I will say now that the treatment I received from Anthony and Sal when purchasing my Pre Owned vehicle made me feel like I had just purchased every car on the lot. Anthony was extremely professional and courteous from the moment we were introduced by the manager. Very approachable, not pushy, and was a straight shooter from the jump. I love that he treated me like he would the President of the United States. Sal was relatable, non intimidating, and made himself available throughout my complicated transaction. This letter was sent to curry Acura about a incident that occurred and the manger basically told me my concerns should be with the tow company. Don't get service from this location. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally document a serious safety incident that occurred following recall service performed on my 2019 Acura ILX at your dealership. On May 2, 2026, I brought my vehicle in at approximately 10:45 a.m. for a scheduled brake recall service. At 12:41 p.m., I was notified that the vehicle was ready for pickup. I arrived around 3:00 p.m., and the vehicle was returned to me. Upon leaving the dealership, I immediately noticed that the brake pedal felt unusually stiff. I initially assumed this might resolve with normal driving. However, shortly thereafter, I experienced a dangerous malfunction affecting both the braking system and cruise control. To be specific, my vehicle was braking on its own, it would not reverse therefore I could not operate the vehicle. The vehicle began behaving erratically in a way that nearly caused a serious accident, placing my safety and the safety of others at significant risk. As a result of this incident, I was forced to wait in a parking lot for approximately eight hours for a tow, without access to a restroom and with uncertainty regarding the safety of the surrounding area. Additionally, I experienced a lack of communication and professionalism from the towing company, which added to the distress of the situation. When my vehicle was brought to Acura for the second time on Sunday May 3 by tow truck during examination of my vehicle, it was reported to me by your employee Chris Bach that the wiring was loose. It is my position that the recall service performed by your service department was improperly executed and directly contributed to these malfunctions. A vehicle brought in for a safety recall should be returned in a safe and fully operational condition, not in a state that creates new hazards. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, stress, and concern for my personal safety. I am formally requesting the following: A comprehensive inspection and repair of all braking and cruise control system issues at no cost to me. Reimbursement or compensation for all expenses incurred as a result of this incident. A written acknowledgment from your dealership accepting responsibility for the errors associated with the recall service. I expect a response within 10 business days. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will escalate this matter to Acura Corporate Customer Relations, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and, if necessary, pursue legal counsel. This is a serious matter, and I trust it will be handled with the urgency and attention it requires. read more

I had a very disappointing experience here. I came in with my old Acura thinking that I could trade it in and buy a new one, perhaps the EV model. But the sales associate (older guy) started the conversation by talking about how much it would cost to fix my front fender (which has a crack) and gave off the presumption that the lease would be too expensive for me. Weird. I was certainly dressed casually and I look young, but I never even had a chance to tell him about my interests. Right when I walked through the door, I told the salesman everything upfront: that I only had one key and didn't have the title in hand yet. Two hours later, just as we were about to close the deal, the so-called pre-owned sales manager, Yuri, comes over and says, "You like to throw curveballs." Excuse me? I told you everything the moment I walked in. Instead, they're the ones throwing curveballs--treating me like I'm trying to trade in a stolen truck because I didn't have the title and only had one key (both of which I disclosed from the start). The professionalism completely disappeared, even after I asked him, "Who do you think you're talking to?"--right in front of my nine-year-old daughter. All I can say is: Never buy a car from here. I contacted Curry Acura parts, as i was in need of a left mirror housing, 2 actuators and 1 heated mirror for my left driver side mirror. I spoke to Jose in Parts, he was very knowledgeable and patient to look and verify parts for my 2011 MDX. I had explained that i called other dealers and either they had some of the parts and or parts could not be found in the specific color thag i needed them. While I understand it takes time to order and receive parts, i did not mind waiting for them. In the end parts were ordered and while talking to him the calm got disconnected and before i could even redial, Jose was calling me back apologizing for the call disconnecting. This review is for the annual NY Vehicle Safety inspection performed on my car by Curry Acura Service Department. Usually I go to a my local auto service to have my car inspected for the annual safety inspection. In the past few months I have buying parts and maintenance items from Curry Acura and I thought why not try their service? I was hesitant at first because I am not familiar with them (I got my car from another dealership) and 2 years ago I was having a problem getting book myself for a service appointment with Curry thru online. When I went to their website, this time I find it a lot easier to set an appointment and I got my desired day and time for the service. It improved a lot. I also got like 3 reminders (email and text) days prior to upcoming appointment which I confirmed to all of them. I arrived in Curry on time and was greeted by a lady (sorry, I forgot your name) and was directed to my advisor for that day, Chris. True to Acura's standard of service all of the staffs seem to be professional and friendly. Chris confirmed my appointment and advised me it will take approximately 1 hour to complete the job. Since it is just an inspection I opted to wait in the lounge until my vehicle is serviced. A good number of clients are already waiting in the lounge, all observing social distancing and wearing their masks and I noticed too that the pantry is not available. I completely understand this and I really wish that the pandemic will soon be over. =) A good 25 minutes later (quick!), I got a call from Chris and that my car is ready. I went by his desk and he told me that the car passed the safety inspection and also advised me of his recommendations regarding the tires. He provided me a copy of the inspection, recommendations and quotes for the tires upon my request. I had a very positive experience with Curry Acura service department. I recently bought a pre-owned car here and, despite previous issues with this dealer, was forced to return because they had the car that I wanted. This is a dishonest dealership; after the price had been agreed upon, I returned two days later to pick up the car. When I negotiated a price for the car, the salesman said it would come with a full tank of gas. When I picked up the car, they charged me $65 for the tank of gas! First, he had implied that the gas was included in the price we agreed on. Second, they charged over $6 a gallon, when the current price for Super in my area is around $4 a gallon. If you want to buy an Acura in Westchester, go to Acura of Westchester in Larchmont instead. Honest people and excellent customer service from the sales and service departments! read more

