We had dinner here on a Thursday night and we were a party of 4. We were greeted by a LOUD burp coming from the kitchen area as we walked in...... We all looked at each other and were surprised to see that it came from one of the cooks.... The cashier was very friendly and greeted us. She gave us a moment to look over the menu and answered any questions we had. We all ordered separate. I ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala - White meat chicken, marinated in a tomato sauce with sautéed onions and bell peppers. 1 side of cucumber salad 1 garlic naan 1 fountain drink The food didn't take too long. It came out hot and everything looked and smelled really good. The chicken was tender and cooked well. My dish had plenty of chicken in it but my friend was upset hers didn't have as much. The garlic naan was my favorite. It was hot, flavorful, and big! I would go back just for that. The cucumber salad was also a hit. It was fresh and the cucumber had a nice crunch. The inside was clean but way too warm, after a while we were sweating it up :/ The workers uniforms were unique and they all looked well dressed.

This naan!! Huge order and so good

I have to admit my first reaction was, do we need drive through Indian food? Wait, its Phoenix, yes, we do! So convenient when its hot especially if you have pets in the car. I was craving Indian food and this was nearby, so there I went. You drive up to a large digital menu and speaker to order, as you expect at a drive through. I immediately noted how nice the person on the speaker was. He just sounded genuinely friendly. After ordering chicken tikka masala, mango lassi, and garlic naan, I drove forward to wait behind the car ahead of me. At this spot you can see inside a huge wall of windows to where employees were making fresh naan. Great to see the naan is legit! Periodically they'd look up and smile, like genuinely. It was my turn at the food/payment window, and once again the employee's genuine niceness was noticeable. I feel like they must treat employees well here, which absolutely makes me want to support this business. Drank some of my mango lassi on the way home. Delicious! But I'll admit I've never had a bad mango lassi. Got my food home and wow. Its hard to show in photos how much food this is. The entree and rice container is much deeper than it looks in pictures and is definitely 2-3 servings. The chicken in the tikka masala was moist and flavorful. I ordered 3 stars but will try 4 or 4 next time. The naan is a huge order, packed in a wrapping that kept it nice and hot. Its chewy and soft and absolutely delicious. Even if you don't like Indian food, just go get some naan. I hadn't planned to check this place out but I'm so glad I did. The customer service, food taste and value are all excellent. I will definitely be back.

Tikka (take a) drive over to Tikka Drive for some good eats. Stopped by because I saw it on Instagram. The first inaugural visit had us ordering chicken korma, chana masala, and garlic naan. Wow. Everything was amazing and flavorful. Definitely pop in here if you're not afraid of a little heat. If you have to question your spice tolerance, play it safe because this food bites back. I love it. Does it make me a masochist?

Tikka Fact: In South Asian cuisine, "Tikka" (derived from Persian) translates to "small pieces". It refers to bite-sized chunks of meat or vegetables that are marinated in spices and yogurt, then grilled. Popped in to order some dinner: Chicken Korma ($16.05 - Creamy, dreamy, and just a little sweet―this coconut-kissed curry is loaded with tender chicken, toasted cashews, and golden raisins): Their chicken korma is amazing. The perfect mouthfeel, a balance of flavors, and the chunks of chicken are huge! Get this if you can. At spice level two, it was perfect. I think the coconut milk helped cut the heat. Chana Masala ($15.95 - Vegan - Your choice of fresh veggies―potatoes, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, onions, or green bell peppers―pan-tossed with classic Indian spices): I had ordered this through the Yelp app via Door Dash so I didn't get the options of the fresh vegetables but the chickpea was good enough. At spice level two, it was a bit of a surprise. It was spicy! With a bite of rice, the spice was tolerable. If you're just eating this plain or with naan, it can build up but not unbearably so. Get the Raita on the side to help cool things off. Garlic Naan($3.75 - Fluffy naan kissed with fresh garlic, chopped cilantro, and melted butter): One piece of garlic naan is generous enough for two people. Good flavor, not as greasy and butteyr as other places, but I like that it's not soggy. Raita ($2.95 - 8 oz. - Cool, creamy yogurt blended with cucumber, herbs, and a hint of spice―perfect for taming the heat or adding a refreshing kick): The perfect accompaniment and saving grace to my spicy chana masala. I could eat this with naan all day long. Homemade Iced Tea (Brewed in-house with a hint of cardamom and cinnamon): The cardamom and cinnamon is subtle. It's not sweet so it's nice. Indian Lemonade (A bold twist on the classic--bright lemon, a splash of sugar, and a subtle kick of Indian spice. Naturally sweetened with monk fruit.): Described as "lemonade but a little weird" by Mike, you'll be fine passing on this.

