Everyone was very warm and understanding. The doctors were very patient and listened. The nurses were the same. I actually had a favorite nurse, Ani. I had to stay for a couple of days so I did see a rotation of staff, Very happy with the way I was treated. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks I had to return for more care. I was greeted like an old friend. Gold Beach Hospital has what we refer to as 1950 small town charm.

This geography and location really helped preserve my sanity. On my work days, I provided VIP service to all patients I took care of. I knew this was a tiny hospital and I would probably work alone. That's fine, but I expect adequate equipment and a safe working environment free of disrespect. Bonus if the manager was more supportive and true to his word. Sadly, there will always be a high attrition rate. Staff and travelers would stay longer if they were valued.

I was treated with dignity and concern and she was able to answer all my questions, taking time to explain lung function and what does and does not target solutions. I have seen three Urgent Care doctors this month for the same problem, only to be given a new RX and sent on my way quickly. Dr. Schwartz is not only intelligent, but wise as well- and that's what patients need- not just the obligatory twelve minutes and send you out the door. It takes wisdom as well as intelligence to fully help a patient with a chronic condition, so thank you Dr. Schwartz for taking real time in assessing my problems and giving me solutions. The care goes beyond the care we have had in large cities where we have resided. The diagnosis and treatments were spot on and we were seen in a timely manner whether there were many people or not. We are grateful for this facility so close and the specialty care that has been added in the last few years: orthopedics, sleep center, and connection to the patient charting system used all over Oregon called EPIC. With the addition of two oncologists, one a resident, and the new Infusion Facility in Gold Beach will save lives and reduce the burden and costs of travel for cancer care. Karen C.

The room was comfortable, clean , warm, well Set up, quiet . The doctors were professional , thorough, direct . And the support staff from maintenance to the food service staff were friendly and helpful. The food was actually good . I just had meatloaf lunch that except for the gravy mix would be something I would make . I ate fish for dinner last night and it was good. I am tall and the staff were able to make my bed longer so I was not cramped . And I was given extra pillows when I asked . Which site helped . I will say if you want to not be bored download your own shows before coming ( no streaming on their network) . But that is pretty much my only downside. I am happy to be going home now , but being here has been comfortable and made me feel better.

Prior to attending the Sutter Coast Community Clinic today, my husband called in advance and…read moreconfirmed the walk in clinic was accepting patients until 4:30 pm . I'm an essential worker who lives 25 miles away. As soon as I was able to leave work, I raced against the clock and walked in the clinic's door at 4:29 pm. The front office staff spent 5 minutes determining what paperwork I would need to complete and whether I would be seen. I was finally told that I couldn't be seen "today," because I arrived after 4:30 pm. It was 4:35 pm. I corrected the staff person (I walked in the door prior to 4:30 pm) and was then told I couldn't be seen because my paperwork work couldn't be completed before 4:45 pm, and the person I would be seeing had to leave by 5:00 pm -- ah, the truth comes out. I was then told I would need to come back Monday. I bit my tongue and left. Fast forward 9 hours to 1:40 am. My sinus health was rapidly declining, so I went to Curry Medical ER. I was treated rapidly with compassion, competency, and incredible professionalism... for frontal sinusitis. Oh did I fail to mention, the folks at Sutter's ENT clinic tried to convince me that my symptoms "probably aren't a sinus" problem, since they couldn't be bothered to treat me? Save your time, money, energy, and sanity by avoiding the Sutter Community Clinic and go to Curry Medical, Coos Bay, or Medford. If you're reading this review, you've probably read other reviews regarding poor service at this clinic. Things were sub par prior to the pandemic. They certainly haven't improved. BTW Sutter Coast Community Clinic, it only took 10 minutes at Curry ER to do the job you should have done -- you would have been done by 5:00 pm and you would have made additional $.
