Ordered a little bit of everything to get the full experience--and honestly, the rice stole the show. Fluffy, flavorful, and they don't skimp on portions. The crepe missed the mark--overcooked to the point of being burnt. I've definitely had better. That said, the sauces it came with were solid. I have no idea how I have lived in the erea for over 12years and have never been here. Was at the bin store and saw this place and I im so glad that we did. The restaurant was very clean. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the honey butter chicken marsala with cheese nan and my mother got a spinach cashew sauce with chicken I can not remember the name. Also got the garlic nan. Bolth of these dishes were amazing. You know that they make every dish fresh becasue took about 15min but it was well worth the wait. I also ordered one of their curry/ marsala tea. Iv never has anything like it. Was verry good. Would definitely ordered the drink agen. The staff was on it. Checked on us multiple times making sure our dinning experience was top notch. 5 out of 5. Their menu is expansive and they offer many vegetarian, seafood and chicken dishes including a wide variety of curries. Kept it kinda basic and ordered the honey butter masala with chicken and it was 10/10 the medium spice level provided just the right balance of rich spices, flavors and a kick! This restaurant was so excellent in every single way. First and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious, well spiced, complex and interesting. What drew me here is the specialization in Tamil Nadu regional cuisine. My husband and I started with the Kothu parotta, a popular South Indian street food, in Tamil Nadu, made by shredding and stir-frying flaky parottas with spices, onions, tomatoes and ordered it at the highest spice level. We were the first customers at the restaurant and it took a little while to prepare and as soon as it came out we knew it would be good. It was clearly so fresh. It had so many flavors in it and I loved the flavors together with the curry leaves on top. Both my husband and I LOVED the texture of the dish. The texture and the banana leaf on the plate reminded us a little of Puerto Rican Pasteles in banana leaves which we love. I have been craving this Kothu Parotta for the past 6 days since having it! It came with salna- a side sauce also typical in Tamil Nadu. I enjoyed pouring it on the Kothu parotta. They also serve flakey Parotta that's not shredded and stir fried with spices but just served with the salna side sauce. But for our second dish we wanted to try something different and went with the Pan Roast Eggplant Masala, also at the highest spice level. The eggplant masala dish came out quicker than the first dish but was also clearly very fresh and done so perfectly. The eggplant was cooked so well, with a char flavor outside and perfect softness inside and the sauce was so delicious. The highest spice level for this dish was less spicy than the prior but super flavorful regardless. The place got filled up fast by this time. To end our meal we ordered the Sukku Coffee, which doesn't actually have coffee. It is a caffeine-free herbal drink, more like tea made from ginger (sukku), coriander seeds , black pepper and a sweetner. The drink is naturally dairy free. It took a long time for it to come out but given the freshness of everything we realized that just means they are making it completely form scratch on the spot- and when we tasted it we knew we were right- it was clear the ginger and spices were processed to order. It was served hot and was delicious, very ginger forward. Beyond the food, the service was attentive, the staff smiled at us a few times which felt nice, the place felt very clean with a clean bathroom. I really can't wait to go back and try more here and will absulutly proiritze this at future visits in Phoenix. I don't typically repeat restaurants when visiting cities I don't live in unless I find them to be very special and find that they enrich me with new expriences and cuisines I haven't tried. All of the dishes we tried were naturally egg free and dairy free and the restaurant was very good at communicating regarding this both by Instagram before the visit and during the visit so I definitely would recommend this place for vegan, vegetarian etc. I tend to reserve 5 stars for a limited amount of places but this place is an easy 5 star for me. