They've got great tasting dishes. My favorite dish is the chicken tikka Masala, it's to die for. It's also priced very good and won't put a dent in your wallet. They don't have buffet but that doesn't bother me cuz they always serve fresh tasting food. This is my go to place whenever I'm in the mood for Indian food. After reading all the reviews a few of us at work decided to give this place a try. We like spicy food and asked the waitress to give us the spiciest version of chicken tikka masala available. What they gave us was clearly from their premade pot in the back with some chili flakes on top. The flavor itself was bland, and the spicy flakes made no difference. As others have said, don't be deceived by its appearance. In any case, compared to its last location, being next the the light rail station is an upgrade of sorts! My family mourned when the old Copper Kettle closed down (through no fault of the owner as her landlord screwed them over), but we were overjoyed to see them open again just down the street. Their tasty curries remind me of home (the highest compliment I can give), the naans are fluffy and not burnt as in other Indian restaurants, and the portions are very, very generous. Aunty Farah and her son Omar really know how to run a restaurant too -- while the food is superb, it's the personal touch with service that brings us back. They take the trouble to remember what you ordered the last time, and they do find some time to chat even if the restaurant is packed (which it ofter is, especially during the ASU Fall and Spring semesters) If you stop by, do take some time to chat with them! read more

Curry Corner is always good, and really cheap for what you get. The tikka masala fries are unique and fun, and everything we've had has been really tasty. The platters have enough food to take some home, and you get to sample multiple dishes. Just FYI, though, you might want to bring your own water if you're ordering anything that is at all spicy, because the servers seem pretty busy and don't do refills or any other kind of interaction, besides taking your order (it will probably take them 10-15 minutes to get to you for that). We've had multiple experiences where our water glasses have been empty for the whole meal, even after we've asked for refills. Also, don't expect anyone to come check on you - if you need something, ask multiple people! In short, great food for good prices, with poor service. In our book, it still gets four stars because of the value, but barely. read more

We made a special stop here before leaving Phoenix after seeing them on triple D. They had large portions at a good price. The food was delicious. The reason this is not a 5 is that my husband's goat karahi dish had many many bones in it. (We counted over a dozen). He actually cut the inside of his mouth on one and was bleeding. These were not large bones that would be easily eaten around. They were small, somewhat chopped pieces of bones that were dangerous to be served. They could have easily been swallowed. When I came here for the first time I thought I've found my place for authentic Pakistani food. But as I became a regular and tried different dishes I realized how wrong I was. They have renovated the place but have got downhill regarding the food. Even the restaurant area is not so clean and there's always food and stuff under the tables where the customers are supposed to have their meals. Disgusting. I can not even mention one food item that impressed me. Chicken tikka had a lot of color which even colored my fingers, nihari was tooooo salty, biryani was bland, chappli kabab was burnt and parathas didn't seem like parathas. Even the server never comes back to check on us once after taking the order. Plz management pay some attention to your quality of food n customer service. I have only had one lunch meal here - the thali. I can surely say their menu is reasonably priced but, the taste of the food is below average. The meats were indeed cooked to perfection but, the just wasn't great. Very controlled use of oil/fat which is another plus. I will update this as I try a couple more items. read more

