You'll find it toward the far end of the plaza (near The Bagel Bin and neighboring shops), with free parking just a short walk away. Inside, the space is modest in size but thoughtfully arranged. Seating feels comfortable without being cramped, and the décor leans simple and clean--warm wood tones, minimal accents, and an overall relaxed vibe that lets the food take center stage. The menu features Indo-Nepalese cuisine, and this is where they really shine. Our group sampled a variety of dishes, each customized to our preferred spice levels--and every one of them was spot on. The Nepal dish of Chicken Momo dumplings completely filled the dish and I was too slow in grabbing an immediate pic but it was shared among 4 of us.The sauces were rich, layered, and full of flavor. I also have to say their Garlic naan bread was one of the most delicious I have tasted in the many versions of naan bread I have eaten. Light, chewy but still tender and full of bits of garlic that almost melted in my mouth, truly tasted freshly made. Portions are generous, and I'll admit I didn't mind having leftovers...especially since mine disappeared later that same day without hesitation. Service was warm and attentive, adding to an already enjoyable experience. They also offer a weekend lunch buffet (Friday through Sunday) at a reasonable price, which is definitely on my list for a return visit. Seemed like a little tomato-y based tho bc had a more lighter tinge than brown? Happy it wasn't spicy as requested. (Phew) I was surprised to find a weird plastic chunk in the daal- glad I didn't choke or ingest it since I felt it in my mouth. (!!!) I really liked this place because it gave a very authentic and homemade ambience. The staff here are incredibly friendly and the food is very cozy and you can tell they make it with lots of time and care. I ordered the mango lassi and the chicken Momos and they were out of this world. The mango lassi wasn't too thick as other places make it. I thought it was a perfect consistency and a perfect amount of sweetness to it. The chicken Momos were something I was looking forward to trying as I have never had them before and I thought that the sauce that came with it was so good! I liked how before they brought my food, they gave me a complementary savory cracker with a spicy and a sweet dip. It was pretty good too! Great Indian/Nepali restaurant with a nice interior. Portions are large!! They've got a customizable spice range. I love spice and got regular spicy and it was a pleasant tingly level. Maybe I'll go higher next time. My partner who can't handle spice got mild and it was fine for him. I got the yellow lentil curry and he got the chicken and lamb kebob. Both were very delicious. Tasty Indian/Nepali cuisine. We visited Curry & Kabob on a Saturday night, and it was mostly empty. The restaurant has medium-toned wood panel walls and cheap tables and chairs with paper placemats and paper napkins. There are various Indian and Nepali themed paintings and photographs hanging on the walls. We split the veggie momo as a starter, and I tried the chyau ko tarkari as a main with garlic naan on the side. The momo was served hot and had a great flavor with a tasty dipping sauce. The chyau ko tarkari was excellent with perfectly cooked potatoes and tasty mushrooms. The garlic naan was not nearly as garlicky as I prefer and was a bit sweeter than I'm used to. Overall, I had a great experience at Curry & Kabob and would highly recommend them for Indian/Nepali food in Columbia. read more

The lady on the phone was kind enough to make sure that she scheduled my order to be ready for when I got to the restaurant so it wasn't sitting out. The lamb curry itself was delicious and tasted great paired with the rice it came with! The garlic naan was great, and I was surprised I got 4 pieces! My usual place back in Georgia only gave me 2, so you definitely get a lot of food for your dollar. We tried Curry & Kabob last week for the first time and enjoyed it so much, we wanted to order it again this week. However, I wish we hadn't. My husband and I placed an online order around 6:40 pm. Everything went through as we were charged and got a confirmation email for our order, and the email said the food would be arriving via delivery around 7:30 pm. A bit after we placed our order, my husband got a call from the restaurant asking to confirm if he had placed an order, which he confirmed he did. They verified it because they said their system was having issues, but said they would work on the order right away. At around 7:50 pm, the food still had not arrived so my husband called to check in on the order. He gave his name, and whoever answered the phone said that the order was out for delivery and should be there soon. But then, 8:30 pm rolls around, and we still hadn't gotten our food. My husband calls the restaurant again and asks about our order. They claim that someone who also had the same name as my husband called to cancel the order 10 minutes after my husband originally spoke on the phone confirming that we had placed the order around 6:50 p.m. We were confused by this because when we called around an hour later, we were told that our food was out for delivery. My husband asked to pick up the food at this point to make sure we could get our order. Once my husband arrived to pick up our order, they had a different story and said this time that someone called to change the order to pick up, which also doesn't make sense as they didn't say they had the food waiting for pick up before either. It was such a mess and their story wasn't straight or adding up given the times that we had called the restaurant. They also just said "sorry" and were a bit dismissive when my husband asked for clarification about what happened. Over 2 hours after we originally ordered, we got the food home, and it was not even good! We will not take our business here again. read more