Wow, what an amazing find! This is their first store, but amazingly well organized. The flavors were amazing. The Curry was filled with sweet aromas and savory fragrances. The garlic naan was fresh, as it is made in house daily. The drive thru even has a window that gives you a front row seat to see the naan making in action. Food (5/5): I had the tikka masala w/ basmati rice and garlic naan. To say this is one of the best I've had, would be accurate. You can taste all the different spices that is perfectly balanced with the rice. Service (5/5): The team looks like they work very well together and create such an inviting vibe. I was greeted promptly and ordering was very easy. Cost (5/5): For the portions you get, the prices are extremely well priced! Store (5/5): Very well laid out dining area with plenty of seating options. (High tops and tables). Very clean! Conveniences: They have a drive thru, they accept tap to pay.

Kept seeing this place pop up on social media, i love supporting small businesses so had to bring the fam for some dinner! When we arrived we were pretty much the only ones inside besides the staff ... which there was a lot lol They were friendly but one call out as a former business owner is to have the staff greet people as they come in with. Simple "welcome". It creates a nicer atmosphere than having to grab the attention from the staff to order. We ordered the food and I'm not sure if the guy taking the order was having an off day but my wife added the cucumber salad and then he never added it on and my wife had to remind him lol. Then I ordered 2 dishes but when it came out I guess they only put in 1. So we had to go back up and order the second dish. This is a huge opportunity to increase revenue by training staff on how to upsell and recommend more products for larger orders. The place was clean though and the food came out fast and hot! The dishes were full of flavor. I did wish they had more meat in each dish but in this economy, I understand I love the fact they don't use seed oils or artificial ingredients! I really like their mango lassi. One personal preference is I wish it was slightly colder with this heat. It was chilled but not COLD. Which could be how it's meant to Be and again, this is just a personal preference. The flavor was delicious and I love that they don't use refined sugar. The real star of the show is their naan bread! It was phenomenal!! At the end of the day, this is a fast food spot so don't expect a fine dining experience! But if you need a quick bite, definitely a good spot to check out.

Dipping the Garlic Naan in the creamy, delicious Butter Chicken!
    Joy J.

I am not a huge fan of Indian cuisine but only because most of their dishes are SPICY!!! lol I saw Tikka Drive pop up on Yelp and my mouth started drooling for the Butter Chicken. I had some leftovers I needed to finish first, but the pictures did me in and I went to satisfy my craving!! When I tell you this place is legit, it is LEGIT!! As in, you can see the employees in their awesome uniforms complete with head covers just like back in the days! I went to the drive-thru yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see they have a huge window where you can see them hard at work making fresh Naan Bread! Although their menu is limited, it has all of the basics you could want/need. I love that they offer 5 spice levels, so if you're like me and can't hang, go for the 1 or 2. I ordered 1 which is pretty much no spice. The Butter Chicken was so creamy and delicious! I think next time I'll try spice level 2 for a lil kick. I opted for the combo which includes a drink and Garlic Naan. I wanted the Mango Lassi so there was an extra $.75 upcharge for that. I do wish it was a bigger size! That drink was yummy!! The entrées all come with Basmati Rice. It didn't look like a lot, but honestly, I could have gotten 4 meals out of it. I was a lil piggy and ate it in 2 sittings, but I could have definitely stretched it out. My stomach was busting at the seams, but I couldn't help myself!! I actually wanted to go back again today, but I was able to fight off temptation. Next time, I'm going to try their Chicken Curry.. You can't and shouldn't sleep on the Garlic Naan. I might try the Butter Naan next visit. I hope this place gets all the hype because it was FIRE!!! They do have a dining room inside and one day I'll go in and enJOY my meal in there. Trust me on this one, guys! Tikka Drive is where it's at! The service was awesome and everyone seemed happy to be there. Gotta love it! The best part is, prices won't break the bank and they're open late til 10:30 pm daily. If your mouth starts to water as you read this, take it as your sign to GO. NOW!!! lol

Thoroughly enjoyed this new drive through and sit in tikka spot! Right off the bat I noticed a decent amount of seating and overall a clean environment with open windows and room to walk between tables. We ordered the tikka masala and butter chicken with the drink and naan. The service was super friendly and on top of things. The guy who I believe opened this place was talking to other people and really making it a friendly environment. He told us how he chose the food boxes to be the healthiest choice, free of PFAs and BPAs and with great space. He really thought this place out which was appreciated. The food was hot and delicious with large portions that were leftover for tomorrow in the containers they came in. The spice levels were pretty in point as I ordered a 1 and tried a 3. Something else to be aware of. Overall we loved our experience and can't wait to go back for some quick Indian food!

