I had a terrible experience at Curry Chevrolet's service department. I brought my car in for service, and as I was backing out of the service area, one of their associates lowered the garage door onto my car, shattering my rear window. This was clearly their negligence -- I was in plain sight, and the door should never have been closed while a vehicle was moving. When I spoke with the service advisor and the manager, instead of taking responsibility, I was told they "weren't liable" because I backed out. That explanation is ridiculous. The damage happened because their employee lowered the door without checking if the area was clear. I trusted them with my vehicle, and they handled the situation with no care, no apology, and no accountability. I strongly advise anyone considering Curry Chevrolet for service to think twice. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but refusing to stand behind them and blaming the customer shows terrible management and complete disregard for basic professionalism.

I asked if they had the specific bmw for $20k. He said yes. I explained I was an inexperienced driver that needed a car suddenly and my mother would be co-signing the car for me even though she was not with me. He writes the dollar amount $26 k on the paperwork and asked me to sign. I asked him why the price was different and he said closing costs. He told me I would be paying $674 for 42 months (a little over 3 years). I agreed. They told me the cost of the payment would go up significantly if I used my name and I should just use my mother's name only. I said ok. Later he tells me their printer is down and he offered to drive with me to my mother's house (122 miles away) for her to physically sign the paperwork so he can release the keys to me. While at her home, she asked how much the car was and I said 20k and Ray said 26. I then said right, because of closing costs. She signs. We leave my mother's home and he drives the car to my address (another 84 miles) and park. He said he had to wait until his boss got him an uber to his home. I invited him upstairs and sat with him in the living room. He was there for about 20 minutes because he could not get in touch with his manager. At this time its after midnight. While in the car I asked about a low battery notification and he said it was fine. There were so many things wrong with this process that I and my mother were unaware of because we both had no experience buying cars from a dealership. Ray and the dealership agreed to hold my plates upon arrival so I wouldn't have to pick it up at my mother's home and it would take 30-45 days to process. I was also told the dealership would reach out to me. 29 days after purchasing the car Ray tells me he no longer works with the dealership. I had been contacting him about getting gap insurance for the car for almost 2 weeks prior. The following day my mother received a notification from Experian for a $45K loan Apparently Ray had my mother sign a blank agreement and added an extra $20k on the car. We tried to return the car and were told there is no window of return even though that was exactly 30 days from the purchase date. 16 days later (1 day outside of the 45 day expected processing time for the license plates) I was pulled over by the State Police on my way to work because my temporary license plate was in the window (incorrect placement). The Police told me the license plate I had (the one given to me at the dealership) was only meant for dealerships/commercial use and not personal. Ray had given me a paper to keep in the glove compartment in the event I was asked for registration. The Police told me it was an in-transit paper for transporting cars from one place to another. For these reasons they impounded the car and also gave me tickets. 2 days later I was told they would not assist because my mother told them she plans to sue. 6 months later I got my car checked and was told that battery notification I saw on the car when I first got it was serious and I should check if I'm covered with the dealership. They said I would not be covered. I've only had the car for 6 months and they resolved nothing. This was a horrible experience and none of the many individuals I spoke with (some of them Erik, Aron, Yvonne) offered no help. I was even told they would send a check for a few payments as a sorry and they never got back to me. They get your money and tell you anything to leave and you have to almost harass them for them to tell you they actually cannot assist. I've worked in customer service/sales for over a decade. I have never seen a case where an employee that gets fired is found to have screwed over customers to this extreme and they do nothing at all. Learn from my experience and do not patron this business. Let me add my mother has perfect credit which is why I thought it best to have her help me.

I brought my truck to Scarsdale Ford for a major repair and paid over $7,000 for the work. When I picked up my truck, I later noticed multiple scratches on the painted trim directly above the Ford emblem that were not there before the repair. I have photographs taken before the service that show this area was undamaged. I contacted the dealership immediately and made several attempts to resolve the issue professionally. Unfortunately, what disappointed me most wasn't just the damage--it was how I was treated afterward. I repeatedly asked to speak with the Service Manager, but she never came out to speak with me. Instead, other employees were sent to tell me there was "nothing they could do." No one appeared interested in inspecting the damage with me or discussing a possible resolution. I also attempted to reach the General Manager, but my calls were never returned. I then opened a case with Ford Corporate, sent a certified letter, and even filed a complaint with the New York State Attorney General after I was unable to get any meaningful response from the dealership. I made every effort to resolve this matter privately before posting this review. I understand that mistakes can happen during vehicle repairs. What separates a good dealership from a bad one is how they respond when a customer raises a legitimate concern. In my experience, there was no accountability, no meaningful communication, and no effort to make things right after I had just spent thousands of dollars at their dealership. If you're considering having your vehicle serviced here, especially for major repairs, I encourage you to ask how customer concerns are handled if something goes wrong. My experience left me feeling ignored and dismissed. I hope Scarsdale Ford uses this feedback to improve its customer service because every customer deserves to be treated with professionalism, respect, and honesty.

