 minutes early and they show you around the studio and get you set-up prior to the start of the session. The staff is so welcoming and genuinely happy to have you there. The aerial hammocks are like cocoons that keep you snug during the entire 45 minutes. Our guide was fantastic and I certainly felt like I was only there for 10 minutes...I was so relaxed and in the zone that 45 minutes flew by. I'm always looking for new ways to relax so I was happy to try a free first class at Current Meditation. I went on a weekday, right after work so I was highly ready for some relaxation. My class was a aerial class, which means you lay in a hammock like silk. The slight movement of the hammock made feel a little motion sick at first, but I got used to it! I'll preface this review by saying the classes are lovely and relaxing. You truly feel at ease, relaxed and calm. I joined the membership with the hope of being a long time customer. I'm intending to fulfill my two month commitment and cancel. While I love the classes it's the company policies that are turning me away. It doesn't line up with my personal values. I witnessed a young man being turned away because he arrived a few minutes past their ideal 20 minute orientation time. I felt so bad for Most of the orientation is a membership sales pitch with a brief description about how the meditation class works. To cover the orientation realistically takes 2-3 minutes. I understand boundaries and feel that a class in session should never be disturbed but turning people away who are there to heal, self care and relax is without compassion and far too business focused without considering the needs of the customers. I think the overall vibe of the place feels corporate. A few modifications and I feel this place would be a very great experience for most. Perhaps it's a newer operation and they have a few kinks to sort out. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! When I arrived at current meditation I was greeted by two super nice people, then given a tour of the immaculately clean space. I came to meditation to lower stress from an ear problem, and my teacher Jeanette made me feel super comfortable and relaxed before the class started. What a wonderful experience! I took the free aerial class yesterday with Ericka, and I can't say enough how truly amazing this class was. It was the best start to my birthday! Being suspending in the air inside a silk hammock, almost like a cocoon, made me feel safe and tender as we listened to Ericka walk us through a guided meditation with imagery, music, gongs and crystal bowls. They have a social bar in the lobby with essential oil roller balls and tea bar. What a great find, such a warm and welcoming environment. This is an incredible place. So helpful for clearing the mind and destressing. I started out with a free introductory 25-minute class (could have been 45 minutes, but just dipping my toes). It was a "grounded" class (laying on comfortable mats on the floor with a pillow under my legs and a blanket and additional mat/blanket for my outstretched arms), I then signed up for a "package of 5 classes. Did one 45 minute grounded class and then two 45 minutes long "aerial" classes (suspended in wonderfully comforting silk hammocks) that can remain "stationary" or rocking. Wonderful!!! I have now signed up for an unlimited monthly membership for $89 (but this will increase on June 1st so go down there now for a free class and make up your own mind)! The "front staff" are incredible! I have only worked with three of the guides so far. Penny M, Jeanene F, and Hamid J and they are wonderful. I recently met the owner Ross and was incredibly impressed. It's only been open for 6 months and this is the only one but I hope not for long. read more

I love this studio but am extremely disappointed that members were not notified about their current state whatever that may be. What is happening? Their door says a day, google says permanently closed, and YELP say 6 months? What's the truth???What is happening to our memberships? My fear is being charged for a product I can't use. I am extremely disappointed in your customer service and the way we were turned away for being 3 minutes late for the "orientation class". We made plans for this today and because we were turned away and we declined other things for the morning. I'm so pissed and I will never come again. I was really looking forward to attending and seeing what it was all about; but I'm extremely disappointed that my whole morning was ruined because of your place. It would have been nice if you mentioned to be there promptly before 9:50 that way I would have known. To be there 3 minutes late and get denied is a horrible way to run your establishment and shows really poor communication. I would NOT-RECOMMEND this CURRENT MEDITATION. This was a very interesting experience. First, why would i need to go some where and pay to meditate? But it was interesting and relaxing. The interior of the space is very nice! They spent alot of money and the contractor did a superior job. I am opening a high end mens store and would like to hire the contractor but the person at the front desk had no clue, but i didnt think she would. It felt kind humid in there also, but that may be by design. Parking is pretty brutal also... pour city planning. Not there fault. This must be their only store. If someone has the contractors name that would be great. read more

The entire experience was incredibly welcoming and inviting. I want to go to a meditation studio to relax, to focus, and to do my own thing but with the help of a guide and "atmosphere" that is difficult to provide for myself at home. This was exactly what I wanted. Thank you for the modern decor instead of the statues and shrines and other common "meditation decor" that generally makes me feel like I don't belong in that world. The guide was fantastic - he has one of the best voices for meditation I've ever heard! I also loved the sequence he used: focus on breathing, visualization, harmonics. It felt very clean, real and relate-able, unlike the guided meditation I've experienced in the past where it felt like someone was trying to teach me Sanskrit while I was trying to relax. The hammocks were an interesting touch. I'm not usually a hammock person but, in this experience, it probably helped to relax further by removing the weight and posture and other body idiosyncrasies. It was a little confining feeling for me and I will probably try the ground next time. But it is a great & very cool option to have! read more

I've done a bit of meditation and therefore was looking forward to trying this. Facility is really beautiful. Clean. People very nice. One guy did fall asleep and snored some. :-). My only complaint is that the teacher talked during most the entire class. I'm sure this is personal taste but when I mediate I prefer quiet. It's nice to have a talk at very beginning to get folks going and to wrap things up at end but I think the point of meditation is some good productive quiet time in between.