First timers and decided to go try them after seeing a few reviews. We discovered that they also have dining room seating as well as their drive through. We opted to go in and experience this place from the inside instead of just reviewing the menu and going through the drive through this time around...now we know and we'll be using the drive through going forward. Going forward? Oh yeah!!! We discovered some really wonderful and tasty Indian food and would highly recommend it. Love that they only have a few dishes to offer, chicken and vegetarian based. The dishes come with jasmine rice and if you order the combo, you also get your choice of naan and a drink. We had a difficult time deciding so we went for the gusto! Wife did the combo with Paneer Tikka Masala, butter naan, and the mango lassi. She likes heat so ordered it "medium" and it was really spicy for me but she loved it! I picked two different dishes, the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Butter Chicken; both came with rice and I also ordered the garlic naan on the side. Spice level 1 for both of those dishes and it was perfect. Their flavors are legit and so tasty. The whole place smells so good when you walk in as well! All of the dishes were cooked perfectly; the two chicken dishes included big chunks of moist chicken pieces and the naan...oh my gosh. First they are huge; cut in half for two pieces and were the perfect wrap for the chicken! The mango lassi was so delicious and creamy and thick...getting a large next time, LOL! Overall a great experience. Staff were friendly and helpful and it took no time for us to order and get our food. We took everything to go and loved the way the naan breads were wrapped up. Prices are reasonable for what you get and our total dinner that could have easily fed four people was $65. We WILL be back!

I am glad an Indian "fast food" drive through opened up close to my house.. I ordered the chicken curry and garlic naan.. I do say the portion is generous considering BUT I felt like the chicken curry needed more flavor.. I'll probably give the chicken curry itself 2.5 out of 5... I hope the tikka masala or the butter chicken tastes better.. maybe down the road I'll come back to try them if and when I need an Indian food fix..

This was my second time in. Anacely took my order and even came back to check in on me and my food. Chef JD delivered to my table and ensured I had everything in my order and anything else I needed. Chicken Tikka Masala spice level 2 was fantastic! Garlic Naan, to die for! Mango lassi was delish!! Just wished I was closer and could enjoy more often.

We made the drive from Central Phoenix to Chandler just to try this place! And it was well worth it. I had the Chana masala and my partner had the tikka masala. Both were so tasty! We also tried some of the drinks. I got an Arnold Palmer and my partner tried the lemonade. Both were super refreshing and had a unique twist! We each got garlic naan as well and we both swear it's the best we've ever had. And trust us, we've both eaten a lot of naan! We were really excited to sit inside and eat as we originally assumed the restaurant was drive-through only. It is a super clean, well-thought-out space. The service was amazing and the ordering was seamless. Multiple staff also checked on us as we ate, which was an incredible touch for a "fast food" restaurant! We will be back!!

This restaurant has drive through and traditional seating area. We chose to dine in. Ordered food at the counter and sat down. The restaurant is not big inside but very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Which was a huge plus. Sometimes people get annoyed when I ask too many questions. Here they did not have any problems answering my questions. Food came out fairly quickly. Chicken masala was full of flavor and done just right. Garlic naan was soft and fragrant. Indian lemonade was interesting flavor not too sweet and not too tangy. Mango lassi was very creamy and nice. Definitely will be back when I crave soul food.