Always hot. Very friendly. They also offer discounts for orders placed through them directly (not online, you have to call them), which is amazing!!! The only complaint I would have, is that I hope they get spill stoppers for their hot beverage containers as well as drink carriers. Right now, they pack all drinks with tin foil wrapped around them. Sometimes there's a little bit of spillage from being carried in a bag. The food is always really good though, so it's not worth leaving anything less than 5 ! read more

I met my culinary-adventure friend for lunch today at noon. We walked in to a virtually empty restaurant! There was one person eating alone. We chose a table and waited a few minutes, till someone arrived for takeout and rang the bell on the counter. When the staff person came out to bring their food, they immediately came over with menus and poured us water. We decided on our orders fairly soon and did get excellent attention for ordering and service. Very soon after we ordered, they brought a basket with two papadam (crispy lentil bread that's more like a large chip) and one red, one green sauce for dipping. Beware! the green sauce is quite spicy. Our food came out fairly quickly and the hot stuff was hot, the cold salad was cold. Perfect! We shared a veggie appetizer sampler, a cold potato salad called aloo achar, chicken sekuwa and lamb sekuwa which are both marinated bites of meat with cucumber and carrot slices, and "beaten" rice. That's the first time I've ever had that and it was interesting. It's quite dry and crunchy! We both asked for medium spice. I have to say, the chicken was ever so slightly spicier than the lamb, but both were seasoned to perfection and so tender and moist. The chicken had a really interesting bit of relish or garnish that is really hard to describe. We could identify some flavors, but the bits of green pepper (?) was something neither of us could figure out. The server was glad to answer questions, but to be honest, neither of us grasped what those green bits were! LOL My friend had iced tea and I stuck with water, and my check including a nice tip was just under $27. I was pleasantly full of delectable food and took home enough for dinner, so I have to say I was very happy. The parking lot is large but beware of google navigation because it took me to the back door. I suppose one could enter there, but it seemed to be used mostly for their catering vans. I started out with the lightest Papadom I've ever had with two fantastic dips. The daal vegetarian soup was so scrumptious and delicious paired wonderfully with the onion bhaji. We went to lunch buffet on Saturday, which has recently resumed, post pandemic. It's not very expansive but it's more than satisfying. The chicken curry and tikka masala were delicious. Best indian food I've genuinely ever had in my life. Howard County MD is a hot spot for amazing Indian cuisine, but this low key spot is the best. What's spectacular about this spot is the ability to choose your spice levels for your dishes. Beware, the spicy is spicy, even for an above average spicy eater like myself. What are my favorite dishes you ask? Let's get into it. The saag paneer is just beautifully done. The creamy spinach with the perfectly done paneer is just a combination they serve daily in heaven (I think). I could eat this all day. If you're vegan, this will be the one. I like all their dishes spicy, but if you want to balance out the dishes with some other medium/medium plus dishes, I suggest you keep this one spicy. The lamb korma is boooooomb. I could drink that sauce. I'd probably bathe myself in it if I could. Dip your garlic naan in this and you'll feel like an astronaut with the out of this world flavor. Definitely go spicy. read more
