    32. Chicken Tikka Masala

The chicken tikka masala was good and it went amazing with the rice! This place is hella underrated. Would definitely go here again!

Plastic piece inside of daal- I put it on top of the cover after taking it out of my mouth.

Wanted to see how the food is like here. Restaurant was empty except for 2-3 people coming in to pick up their orders for the evening around 7pm on a Saturday so unsure if ppl actually dine in. Poppers (papadum) were stale-had a chewy texture instead of crisp chip like. Like that the naans were thin but also noticed they were also chewy. Daal makhni was good (added more salt). Seemed like a little tomato-y based tho bc had a more lighter tinge than brown? Happy it wasn't spicy as requested. (Phew) I was surprised to find a weird plastic chunk in the daal- glad I didn't choke or ingest it since I felt it in my mouth. (!!!) Didn't realize it seems to automatically come with a plain rice tub. Hmmmm- unsure how I feel overall. Not many options in MD it seems.

I really liked this place because it gave a very authentic and homemade ambience. The staff here are incredibly friendly and the food is very cozy and you can tell they make it with lots of time and care. I ordered the mango lassi and the chicken Momos and they were out of this world. The mango lassi wasn't too thick as other places make it. I thought it was a perfect consistency and a perfect amount of sweetness to it. The chicken Momos were something I was looking forward to trying as I have never had them before and I thought that the sauce that came with it was so good! I liked how before they brought my food, they gave me a complementary savory cracker with a spicy and a sweet dip. It was pretty good too! I look forward to trying some of their curry options next time .

Great Indian/Nepali restaurant with a nice interior. Portions are large!! They've got a customizable spice range. I love spice and got regular spicy and it was a pleasant tingly level. Maybe I'll go higher next time. My partner who can't handle spice got mild and it was fine for him. I got the yellow lentil curry and he got the chicken and lamb kebob. Both were very delicious. Food came out timely and literally sizzling! Good service. We also got naan on the side. It was a bit too buttery for me... I'd ask for no butter next time.

    101. Garlic Naan, 45. Lamb Curry

If you haven't tried this place yet, you definitely need to! I place an order over the phone for the lamb curry and garlic naan. The lady on the phone was kind enough to make sure that she scheduled my order to be ready for when I got to the restaurant so it wasn't sitting out. The lamb curry itself was delicious and tasted great paired with the rice it came with! The garlic naan was great, and I was surprised I got 4 pieces! My usual place back in Georgia only gave me 2, so you definitely get a lot of food for your dollar. I also appreciate how carefully everything was wrapped and packaged so that nothing spilled and everything stayed warm. I cannot recommend this place enough! Will be returning soon.

So delicious! Came here as a last minute find and what a gem. The server was working on his own and super kind and patient with us. It was quiet for a Saturday afternoon but plenty of people come for take out and we had little wait on our food. Chicken Masala - amazing!! So buttery and tastes like such a home dish. Chicken Saag - great spice and all so fresh. Garlic Naan - a must! Definitely looking forward to coming back here.

Nice atmosphere and set up. Plenty parking. Really nice for families and small groups. Portions are large. The food was okay. The DC area has so many options so I guess we spoilt. If this is your first time for Indian food or you in the area, it's worth a try. Service is also good and people are nice.

    Excellent and right on time

The food was nicely, displayed, prepared and hot very hot and delicious. Hot as in heat, not hot as some spicy because we didn't order it that way. this place came highly recommended by another Indian restaurant. So you know it had to be good. We saw only a few items , but costing $20+ per person and we were 4 of us. All the food trays were empty and the food was served cold while it was 12 noon. We checked with the manager about this and asked if they could serve the food hot. We didn't get a very positive response but he kept saying the food is hot. We had started eating and were in dilemma to continue eating or just pay and leave. Finally we were frustrated and decided to leave the place. We asked for the bill, and he charged us for two people originally and charged it to one person. We paid the bill and left the place. I didn't want to post this, that's why it took me about 3-4 weeks. But I still wanted to put it out there so that they can take the customers bit seriously for the food they serve and the money they charge. While they run their business to earn dollars they should think that even the customers that visit them work hard thru the week and just want to spend some good time with their family on a weekend, and they pay from their hard earned money. So it's mutual. Don't take your customers for granted, and serve them whatever in the name of Indian food. This is nowhere Indian both in terms of taste or service. Please change your restaurant name anything but India., because I know you are not an Indian restaurant.
