Forgot what this was called, but it was delicious

I saw the mixed reviews on this place and decided to give it a try with my husband. It was the BEST decision EVER! I am a fan of flavor-forward establishments that aren't shy of using an array of spices. The food was bursting with flavor and the dishes were all homemade with love. My palate was definitely pleased and intrigued at the same time. The service was top notch. Both the cashier and the cook staff were very attentive to my questions about the ingredients I needed to stay away from and they were very meticulous about ensuring that my order fit my dietary restrictions. (I am vegan, gluten free for food allergies). The location is not what I expected (inside a small supermarket) but I am a sucker for an adventure in a hole-in-the-wall eatery. I don't need fine dining, just fine service and that is what I received, so that checked all the boxes for me. I found someone's posted photos online of an old menu that helped me see some posted allergens. I didn't not see one in the cafe, just a sign. I think more details on allergens can be found online on Yelp or Google reviews (or just ask..they are friendly).

Very slow service. Took half an hour for a small samosa order. It was a little dirty and stuffy area and seating too. Dhokla was stale and sour. Wouldn't recommend.

I quite enjoyed the chaats - I didn't try anything else on the menu but appreciated the self order system and food was prepared quite rapidly.

This eatery is actually more of a small section inside of an Indian grocery store and not a true "restaurant" on its own. Great thing about that is you can save some cash on tipping because it is mainly a casual self-serve eatery after they being you your meal! They only offer vegetarian meals, but the food I tried was delicious and you won't miss not having meat at all! The taste of all the food I tried was seriously great, but portion was small compared to other places in Austin. You could eat until you're full at an Indian buffet for less. That was basically my only complaint. It's not expensive at all, but you expect a larger portion for the price because it's Texas! One thing to note: weekends are more expensive than during the week for some reason. There's about a 25% discount if you go on a weekday as opposed to a weekend. With the discount, I would absolutely recommend going there for a meal during the week!

Food :4.5/5 Ordered special thali. Samosa, 3 rotis, rice, paneer masala, dal(lentils), black chana, eggplant with potatoes and rasgulla as a sweet. Tasted well. Seasoning proper and quantity good enough even you're too much hungry. Grocery store is small but you'll get everything you want.

I've been coming here for years. Today was awful. I ordered tiki chaat. I got a bowl of cold mushy stuff. Not what I've had I. The past. Both pictured below. The nice one was from my last visit. The soupy one was today. Additionally it took 20 minutes to get my food and no one else was in the restaurant area.

Cute little restaurant nestled into an Indian grocery. Decent service & good vegetarian food!

Was a regular for couple of months but service has quickly gone down. Wait time on weekends even when they are not running full us more than 40 mins for a simple chat. When they started, they were flexible around what's serves in the Thali but now the great options of the Thali get over fast and they are not flexible around any replacements. After we ordered, there were customers waiting at the counter to order for more than 20 minutes. Eventually some left frustrated with the wait time to order itself. While give them a try once more, but we prepared for wait times here!!

Bhel or Upma. Who can guess?

Service is super slow (ironic for something called Curry in Hurry). Guy taking orders is easily confused. Lots of hungry peeps waiting. Idli was cold and dry, chutneys were rancid. Not coming back

Food here is very authentic in taste. Dining area is clean. They are flexible to let you choose curries in the thali. They have wide variety of snacks and curries.

Delicious curries to carry out anytime of the day. Amazing samosas and chat. Must visit for vegetarian and vegan food options.

Ive passed by this place 100 times and I'm so happy I finally stopped by for lunch. I had the mutter paneer, Chhole masala and the Spinach dal. It was bomb!!!

It has a nice crunch from the fried dough and other fresh ingredients cut through the richness of the dough. Pani puri comes with a good portion of radha and chutney. The chutney is a bit salty in my experience. Would've been better if it was a bit more on the tangy and minty side. This food truck uses red onion in their food, which makes you not have strong onion breath. Rose falooda is creamy and delicious. The ice cream in there is more like icy, not the traditional ice cream texture. It has lots of toppings, such as dried fruit, slivered almonds, chopped pistachio, and basil seeds. The crunch from nuts and basil seeds, the sweetness from dried fruit, the slight tang from dried raisin, the creaminess of milk and the aroma of rose combined in a perfect sweet treat. There're several tables and benches but no umbrellas, so it'll be really hot to eat there in Texas summer. Service is efficient and food comes out very fast.

Out of all the places nearby, Sangam stands out the most to me. This place is ALWAYS busy from open to close, every day of the week, and after eating here for years, it's easy to understand why. You can literally smell the fresh curries from the nearby HEB. The aroma alone makes you hungry. We've been coming since they first opened, and it's been great watching them continue to improve and expand the restaurant over time. The staff is attentive, friendly, and constantly checking in to help with orders or anything else you need. We've tried a huge variety of dishes over the years. Several curry's such as the Chettinad special curry, butter chicken, tikka masala, chicken 65, several biryanis, all consistently delicious. One of my personal favorites is the plain dosa and curry combo, which comes with four different chutneys that are all fantastic. Even my young son loves coming here because they have things like shrimp noodles and fried rice that are kid friendly while still tasting great. We used to mostly order to-go, but lately we've started dining in more often because the experience itself is so enjoyable. Service is quick, the atmosphere is comfortable, and I really appreciate the details. The artwork and photos on the walls, the music, and the lighting that isn't overly bright. They even dim it more in the evenings, which makes it feel even more relaxed and welcoming. Every visit has been a great experience for our family. Easily one of our favorite restaurants in the area.
