My first time here and I'm already planning a lunch there again this weekend! I have driven past this place so many times in my life and I've never eaten here until now! The building is a little small, but there is an extra dining room upstairs so it makes up for it. The dining room is very clean and you can tell they definitely pay attention to details. From the moment we walked in the staff had nothing but smiles and greetings for us! They were all so friendly and our server was polite, knowledgeable, and very helpful recommending different food to us. The prices are reasonable and the portions are very good. I had the catfish as it's one of my favorites and theirs did not disappoint me! Beautifully fried catfish just right! Very flavorful! The baked potato was hot and fresh, but the star for me was the Cole slaw and those fantastic hush puppies! I could've just had the slaw and hush puppies and all would've been perfect! They were delicious! My wife had the pulled pork and bbq beans and she said it was very good! We enjoyed our food, and the experience immensely! My only real advice to give you is, get there early! We..party of 12 spent over $300.00..they served our steaks and told us after they served the steaks that they were out of baked potatoes,and corn and green beans..so we ordered onion rings..tasted like fish and were really gross..so we only had the steaks to eat while we waited for another 20 minutes or so.servers were terrible..so...they took our drinks off the order.wow..thanks.i live in Pennsylvania and out with the entire family..so disappointed.March 8th 2026. read more

I just love Al & Mick's; the ambience is just wonderful from the stuffed Jack-a-lope to the stuffed wild boar up stairs . I usually get the grilled catfish which is excellent but I tried the stuffed barbecue potato this last time and it was very good; I'm adding it to my favorites list. However I didn't like their onion rings; they were to greasy for me. I just won't order them again. read more

Al & Mick's BBQ is an all-around winner of a restaurant. It has a cool log cabin type ambiance, the service is incredibly attentive, friendly and professional and the food is very good. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon (October 1, 2023) maybe 4:15 or 4:30 and it was not too busy, but not necessarily dead either. The staff there was incredibly friendly and I chose a table. I really liked the log cabin atmosphere and my server was great. Since I am trying to drop a few pounds, I went with the grilled catfish and for my sides, I went with coleslaw and green beans. It was very good and made the diet a bit easier to do when you can eat tasty food. I would definitely return here and look forward to returning after the diet brings me down those ten pounds. This is the Burger Man with Best Burgers in America out seeing who has the best burgers. Well, disappointed with their burger. Preformed patties, and not fresh hand patted-out patties can affect the taste and texture of the burger. It was a good burger, but not a great burger that I am used to eating out here in the burger world. My wife got the Chicken Baked potato, and it was good. read more

The pulled pork was nice and which is exactly what I had hoped for. My baked beans were also packed full of flavor and my chicken was nice and juicy. At 17 dollars this was great value. The servers here were very friendly as well. I wouldn't mind eating at this place in the future. read more

A good stop along the road for lunch. Friendly and efficient staff. The place is clean and suits the theme--log cabin with a stone fireplace. Lots of parking too! We had pork sandwich and patty melt with onion rings. They were lightly coated and fried thin. Both sandwiches came on Texas Toast toasted with butter, and there was more than enough onion rings in one order to share. We really enjoyed it. read more

Costumer service is bad, love the burgers here but las time I went there, my food was brought out cold, because it had been sitting in the kitchen, and only after my husband went to the register to complain, we were able to get it, we sat about 40 min and got cold food, I felt discriminated against, as people who arrived 20 or more minutes later got their food before us, it's sad for me because I like their food, just so u know Mexican will be discriminated against at this establishment, good food bad service will not recommend to any one of color read more

Nice find while out on the Covered Bridges of Alabama tour. We were a little worried when we arrived. 1 pm on a Saturday and the parking lot was quiet. But we found quickly that it was an illusion. The place was very clean and the staff, which looked mainly like high school students, were very polite and attentive. The food was really good. Bbq sauce, only one type, was sweet and tangy. Not huge ketchup or mustard taste just a nice balanced sauce. Hamburger was a fresh homemade patty, husband liked that. They do a banginging Togo business which explained the parking lot. read more

Work there 11 years was treated with the up most respect. Always caring.worked the shifts I want never arguing or teared bad.i started working at al and mick's 5 days after they open.then mrs Jane and her son Craig call me to the kitchen. They said your app. Says you cook for along time .I said yesi have.they both offer me the job of cooking..the pay was way over what I expected. Craig trained me with in 3 days.itvwas amazing how clean the kitchen,the coolers and deep freezes were so clean and in order.i was train how to keep everything clean,in order.how to cook amazing plates full of great food.the plates was all so full of food and always hot.then years later we started.specials meat ,two vegetables,dessert and drink.you will never find a great place to go eat at .we always had a health score in 98 and up.still is.i soon retired but never so love the food .I get a phone call from Laura or hunter every day. I thank god he blessed me with wonderful people. Amen and go get some great food. read more

Very clean and inviting atmosphere. The employees were young and very, very polite! The food was delicious. Hubby had a hamburger and onion rings. He really enjoyed the burger. The onion rings, not so much. He likes actual rings and these were strips. I like the strips and I thought they were fabulous. I asked and they are homemade. I had the bbq salad with ranch. I had overheard the ranch is homemade and it was delicious. The salad was large, fresh, and had lots of veggies. We were passing through, so unfortunately, it won't be a place we frequent. I read the not so good reviews before we stopped as we were traveling through the area. But because there was no where else to eat we decided to stop anyway. So glad we did. The BBQ sandwich was awesome and big. The fries were very good. Steak fries are crispy and seasoned well. My husband ate a burger and it was good. No issues really. Little slow on table service. And they get your drinks messed up. I would suggest they use different colored glasses for unsweetened and diet. Overall the food was good, hot, and quick on delivery. read more

If you want delicious barbecue in a clean dining room and excellent service, eat here. The potato salad was exactly like my grandmother's, that is, perfect. My husband got the pork plate and I got the half chicken. Both were excellent. I also got the regular fries. They were large, battered, fried and yummy. I have to mention the sauce because for me, it can make or break barbecue. It's second only to the meat. This sauce had a very good balance of sweet and savory, and there's a full bottle on every table. That's always a plus. I'm excited to have discovered a place on the way home. Awesome Place to eat in or take out and they have a drive through if you want to call ahead for no wait! I haven't had anything yet that wasn't great! Especially the BBQ and 1/2 Chicken.
