Thank Jesus for Indians! This food is legit. The people are legit. This is the only authentic Indian food in the state as far as I know. No frills-nothing fancy-just quick order up front and take out or sit down. Not so spicy your face melts but so so good. I actually could go a bit spicier. What a disappointment! $9.00 got me a huge pile of flavorless "yellow" (saffron) rice, two pitiful scoops of vegetable korma, and a single piece of garlic naan (which was pretty good but, at $3 per piece, ridiculously overpriced). Two-thirds of the items on offer were unlabeled (and mostly unrecognizable), and the employees were unable to answer the most basic questions about the food. ("What is that?" "Spicy chicken curry." Too much chilly powder heat in pretty much all the dishes we ordered ! Couldn't eat a single bite of malai kofta as the sauce color showed a preview to how hot the dish was! I had the malai kofta level 4/5 spice. The spice level was higher than some other places (which is fine with me, I love spice.) Just be aware and be conservation with your "spice level" if you don't want super spicy food. The malai flavor was okay, but the kofta did not do it for me... it was over-spiced, dark and mushy in the middle... a gritty seasoning texture overall instead of a light-on-the-inside, fried-on-the-outside vegetable dumpling. The place smelled good and I would recommend trying a different dish. The menu is large so maybe I just didn't find "my dish" here. I love Indian food but tonight was not great. read more

Curry Express became my favorite resaurant the first time I tried it! They always have excellent vegetarian options, never boring like some places who think vegetarians apparently like bland food! They recently expanded their menu to include made to order options and although I love their quick buffet this takes Curry Express to another level. read more

Coming from CA I feel like I have tried some amazing Indian fare. Curry Express is not incredible but it is really good. I enjoy the butter paneer masala as well as the paneer and peas. They don't always have the same stuff but if the owner is in he can sometimes make what is not already out for the day. The staff is always friendly and the price is fair. One i do not like to be lied to. I am not rating the other food because i didnt buy anything except gulab jamun. My hisband called and ask if they had fresh gulab jamun n she said yes. Then when i got there, it was pretty expensive plus freezer cold and i have eaten enough gulab jamun to know that it comes from a can n not made from scratch. So i called and ask her and she said they make it n freeze it. Bullshit! I dont see why people just cant be honest.