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Attention: Owner I am writing to bring a serious issue regarding customer service to your attention. We have ordered from your restaurant a couple of times in the past, always enjoying the food, and the front desk staff who previously took our orders were always polite and respectful. However, our experience today was completely unacceptable. The last time we ordered the Thalapakatti Mutton Biryani, it had very little meat--mostly just a few bones, but lots of rice--and the taste was not up to your usual standard. Today, my wife called to order a few vegetarian items and the Thalapakatti Mutton Biryani again. She very politely mentioned to the person taking the order that our last biryani did not have enough meat, and she kindly asked if he could remind the chef to ensure a proper portion this time. Instead of accommodating her simple request, the employee became incredibly rude. He refused to take her order, stating that if we didn't like it, we shouldn't order from there. My wife kept trying to explain that we actually like your food, but we were just disappointed by the lack of meat and the excess of bones last time. He stubbornly repeated that we didn't need to order. When my wife told him he was being completely unprofessional and refusing to listen, she asked to speak to the owner or a manager. He replied in a highly sarcastic, rude tone, stating, "I am the manager." My wife told him that if he is a manager, he needs to learn how to speak to customers respectfully and professionally. We also run a highly rated business, and I would never allow a our staff to disrespect customers, shout over the phone, or completely ignore a customer's legitimate concerns. I am deeply shocked that this is how you train your employees to treat loyal customers. His attitude was essentially: "We have great reviews, so if you don't like it, don't order from us," rather than trying to resolve a simple issue. It is a true shame to have a manager like this representing your business when people actually enjoy your food. I hope you will address this matter. read more

We ordered the masala dosa (they very kindly split the batter so that we could have two), the Chetinnad chicken curry and the Rogan Josh. Everything tasted amazing! No notes. By far the best Indian restaurant I have tried in AZ! We got everything with mild spice and it was the perfect combination of heat and taste. The staff were attentive and the portions were generous. Food portions are share able sizes and everything we ordered was delicious. The Tandoori chicken takes a little while longer to cook ~20 min, but we'll worth it with a good longer marinade making every bite flavorful. The staff were also nice, and I believe it was the owner and staff that checked in on us to check if the food was to our liking. Indian restaurant located in Mesa. We took takeout. Dining room is small and simply decorated. Not a lot of fancy decor. Food was prepared quickly. Packaging was good. I thought the malai kofta were good but a bit big and dry and the palak paneer was tasty and not too thin. The aloo gobi was tasty but a little oily. Biggest complaint was the garlic naan appeared to be made with jarlic and not fresh garlic. I will probably try them again because the restaurant is quite close to my work. read more

Everything about this place and my experience was a 10. The food was made to order and the wait time for it was quick. My friend and I ordered samosa appetizer and the masala fries. Samosa was super good we took that home and ate it as leftovers. The masala fries were crispy and had a nice flavor. For our entrees we ordered the honey butter chicken masala the flavor was outstanding and unique, then the aloo gobi and both were medium heat which was good. It's been a very long time to see such a wide varieties of menu from down south of Tamilnadu . Not only the menu but the taste as well. The chef's from Nagercoil has brought out the flavors of Salna, parotta ( very happy to taste a handmade) , kothu parotta , mutta lappa ( 6 yrs before ate in India) , the most tastiest and flavorful Mutton thalapakatu briyani, juicy chicken 65. You can for sure go here for that authentic tasty down south of Tamilnadu Seeraga samba Briyani which you rarely get it in anywhere in Arizona and the Salna which elevates the taste of any parotta dishes it accompanies . The idiyapam and mutton stew is delicious as well. The Noodles we ordered bring our memory of our street food taste in Chennai . Kudos to the Pavan who is very detail in helping to pick the order and Surendar a lovely owner to go every desk and take a personal care. Loved the sambar! Masala dosa was very good, I could have used chopped bits of curry leaf as well as it mashed up in the masala. Masala fries were good but I thought it could have been spicier (to be fair though, I'm comparing it to masala fries I had in Mumbai). Definitely recommend giving this place a try! We decided to try this place on a Friday evening. Let me begin by saying the food is delicious and authentic. We ordered medu wada and onion pakora- both were as good as ones we make at home or in some of the best Indian restaurants in India. For entree we ordered the veg version of the chettinad curry - this was truly delicious and authentic and brought back memories of my travels in S India. We also got the veg biryani and a masala dosa. All of them were really good. Highly recommended is you are into good S Indian food. I ll be visiting many more times read more