I am more than impressed... we ordered our entree's.. and ordered more because it was amazingggg. we even had dessert and chai.. let me just say.. "epic chai" and "epic kheer" - their kheer and halwa (desserts) are amazing.... everything tastes great, very authentic and pakistani... and ridiculously cheap.. great deal for students or non students... you will see when you get there how full it is... the busy restaurant is a testament of a great place... its definitely worth the drive. thank you for finally having a great Pakistani style restaurant... took me forever to find u guys! This place is Halal, if Halal translates to terrible food. I knew this was going to be a bad experience after my first sip of the unfiltered tap water the waitress brought out. To get the taste of ecoli out of my mouth I ordered a mango lassi which proved to as flavorful as dish detergent with stevia. People often say, figuratively, 'this left a bad taste in my mouth,' this drink makes you say it literally. We just couldn't wait for our chicken tikka masala to come out, but that too proved to be disappointing. Our mouths had no refuge as we sipped the mango to get the chicken out of our mouths and then back to our sewer water. At the time of going here, this place was listed 5/5 stars on nearly every site we searched. I figured out why, as half way through the meal, the resutraunt because busier and busier. Every single person in the restaurant seemed as if this was their first indian food experience. It took nearly 10 minutes for the waitress to bring us the check after we asked for it. This is one of our favorite spots in the valley. I often crave their tikka masala fries. My husband and I both love the chicken tikka masala and chicken mahkni. My husband and I visited Curry Corner last weekend and were extremely disappointed. We often eat curry and have been to numerous Indian and Pakistani restaurants throughout the US and overseas and Curry Corner was by far the worst restaurant we've ever dined at. The food is mediocre at best and the service is extremely slow. We spent over 2 hours there and the majority of the time was spent waiting for our food. It took more than 10 minutes for the waiter to bring water! Not to mention we waited more than 45 minutes for our halwa to be brought to us (which by the way was pre-made and only had to be microwaved). While we were there we observed a family of 4 walk out and leave before their food had a chance to arrive. Additionally, we overheard a customer complain about the food, which was apparently so bad she wasn't even willing to try another item on the menu and wanted to pay and leave. If you prefer to spend your money at an establishment with poor food, below average service and questionable cleanliness then Curry Corner is probably the place for you. I personally will not be returning to this establishment and will caution friends and associates against it. read more

I've heard many good thing. Many. Many. Many. I want to thank you yelpers for helping me through the menu. Several of you mentioned the (Goat Karahi) and omg that was good. Fall off the bone meat with a spiciness that I loved. The boyfriend had the (Chicken Tikki Masala), he was done before I could get a bit, so that speaks for it self. For appetizer we had a the (Samosas) and (Tandoori Wings) and we pretty much inhaled both. Yeah inhaled. They took a bit longer to make due to the cooking process but definitely worth the wait. Service was good. Not great. She did the job while juggling seven other tables but I'm a server as well and she knew how to handle this restaurant. When the bill came, I choked a bit because I thought we got under charged. Nope. The food is amazing. It's nothing simple but it will leave you taking a to-go menu and craving more. We'll be back. This was GREAT Indian food. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and is definitely in a divey location, but wow. First off, order the fries with masala sauce. Seriously, trust me. They were double fried and so crispy they all but shattered when you looked at them, but doused in delicious sauce and feta cheese. I'm pretty sure I could have eaten that and called it an entire meal. The garlic naan wasn't as garlicky as I could have hoped, but it was tasty anyways. All of the rest of the food was delicious, and the service was friendly. Only thing I was missing was the little dish of spices on the way out the door. I decided to try this place based on my cravings for Indian food in addition to the yelp reviews. I've only tried the basic korma curry and samosas, but will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu...eventually. haha. The prices were decent and affordable for the college/family budget. I visited this place last night with a mate after otherwise unsuccessfully attempting to eat other places. I am glad, considering this place is great. We shared a vegetarian thali and samosas. It came with yogurt, gobi aloo, masoor dal, palak paneer, chana masala, onion, rice in the centre, and naan on the side. We asked for extra naan. Their naan was quite fluffy and thick compared to other places that I have eaten from, or especially when compared to grocery market purchased naan. All of it was very flavourful. I was really impressed with the spices on the chick peas, especially. Their palak paneer was a very smooth combination of the paneer and spinach flavours. The gobi aloo's identity eluded me at first because i had trouble figuring out that the cauliflower on top was upside down. The spices did not overpower the buttery nature of the cauliflower and were well accented with potato. Neither of us are onion fans, and both of us prefer our yoghurt sweet, so we took no liking to those small sides, although they were obviously less important than the curries. The masoor dal had an appealing milkiness to it. Their samosas were extremely good, with no lack in filling. There was nothing above mild spiciness on our plate, which was of no consequence to either of us as everything was hugely savory. As far as the eating environment inside, the place is quite small and it seems to be in an otherwise relatively suspicious lot. I found it cozy. They do not wait on you. The menu is right above the order window. They do bring out your food to you, so there is no need to pick it up. They will do take out. The staff are all very friendly. You serve yourself water from a small stand with cups and pitchers. The minimal decorations are pretty and not overbearing, although most of Curry Corner's atmosphere seems to come from its customers keeping the place busy. I ordered mango lassi on the way out. It is thicker than most I have had and instead of being blended with ice, it has ice cubes in it to chill it, but it was still delicious. It also lasted overnight in the fridge and still tasted good the next day. read more