However, when we came back so excited for more it was a weird experience here. We came at 5pm especially to try the banana Bajji listed as an option between 5pm-7pm only to be told it's not available. Then tried to order the Kara Kuzhambu with the lentil dumplings and told lentil dumplings not available anymore only okra/ eggplant option for this. The restaurant vibe felt really odd in general. We kind of felt like they weren't sure if they wanted to be open right now or something. The tables were not clean from lunch and they didn't get back to us when we asked questions. We decided to leave and come back another time given the great first experience. The next day, we decided to try again at lunch when the restaurant seems to do most of the business and I called to double check they have the Kara Kuzhambu with eggplant/ okra options just in case and two people seemed to have no idea what I am talking about. I spelled it, explained it's on the menu and it's a tamarind based curry- nothing. The dish I tried here before was very good and I really appreciate that their menu is marked for allergies and different diets. It seems to be very popular among Indian people and a fun cultural experience at weekend brunch/ lunch. However, the service felt really weird and unwelcoming this time and with the dishes listed on the menu but not being available it was a let down. The waiter told us the banana bajji and the lentil dumplings were discontinued completely so it was a bummer they are still listed on the menu. This confusing and unwelcoming exprience led to a big rating difference from me even though I really liked the food I tried in my first visit as well as the atmosphere. Still happy for that super fun first memory here though! My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

I've ordered several dishes here, but the Chicken Tikka Masala (pictured) is my go-to. I usually order it at a medium spice level, but if you're sensitive to spice, I'd recommend starting at a level 2 or 3. It comes with flavorful rice, and I always add an order of the garlic naan, which is the perfect complement. The vegetable samosas are also delicious and come with two dipping sauces that pair perfectly. The two women who usually help me, whether they're answering the phone or assisting me when I pick up my order are always incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly. Their excellent customer service makes every visit even better. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so there isn't a lot of indoor seating, but it's located in a shopping center with plenty of convenient parking. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food in Arizona, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I've been back multiple times, and it never disappoints.

I have gone there on my lunch break to just grab a cheap bite 3+ times at this point and we have had 3 dinners from here as well. Aside from the pricing, the food itself takes risks that pay off extremely well. I often find myself going to Indian spots in AZ and feeling like the flavors have been muted or toned down to be more palatable and enjoyable for all audiences. Chaat Express does not cater to the unseasoned tongue and everything you get here is bursting with amazing, authentic combinations of herbs and spices. The flavors are just indescribably good. When BOTH of a samosa's chutney sauces are delicious (and especially when the red sauce is not overly-sweet), you know you are in for a treat. Their curries are made with the same ideology: bold, flavor-forward, and delicious. In addition, their meats are always bafflingly tender. Whether you get their goat or chicken, it will be cooked perfectly. If you're not a meat-eater, their paneer is also great and the texture is exactly what you would want to expect. I've also had their lassi, rice, and naan. I really like the way they do their naan. It's buttery but not overly-buttered, and always very fresh. Their mango lassi is also perfectly sweet with just enough of a hint of that tanginess that it stands out on its own. And again, for $4 you cannot beat that value. TLDR: this place NEEDS to do well or I will lose my mind. please come here. i am begging you to not let this place flop

Visited on a Saturday noon - to our surprise, it was lunch hour and only one table was occupied…read more Not sure if it was because of the heat that people didnt step out.. but usually places tend to be a bit crowded, for being in a very decent location. Anyway, so we ordered samosas, pani puris for apps. Ordered a soda and a Gud vali chai. The server or owner, didn't look that of people's person - being in a service industry ideally one should be. That was a bit of a surprise for us. The apps came quick. The pani puri was missing flavor.. the samosas were amazing. The soda came in first, but for the chai, my husband had to ask 3 times. And it came in between our main course, which was not pleasing for sure. Maybe they are short on staff, there was just one other table occupied so wonder why the constant reminder for a cup of chai which usually comes first... We had put in the order for the mains. Chole Bhature and Puri Aloo sabji. Here's the kicker - we weren't served basic cutlery and napkins. When we asked the owner/server got it along with 2 plates and a snarky comment followed "the main course usually comes in a plate, so usually we dont serve it"... errr - we didnt really ask for a plate, it was just napkins and cutlery.. so mannerisms aside (which need to be highly fixed) --- the food - The food was good - it was different than what we usually get in AZ. The flavors were robust, different, not too rich to make you uncomfortable if you have errands to run post lunch and give you a carb crash. But just the perfect amount of richness. It's a decent place, nothing super fancy. You can walk in with shorts, a simple tee and have a meal and it'll be fine..Don't go expecting it's a fine dining place. I am giving it a 3/5 only because, while the food wtv little we tried (We did not try the non veg) so lesser points for that.. it was GOOD. As a hard core Foodie and loving all cuisines, I expect a lot more from indian cuisine. So the 3 points honestly is all towards the food. The rest, could be made up with the place being very very slow and sort of boring for a saturday afternoon... and the basic service industry mannerisms which need to be pulled up.
