My favorite appetizers are the Chicken 65 and the Vegetarian Samosas. The Chicken 65 consists of bite-sized pieces of chicken breast that are fried and then tossed in a spicy sauce. It's served with chopped red onion and a cilantro garnish, making it perfect for sharing at the table. The Vegetarian Samosas are deep-fried pastries filled with green peas, potatoes, and Indian spices, with a noticeable curry flavor. They're served with a brown, tamarind-based dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with the filling. One entrée we love sharing is the dosa. A dosa is a lightly fried crepe, and there are about a dozen variations, each with different fillings and spice combinations. The dosas are served with several sides for dipping or eating with pieces of the crepe. The Tandoori Chicken Tikka Kebab is another favorite. The chicken is marinated, baked in a clay oven, and brought out steaming hot on a sizzling platter. In addition to the dishes mentioned, Bawarchi offers many other classic Indian favorites. One word of warning: if you order spicy, they mean it--the heat level can definitely light you up!

The sauce was luscious and velvety, even if it showed up tonight with a mild personality. I kept waiting for the heat to clock in for its shift, but apparently it had PTO approved. Still delicious though. The vegetable samosas were crispy on the outside with that delicate, comforting filling inside. No notes. Just solid. And the garlic naan? Dangerous. I told myself "just one more bite" at least seven times. It's garlicky, soft, and basically a carb trap I willingly fall into every visit. Now... the service. Let's just say if attentiveness were a spice, it was left in the kitchen. Our waitress vanished for extended periods like she was filming a documentary about the back of the restaurant. No check-in, no "how is everything," no interest in whether we were thrilled or quietly combusting. It felt less like dining and more like self-guided Indian cuisine. Food: still outstanding. Service: spiritually elsewhere. Four stars because the kitchen deserves it. The front of house might need a little masala of its own.

It was INCREDIBLE! It's a fermented rice batter pancake (almost a crispy crepe texture) surrounding a potato filling with an array of sauces on the side. All of the dipping sauces were incredible. Absolute must try. I believe it can be hard to find traditional southern Indian cuisine, but I'll be back. We ordered some tandoori chicken, which was so moist and delicious. I had an order of the dal sag, which was great, too. We left with plenty of food to take home for leftovers. We also had the onion stuffed kafta, which was indulgent and delicious. The staff was so kind to even treat us to a gulab jamun at the end. My favorite :). I'll be back here again for sure. Absolutely worth the trip out to Hoover.

And the restaurant was spacious and clean. (I love when I can eat without breathing down my neighbors plate) We went in for the wings, fries, and pizza but last minute decided to try the Chicken 65, Southern Curry, and Tandoori Pizza. The Chicken 65 was good but I feel like the wings would've been better. Now the southern curry didn't disappoint. And having shrimp as my protein was the perfect match. It does have some kick to it, so keep that in mind. The Tandoori Pizza was also a star. You're not going to get anything like this anywhere else. Crispy crust and a hearty amount of toppings. This pizza has jalapeño slices so order a drink to cool your mouth. lol I will say it was a pleasant surprise to see teas/juices instead of soda machines. We will be back! They have daily specials so that's a great way to try out their menu. And for the night owls, they special pricing for a few things after 8!

I did not get a picture of my butter chicken and rice but just know it was devoured! The inside was so nice and clean also bright! The service was great as well. My favorite thing about tikka shack is that they have a self serve kiosk where you can take your time looking through the order and ring yourself up without holding up or talking to anyone if you are on the shy side!

Open in East Rome since fall 2024, we ordered from the take-home paper menu because it describes each course in detail. We had: Butter chicken. We started here based on local social media recommendations. This isn't something Paula Deen would whip up with her traditional "stick of butter." States the menu: "Chicken cooked with herbs and spices in a butter sauce." It looks something you'd put on spaghetti rather than the generous bowl of rice. Our take: It will be our go-to at this spot; good and filling. Chicken kurma (chicken, spices, coconut and herbs) was our friend's main course. Again, with a mound of rice. He shared it and all items that evening. Our take: Also good with more zip than the butter chicken. Mix vegetable korma (a floured gravy made with parboiled vegetables). This was our side if you will (no fries). A tangy broth that was very tasty, especially when dipping the naan we ordered. The meal is served at your table but a note that indoor seating is tight. The utensils and napkins are self-serve and you're asked to clear your place when done. There's covered outdoor seating with wind guards. And we were surprised by the steady flow of carry-out customers. Entrees mostly are from $10 to $20 with many in the $13 range. Appetizers and desserts vary. Cards accepted.

The customer service was very slow. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived but the person at the front desk completely ignored us for about 5 minutes slowly walking back and forth to the kitchen and then placing mango lassi in the fridge. Finally she came to greet us (she seemed a bit bothered and wasn't the friendliest person), bring waters and take our order. We ordered papadam (we thought it will be brought out first as an appetizer as usually) few dishes to share and drinks. We had to wait long time (at least 15-20 minutes), then I asked if it's possible to get our drinks before the food comes, as it seemed like they forgot about them (it's just a glass of wine!) Finally the food came almost at the same time with drinks, and then we got papadam later. Papadam comes plain - no sauces on the side, as in most other Indian restaurants. Just a note, to take that in mind. Maybe have to order separate. But... Food was very flavourful! We did not like the chicken kebab - it was just looking odd and tasted weird. We were also told it's all white meat but it was definitely a mix. We asked about it, but the employee just shrugged her shoulders and said should be white meat and left. She was very much in "uninterested, I don't care" mood. We thought she went to kitchen to ask and will come back but she didn't. Chana Masala was WAY too salty but flavourful. Butter Chicken was the only dish I really liked. It was very flavourful and I liked the cinnamon touch in it (also Chana Masala had that nice cinnamon touch, if it wasn't for that salt!). So Butter Chicken was amazing, I would highly recommend it. Also, beware there is no air conditioning in this restaurant. It was 93F outside so we definitely wished for some air conditioner.

We were greeted upon arrival, but then you use the self service machine to order. You can tap, swipe or even opt for cash. While our food was being made, we browsed the grocery store and saw some super cool items. The cashier came over and let us know our food was ready so we will browse the other three items on our next visit. Everything was hot and fresh. I started with the Desi Manchow soup and the flavors jumped out of the bowl. It was light but full of spices. The veggie samosas were flavorful and the sauce tasted homemade. The cashier recommended Gobi 65 Biryani and I'm so glad I listened to the recommendation. The Gobi was fried to perfection. The serving size was enough for the family! Eating it with the fresh red onion-try it-it literally changed the entire dish! Being able to have an authentic experience is top notch. We also had the onion and chili naan which paired perfectly with the biryani. We finished with chai-and you could taste every spice. I literally have no complaints. The space is clean, 97 rating from the health department. I'm already coming back tomorrow!

I had the chicken curry meal and some samosas. Did you truly get Indian food if you didn't eat some samosas? The two guys working behind the counter were extremely friendly and very accommodating. I have a lactose intolerance and they helped guide me to some options on the menu. The chicken curry was delicious. The chicken was very tender, the sauce was extremely flavorful, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The naan was good. It was a little bit chewy for my liking, but it was still really good. I enjoyed the samosas. They had that nice bit of spice and kick. Overall, the restaurant is minimal on the inside. They serving to go containers which I think is very smart. They have a few drink options in the soda machine. A drink came with my meal and they told me just to pick a canned drink out of the cooler. However, they just opened and none of this affected the quality of the food and how enjoyable it was. There was enough for leftovers that we're just as good warmed up the next day. I still can't believe I got quality Indian food here in Bremen Georgia.
