My hotel was right next door and it was a no brainer. Absolutely love the amount of flavor in their food. I ordered the Palak chicken with a side of Chutney Mint. Came out in a flash and screaming hot. Boy, was I excited. Served with a complimentary side of rice. Perfect portion for lunch serving. The chicken was juicy and delicious and I believe it had a garnish of lemon grass. They offer a free sample to snack on while you order and wait. The server was friendly and attentive. Just look at that spinach sauce in my photo. I also ordered the ice cream with Gulab Jamun. My only negative about the dessert is I wish I got an additional ball but it was delicious! I will definitely be back when I'm in Vancouver.

Wanted something different for dinner so we decided to try Curry Hut. Service was good and the food came quickly. We really liked everything we ordered. If in Vancouver give them a try. You will not be disappointed. I would usually minus a star because I ordered mild curry and it was quite hot for my liking BUT it was so tasty I still ate all of it... I just had to stop for water breaks. Lol

Prawn coconut curry & garlic naan.

The prawn coconut curry was phenomenal. It was just the right amount of spicy and savory. The garlic naan was pretty amazing also. My son got the chicken tikka masala and really enjoyed it. The service was okay. We were seated immediately and the food came out very quickly. However, not once did anyone come to ask if we needed refills or anything else.

The Curry Hut serves the best Indian curry I've ever had. The curry was very smooth and didn't have a grainy texture that's found in many Indian restaurants. We ordered the Lamb Curry and Butter Chicken lunch combos. The butter chicken had amazing flavor. The portions were very generous for a lunch serving. They have complimentary chips and chutney that were very flavorful as well. The service was amazing and friendly. If you're in downtown Vancouver, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Butter chicken curry, rice, garlic naan. Sweet spicy fries.

Loved the curry. Loved the sweet spicy fries. Garlic naan was great. Customer service also great. Good space, felt a little bland but not much of a concern to me. Would come here again.

Chicken Korma. It was absolutely delicious.

I would also describe the food as modern since there are some cool fusion dishes such as the mango burrata (I didn't end up ordering this but I wish I did!) I love lamb biryanis and this place has the most colorful and aesthetic lamb biryani I've ever seen. The samosas were also plated with a lot of creativity and artistic touches. Overall the food was very flavorful. I'm already thinking about my next bowl of biryani!

I want to start this review by giving a big shoutout to Pemba who was our server, he was so kind and took such good care of us and recommended really good items based on what we wanted. Everything I tried from here was 10/10! Some stand out items - :: Bombay pomfret fry - OH! The masala and coating on this was sooo good we were sucking on the bones till the very end. Such a great appetizer! :: Lasooni palak burrata - I was a little apprehensive about this at first because burrata and palak didn't seem like something I would want to try but I was wrong! This was one of my favourite dishes. It was such a delicious fusion item. For dessert, I would recommend getting their soan papdi malai khwaab and their malai ghewar. Not too sweet, just perfect. For drinks, aam pana with gin is the way to go. I really cannot wait to come back and order everything again!

We were staying at the Marriott around the corner and the reviews were solid and since both Canada (and Vancouver) and India were once British colonies, we figured Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill had to provide a good representation of Indian fare by proxy, right? And it sure was. All four of us were so happy with everything we ordered. I ordered the set menu with mutton curry, rice, daal, raita and some veggies. I love full-flavored things and I love mutton (older lamb) and you can't find it at most places. This curry was amazing. The wife and Son of Tiki Dave ordered Chicken Tika Masala and Chicken Tandoori. The girl ordered Chicken Teriyaki. WHAT?? But she loved it. Ambience was lovely; service was excellent. We also ordered two orders of Garlic Naan which was probably too much but delicious. We had LOTS of leftovers and dang it, I made certain to finish them off and did on the way to the airport the next day! TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS highly highly recommends Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill! I will be making a video of our experience that day and will be uploading it here! However it is not focused and instead provides a little bit of the region for everyone (Nepal, China, India, Pakistani influences). Came in for lunch on a weekday. Quickly seated and tended to by the staff. Interior is more of a diner scene than nice cafe. Bathrooms are gender neutral and clean but not nice. Here's my three things: 1) I got a lunch special featuring fish peckora, and tandoor chicken. Good flavor but missed on the real spice flavors. Veg salad was sour and worked with the rest of the plate. 2) These folks can make some NAAN! The Naan stole the show. Sweet, salty and crisp. 3) Price wise you can fill up and have a drink for $25-30CAN.
