Fast casual/communal dining similar to Chipotle but with soups. Five varieties you can order either a cup or bowl. We went right for the jambalaya however. Comes with chicken, shrimp and anduille(?) sausage. You add fixings like chopped jalapenos, corn salsa, cheese, spinach etc. the bowl isn't quite big enough to share but we weren't super hungry after the downtown Christmas stroll so it hit the spot.

Santa Fe (10/10) with Beef

Casual campus-style seating with a beer and game bar. Items ordered: Santa Fe (beef steak) (10/10), Wrap of Khan (shrimp) (9/10) (2 eater, total $24) Food: very tasty, American fusion of Mexican food. Seating: Outdoor and Interior (roomy) Restroom: Clean and available. Parking: not adjacent, but near and available. Price: very reasonable.

The soup and food was warm 3 stars. Not hot . However great dog friendly patio outside and very friendly staff. 5 stars

No wonder our neighbors left most of their nachos...

Decided to try some food when popping in to check out Shine Beer Sanctuary. Decided on the pork Chile verde nachos and some chicken street tacos. It's set up like a subway where you choose your toppings. We chose a few and were very surprised when we were presented with cold chips and the few toppings we chose along the way, including the still cold shredded cheese. We asked if there was an option to heat and melt the cheese, as we are accustomed to nachos with hot melty cheese, like the rest of humanity. We also requested queso upon noticing there was no meltiness or deliciousness about these cold chips. Even after this addition of cheese sauce we had to ask them to melt the cold shredded cheese. The tacos were 100% cold as well! We decided against beers after noting the $7-8 price per pint! Would not recommend.

I came in here for the first time since they've remodeled and combined restaurants. You walk in and go around the corner to order. Food is made as you order and pay so you have it immediately when you're leaving the register. They have open seating with long tables and benches. You can also grab a beer/sour/cider from Shine Beer Sanctuary. It is has a relaxed, friendly environment. You can get food and a drink, or just grab a drink and play some games. Their selection of food is more burritos/bowls, soups, and salads. Prices were fitting to what I would expect around Bozeman. I got the Backwater Bayou in a bowl--the fish was really delicious but next time I'll either try it as a burrito or fish tacos.

looks like a burrito, tastes nothing like one. *sad face*

$22 for chips, queso, and guac. These millennial taco places need to be eradicated. They were good but not THAT good. Sheesh.

Bad customer service. First time here and experienced super rude and dismissive burrito bar staff. Not impressed.

We love the wrap of Kahn, The Bombay and the Backwater Bayou but the Caesar salad with wild salmon is so good too!

I know Tex-Mex is literally Americanized Mexican, but this feels more on the American side than…read moreMexican. The flavors are more bland, although that works well with one of the gals in my friend group who feels regular Doritos are too spicy for her, and she really liked this place and says it's the only Mexican place she'll eat at. The service is pretty decent. I've eaten here 3 times now, once with family and twice with friends for happy hour. They feel overpriced for the quality and quantity, even by Bozeman standards. The beans, rice, salsa, queso, and meat remind me of a ready-made Mexican meals/ sides in the refrigerated section of a grocery store, so good in a pinch, but not great and needs to be doctored (by adding salt, salsa, etc., to everything). The veggie components are better and fresh tasting. I think in the future if ordering a regular plate, I won't pay the $6 - $10+ upcharge to add meat because it's a little sparse and usually overly charred. The chips are above average and the salsa is average. The margaritas are good+ especially for $5 happy hour, and happy hour also comes with discounts on some of the foods too, especially if you go on ones of the days like B1G1 Fajita Monday or Taco Tuesday where things like tacos are cheaper. I personally think hitting one of the local Mexican food trucks comes with much better flavor at 60% of the price, but I will admit the ambiance of this place is a ton of fun so it's good for a sit-down place and for after-work drinks. Very vibrant colors and lots of light, and like the table and bar arrangement for the most part, with cheery people in a good location. I probably wouldn't go back for anything other than a quick happy hour on a weekday with friends or maybe on one of the discount days if we happen to be in the area anyway. Out of 5 stars: Food=2.5 stars (good if you have friends who are pickier and like less spice/ more Americanized Mexican food) Happy hour=3.5 stars (small selection but decent) Daily Specials=4 stars -- some better than others; a good time to try when the food/ drink is cheaper Service=4 stars Ambiance and Margaritas=4.5 stars
