We stopped here on the way to Tennessee, after reading so many great reviews. The location is confusing but the inside interior is really nice and cozy. The customer service was very slow. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived but the person at the front desk completely ignored us for about 5 minutes slowly walking back and forth to the kitchen and then placing mango lassi in the fridge. Finally she came to greet us (she seemed a bit bothered and wasn't the friendliest person), bring waters and take our order. We ordered papadam (we thought it will be brought out first as an appetizer as usually) few dishes to share and drinks. We had to wait long time (at least 15-20 minutes), then I asked if it's possible to get our drinks before the food comes, as it seemed like they forgot about them (it's just a glass of wine!) Finally the food came almost at the same time with drinks, and then we got papadam later. Papadam comes plain - no sauces on the side, as in most other Indian restaurants. Just a note, to take that in mind. Maybe have to order separate. But... Food was very flavourful! We did not like the chicken kebab - it was just looking odd and tasted weird. We were also told it's all white meat but it was definitely a mix. We asked about it, but the employee just shrugged her shoulders and said should be white meat and left. She was very much in "uninterested, I don't care" mood. We thought she went to kitchen to ask and will come back but she didn't. Chana Masala was WAY too salty but flavourful. Butter Chicken was the only dish I really liked. It was very flavourful and I liked the cinnamon touch in it (also Chana Masala had that nice cinnamon touch, if it wasn't for that salt!). So Butter Chicken was amazing, I would highly recommend it. I would love to come and try more dishes. read more

This was a very interesting experience, I saw the interstate sign and decided to pull off and try this place. The exterior leaves a lot to be desired. It is an abandoned fast food restaurant. The tall street sign is busted out and there was an old beat up van in the back. The reviews were amazing so I had to try it anyways. The paneer tikka masala was AMAZING! Paneer was very fresh tasting and the gravy had great herbs and spices in it. Looks can be deceiving, the food was incredible and that is all that matters. It is across the street from a truck stop too. Never would have figured the food could be so incredible. read more

This was my first time here. As a local, I will definitely be back. It is in a weird part of town next to Pilot, but it is conveniently right off 75. The parking lot has plenty of space and is kept clean. Walking inside the place looks very nice and clean. We ordered the chicken pakora, butter chicken masala and garlic naan. The garlic naan is incredible! All the food was served hot and fresh, and tasted very good. The butter chicken masala was served with rice. The service was ok. We were given waters when we first sat down. I ordered a sprite as well, but wasn't offered any refills. The pace of the food came quick, but if we needed anything after, it was a bit hard to get. You pay at the table, but I had to ask for an itemized bill before paying. We ordered a sauce that never came and I wanted to make sure I wasn't being charged for it. I was, but they immediately removed it. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. read more

It's one of the better places to eat around here. And the food is really good. As a food place it's good, as an Indian food place it's great. I loved that they have levels of spiciness - so never mind I chose medium, scaredy cat here wants to enjoy the food not the drippy nose. It was a family visit with parents and sons so truly enjoyed it. We all loved the fish pakora - get those for sure. Liked the garlic naan. Rice comes with so was really really reasonably priced. I've been a huge fan of Indian food for decades and prefer northern/Punjabi over southern fare. Most have been good, but North Indian Flame is one of the exceptional ones that I can count on one hand. We had Chana Masala, Aloo Mutter, Mali Kofta, and Garlic Naan. All were stellar. My only problem with the place is that they're too far from my home to get there on a regular basis. My recommendation to their management is a sign on I-75 some 10-20 miles north and south of their location would bring in more business. I hope they'll be in business for many years to come. read more

I love Indian cuisine and have eaten Indian food in Atlanta and this was as good if not better than most restaurants. The spice level was perfect and the portions are adequate. Delicious food, friendly service. The quality and flavors of the dishes I've tried have been wonderful. Our favorite is the Tandoori chicken which even my 9 year old loves. The decor is very pretty - they've done a good job creating a space that feels clean, and modern, but is also very pretty. You can even get a drink here to accompany your meal. I used to live close to Devon Street in Chicago and loved getting authentic Indian food. I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a restaurant. We are so lucky to have this place in our area! This new Indian restaurant and bar is a wonderful addition to Calhoun, Georgia, the town where i grew up. The delicious Masala Chai blew us away right off the bat, even before we dived into their menu, which is full of delicious vegetarian offerings. I had aloo ghobi and samosas. My wife had channa masala and an appetizer i didn't remember. It was all wonderful with an emphasis on flavor more than spice heat. I hope they have a long and happy future on Traveler's Way!