From the moment I reached out, Phil listened patiently, treated me with genuine kindness, and took action immediately. He wasted no time with excuses or delays. Instead, he focused entirely on making everything right. What could have been a frustrating experience became one of the best examples of customer service I have ever received. Phil did not merely fix the problem. He went far above and beyond to ensure everything was handled perfectly and that I felt truly taken care of. His calm professionalism, thoughtful follow-through, and genuine courtesy made all the difference. Phil Coiro is the epitome of a true gentleman and an absolute credit to the Ford Center. If every employee were even half as dedicated and kind as he is, the world would be a much better place. I am incredibly grateful and will never forget how he turned a difficult situation into a genuinely positive one. Thank you, Phil. You are simply the best. I highly recommend working with him whenever you have the opportunity.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE…read more Let me share my experience with Yonkers Kia. I purchased a used car from them, and it only came with one key. When I asked about the second key, I was told they didn't have it. Instead, they issued me a "We Owe" agreement, stating that I would need to purchase and program a new key myself, and they would reimburse me. I followed their instructions. In December, I submitted the invoice for reimbursement--and I am still waiting to be paid. Since then, I've had to call multiple times, re-submit the same paperwork more than once, and constantly follow up. Each time I reach out, I'm treated dismissively, like I'm the one causing the issue. I never receive callbacks, and the process has been unnecessarily difficult. They owe me over $700. At this point, it's not just about the money--it's about how poorly this has been handled. Because of this experience, they've lost me as a customer, and I would not recommend them to anyone. My next steps are to file complaints with Westchester Consumer Protection, Kia Corporate, and to share my experience publicly so others are aware. All of this... over $700. What a shame.

Usually I go to a my local auto service to have my car inspected for the annual safety inspection. In the past few months I have buying parts and maintenance items from Curry Acura and I thought why not try their service? I was hesitant at first because I am not familiar with them (I got my car from another dealership) and 2 years ago I was having a problem getting book myself for a service appointment with Curry thru online. When I went to their website, this time I find it a lot easier to set an appointment and I got my desired day and time for the service. It improved a lot. I also got like 3 reminders (email and text) days prior to upcoming appointment which I confirmed to all of them. I arrived in Curry on time and was greeted by a lady (sorry, I forgot your name) and was directed to my advisor for that day, Chris. True to Acura's standard of service all of the staffs seem to be professional and friendly. Chris confirmed my appointment and advised me it will take approximately 1 hour to complete the job. Since it is just an inspection I opted to wait in the lounge until my vehicle is serviced. A good number of clients are already waiting in the lounge, all observing social distancing and wearing their masks and I noticed too that the pantry is not available. I completely understand this and I really wish that the pandemic will soon be over. =) A good 25 minutes later (quick!), I got a call from Chris and that my car is ready. I went by his desk and he told me that the car passed the safety inspection and also advised me of his recommendations regarding the tires. He provided me a copy of the inspection, recommendations and quotes for the tires upon my request. I had a very positive experience with Curry Acura service department. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally document a serious safety incident that occurred following recall service performed on my 2019 Acura ILX at your dealership. On May 2, 2026, I brought my vehicle in at approximately 10:45 a.m. for a scheduled brake recall service. At 12:41 p.m., I was notified that the vehicle was ready for pickup. I arrived around 3:00 p.m., and the vehicle was returned to me. Upon leaving the dealership, I immediately noticed that the brake pedal felt unusually stiff. I initially assumed this might resolve with normal driving. However, shortly thereafter, I experienced a dangerous malfunction affecting both the braking system and cruise control. To be specific, my vehicle was braking on its own, it would not reverse therefore I could not operate the vehicle. The vehicle began behaving erratically in a way that nearly caused a serious accident, placing my safety and the safety of others at significant risk. As a result of this incident, I was forced to wait in a parking lot for approximately eight hours for a tow, without access to a restroom and with uncertainty regarding the safety of the surrounding area. Additionally, I experienced a lack of communication and professionalism from the towing company, which added to the distress of the situation. When my vehicle was brought to Acura for the second time on Sunday May 3 by tow truck during examination of my vehicle, it was reported to me by your employee Chris Bach that the wiring was loose. It is my position that the recall service performed by your service department was improperly executed and directly contributed to these malfunctions. A vehicle brought in for a safety recall should be returned in a safe and fully operational condition, not in a state that creates new hazards. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, stress, and concern for my personal safety. I am formally requesting the following: A comprehensive inspection and repair of all braking and cruise control system issues at no cost to me. Reimbursement or compensation for all expenses incurred as a result of this incident. A written acknowledgment from your dealership accepting responsibility for the errors associated with the recall service. I expect a response within 10 business days. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will escalate this matter to Acura Corporate Customer Relations, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and, if necessary, pursue legal counsel. This is a serious matter, and I trust it will be handled with the urgency and attention it requires.