This place is not up to par compared with other Acura dealerships I've been to. They sold me a certified car and it had issues and they didn't want to fix it. I had to go to Wappingers and they were MUCH better. They also try to sell you things you "need" for an exorbitant cost. My car buying experience with 3 year old 2017 Acura RDX certified pre owned was pretty good - not sure a 5 star car purchase even exists ... at least not in my eyes. Nick Mazzilli was my salesman, and was great. He was direct with no gamesmanship and told us everything we needed ... he gets a 5 star. We drove an hour+ from CT and needed a car soon and required a trade in ... and Nick facilitated everything. The process within a car dealer is grueling - including all the extras we had to consider or decline. I try to buy higher end cars and keep them a long time - so the car buying game has changed and you need to invest the time upfront and narrow down selections - as haggling doesn't appear to work anymore. My observation is that this pandemic is causing a huge increase in inventory as auctions are closed, and the market will soon be flooded when people cannot pay loans or leases. ANY car purchase you consider - you should be able to get a great deal as inventory will be far greater than demand - so you know what will happen to price read more

My personal experience with service department is terrible. Their diagnostics and fixing the problem is very poor to say the least and the original issue is not resolved in its entirety. It concerns me to go their shop since every visit takes me back by at least $1,000. During one visit, they claimed having fixed the dashboard display for low tire pressure and ABS but the issue recurred right after I left their premise. Brought it back after a week and they claimed the issue was due to broken sensor. The service manager's story is very inconsistent about wheel check. Anyway after another couple of thousand in damages, one of the jobs was done incompletely and we had to return to the shop. There was no apology whatsoever from the service manager who in fact passed by us without acknowledging that they had made a mistake. Though, luckily they did not charge us this time, it was a waste of 2 hrs of our time. It has left a very poor taste with this place. The staff is good but disappointed with service manager and workmanship. Acura service can and has done better at other service dealer locations. read more

About a year or two ago, I took my MDX to Curry Acura for regular service .they were supposed to rotate and balance the tires, so I marked the tires before I dropped the car off to make sure it was done. Lo and behold, when I picked it up, the marks were unmoved. I brought it to the attention of the service supervisor, Diane, who said , oh we must have missed that, and I believe they refunded the cost to me. Ok, mistakes happen, I was upset, but I moved on. Today, I dropped the car again for a service that included a tire rotation. Once again, I marked the tires before dropping off the car. When I picked it up , I noticed that the tires weren't rotated, but I was charged for the rotation. Again, I showed this to the service department manager Diane, and she apologized and said there must have been a miscommunication between the technician and the service manager. Really? That's it? That's the responsibility she took? Nothing about calling in the technician to see why he fabricated the work order to show work that wasn't really done?? If I hadn't marked the tires, as most people don't, I would've paid for work that wasn't done. So, what else are they fabricating? I was refunded the cost of the tire rotation and I left pretty upset. A blatant lie and theft and absolutely no accountability or remorse of any kind. I'm telling you who are reading this - this is NO MISTAKE! CUSTOMER BEWARE. If something happens once, it can be a mistake. If it happens twice, it's a habit. If you're interested in spending a lot of money for service that isn't performed, Curry Acura is the place for you. PS Corporate ACURA will be hearing from me as well, and if there are enough complaints, maybe they'll actually do something about it. read more

I purchased my Acura from another dealer and have always used them for service. They are wonderful. Unfortunately my car was disabled and I was unable to bring it to my usual dealership. I had no choice but to get it serviced at Curry and it will be the last time my car is there. I dealt with Tim in the service department. He was very friendly and this review is in no way a reflection on him or the staff. But when I received the quote for work to be done, I was in shock. The price was 35% more than from my regular dealership. I was able to negotiate the service charges. But why would this dealership charge twice as many hours for the same job? In addition, my battery is 5 years old and I was considering having it changed while the work was being done on my car. But once again, the price was 35% higher. I would recommend getting quotes from other dealerships before having your car serviced here. read more

I have always owned Acuras and never had any MAJOR problem. I purchased a brand new 2017 Acura MDX in November 2016 from Curry Acura. No lease, no finance. Out right purchased the vehicle. The car ,within one year, needed a new seat frame which ,thank God ,the car was still under warranty for. The same problem happened in the Fall. I was finally able to bring the car in for service today. I was just informed by the service consultant that it AGAIN needs a whole new seat frame and the cost is $2023!!!!! There is obviously a defect in this car since this seems to happen every few years. I take care of my cars . This car has only 44,000 miles. This is obviously a LEMON and I cannot afford to pay this every few years since there is no guarantee this will happen again! In addition, the drivers window vibrates when it is down only an inch or two. This was addressed right after purchase and I was told they were aware of this in this model and NOTHING could be done. I have been coming here for 4 years now and I have serviced my previously leased 2010 Acura TL and my currently leased 2013 Acura TL w/SH-AWD here and only here. Once my car was damaged while here for general service by another customer, not Acura's fault at all. And they fixed and replaced the bumper that was hit at no cost to me. I come here for my oil changes and I get a complimentary car wash each time I get my car serviced as well. My sales guy has been for my 2 cars Furman Byrd. He is terrific, he's a tall gentlemen as am I. So he definitely understands my needs. He always asks how my family is, especially my daughter. Very friendly and very helpful. There is always a promo or spiff going on for the customers. IE: Trips, gift cards, discounts, restaurant coupons, etc. They also have a point system and other perks and incentives to keep customers, including myself coming back. The only reason, that it wasn't a 5 start review is that I wasn't happy with the finance manager Yuri. I felt he was pushy, and not understanding of me and my families needs. read more
