Delicious Thai spot! Happy to have found this restaurant. The service was superb. They offer wonderful lunch specials. The food came out piping hot which I love. Truly enjoyed my meal.

Really shocked with how good this Thai place is. The flavors were BOLD, the choices and portions were really good, and the prices were great! BE MINDFUL OF HOURS OF OPERATION -Closed Sun/Mon -CLOSES FOR 2 HRS from 2p-430p Tue/Wed/Thu The restaurant is small so just beware if you want to come with a group larger than 6. ‼GET THE POTSTICKERS!! if you like a little spice and red curry/coconut flavor these were really great. It's just steamed potstickers but the sauce...wow chefs kiss Only complaint is that the summer rolls are only served after 5pm (why? It's all fresh ingredients easy to have ready that are part of any other dish) They were out of cabbage for my tofu and vegetable soup. I requested extra of the other veggies in its place but 2 strikes in a row for an appetizer wasn't amazing

Everything we had was incredibly delicious! Of course, the sauces and curry made the difference. We had Potstickers, Pad Priew Wan, Cashew Nut, Curry on the side, and split a Coconut cake for dessert. The staff were friendly and the service excellent. They are small, but they can seat more than you'd think. Will definitely remember this place when we come this way again!

Probably some of the best Thai food I have had. Very much a need in your life ! Drunking noodles was amazing

This is the only Thai restaurant in the Gadsden/Rainbow City/Attalla area. I've been here several times and every time has overall been a good experience. The wait for food to arrive to the table is around 20 minutes. The only appetizer I would order again and again would be the Fresh Basil Rolls. They're only available after 5pm so that's usually when I go. The Curry Noodle Bowl is my favorite entree so far. I don't even like coconut but their Coconut Ice Cream is just divine!

WOAH!! stopped by not expecting much but left with new expectations for thai food. this place had some of the tastiest fried rice I've ever tried! i got the veggie tofu which was needs salted a bit but the sauce was pretty good in general! my boyfriend got the pineapple fried rice with steak (plus two dollar uncharge) which already came with shrimp and chicken! devoured it in minutes and almost bough another order! i recommend this place if youre in town or passing by!

Been here a couple times now, once really busy on a Saturday at lunchtime and once not so busy mid-afternoon on a Saturday. Both times service was excellent and food quality was superb. As far as quality goes, these guys rank as some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Good selection of traditional and somewhat unique menu items. Serving sizes are moderate to large and prices are on par with any other Thai food place I've been to in the past. Casual low key environment, so if you've just finished hiking at Noccalula falls or you've just dressed from a meeting you may have had, you don't need to worry you'll fit right in with everyone else in the place. Worth seeking this place out if you are anywhere in the area and looking for a fix for that Thai food craving you may have. Looking forward to trying more of the menu items, soon!

My wife and I just moved back to Alabama from NJ and though we are glad to be back living in the South, we do miss all the food options we had to choose from there in the NYC metro area. So, finding that we have a Thai restaurant nearby is a nice surprise and it's not just decent, it's delicious. Everything we had today including the pad Thai, the coconut soup and the fresh squeezed lemonade was excellent. We will definitely be coming back for more.

That said, the food was very flavorful, fresh, delicious and affordable. Affordable is very important to us and this is a good value! My favorite was a sweet that we had after our meal. It was sticky rice surrounded by perfectly ripe mango strips with a coconut sauce. I like not too sweet and could have even had a bit less sugar in the sauce but it was so simple I might try it myself some day and it was amazingly delicious! The service was wonderful. I told our server that I was in the mood for mango and she suggested the sweet. There was only one server and the cook but they were doing brisk business highly efficiently and making it look easy as can be. Most of the business was carry out as the place is small and not elegant. It is quite clean and homey. My husband and I sat on the same side of the long booth seat and there were only one or two other parties on that week night. This is definitely my current favorite local restaurant!

Another excellent addition your list of Thai restaurants in Birmingham!…read more They've only been there for 6 years and I finally made it. Even though I didn't dine in, I appreciated the beautiful decor and the attention to detail. Gone from their early days during the pandemic when they were take out only to their newly renovated and larger dining area. There's nice bar with stools nearly centered in the restaurant. Employees are more friendly than you can imagine. Located on 280 near the Greystone entrance, YYST is on the right in a small quaint strip shopping area that's raised "above" 280. So if you're driving by you can see YYST by looking up. There's no outdoor seating, but plenty of tables and chairs inside with seating at the bar. They are quite proud of their Yelpies 2025 award for "Beloved Birmingham Business" which sits at the front entrance. Their menu is comprehensive with the right amount of dishes to satisfy. Every "Thai" place seems to have their own take on most dishes and YYST is no different. Their "recommended" entrees include Mango fish, Pad Thai Chakangrao, Massamun Short Rib, Pad Thai Wings and Panang New York Strip. Then they also have "Signature Plates" whose menu descriptions had my mouth watering. There's also stir fry, curries, salads, and even a lunch menu. Since I wasn't dining, I was going to do my litmus test and try their version they call Beef Drunken Uncle noodle. I also ordered their Fresh Basil Shrimp Rolls, and Bangkok market fried rice. I waited at the bar for about 10 minutes when my packaged meals arrived. I was offered a glass of cool water as I waited at the bar. The rolls were wrapped in saran wrap and I would guess were probably made a couple of days ago. Nothing wrong with that except I got unlucky and rice paper wrapper was almost crunchy. They were a little heavy on the use of lettuce, but each had 4 large fresh shrimp. The taste wasn't anything spectacular BUT their version of the dipping peanut sauce saved it. Yom Yom Yom! The fried rice was delicious. Tossed in a wok with eggs, onions, chinese broccoli and their house sauce, I had beef added as the protein and it was delicious. My Drunken noodle was very good! This traditional street food inspired dish is a classic. Wide noodles tossed with snap beans, garlic, onions, bell peppers with thai chili and basil, their version is quite good! It had great flavor and an excellent representation of the drunken noodle. Next time I might have to pay extra for a fried egg on top. Yom Yom Yom Yom! I'm glad I finally visited YYST. I am looking forward to returning and this time dining in. The Panang New York Strip and Mango Fish have my name on them!
