This place is awesome. I've liked every visit and each time great meals. Weather it's dinning in or take out, it's been always been good. I get their mild and it's pretty hot to me. But an enjoyable hot. Flavors are always there. No complaints. The staff is always super nice and their services are great. The place isn't small but not huge either. Nice atmosphere and clean.

I'm a little bit confused how best to rate this place - is it 3 or 4 stars? Because, their portion sizes are unbelievably tiny -- and it's worse when compared to the higher-than-average prices they're charging. But the flavors of the food are amazing. The alu tikki was particularly note worthy. I hope management will take notice of this feedback. You can charge a bit extra if you're delivering quality, but you can't disappoint customers by serving just two bites per appetizer. I also think their takeout order was a lot smaller than their dine-in portions. That is even more disappointing because you don't realize it until you're home how little food they gave. We paid about $30 for 3 appetizers but it wasn't even enough for 2 people to share as a satisfying pre-dinner round. Add: I'm even more disappointed with the business owner's response. You can look on their website and the Gobi Manchurian is $9.99 - it was 6 quarter-sized pieces, Paneer Pakoda is $6.99 and was two bite-sized pieces, and the Alu Tikki is $4.99 and I've shared the photo. They have 21 appetizers on their menu - only 6 of them are $5 or below. I wish the response wasn't so defensive and sarcastic - I had hoped to give them another try but likely won't at this point.

I've been here quite a few times now and always had a good experience! The service has been efficient and friendly each time I've come. I've yet to see them half full regardless of when I've gone, so I wouldn't expect a wait. Their menu is quite big, usually for an Indian/nepalese place I would lean towards the Nepalese food, since it tends to be their specialty. However I've found their strength to be more in the Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes. The chili chicken in particular is one of my go tos. I've always enjoyed the Nepalese dishes when I've tried them, but the serving sizes are quite a bit smaller and come at a higher price. I'd probably recommend looking elsewhere if you want Nepalese specifically. Overall, very solid spot with good portions and reasonable prices if you're looking for a south Asian spot in the area

First time here based on a friend's recommendation. Restaurant was clean. , staff very attentive and professional. I went with the chicken curry. Was very good. Came with basmati rice. I had the medium curry, it was quite spicy! Overall a good experience. Would recommend.

I first went to Yelp and look at the reviews of Curry Kitchen before ordering UberEATS delivery. I saw there were highly reviews so i thought, I will give it a try! I had order for my family the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken Butter,, Veggie samosas, pani puri, and naan. There was a deal on UberEATS for buy one get one free for Butter chicken, pani puri, and naan which I thought wow, I've never seen this offer at an Indian restaurant before. Was excited that I didn't have to cook for the rest of the week to enjoy the food but.... when I tried the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken it was oddly sweet and severely bland. The sauce was super watery and you can't taste any of the traditional indian spices. It was lacking spices which is very old for Indian food because the cuisine is known for its spices and bold flavors. Chicken in both dish was super dry and tough like the chicken was over cooked to the point of no return. The basmati rice as ok. The veggie samosas were seasoned but it was an ok samosa not the best one I ever had. The samosas paired with their two sauce was ok. The sauces once again was super watery. The pani puri was crispy and packed well but the potatoes mixture was very bland and under seasoned. It needed more spices. The water sauce was ok and one note with a little heat. The naan was super chewy and tough. It was rough to eat. We did not enjoy any of the dishes we ordered. Overall with the food quality, cookery, and lacking in seasonings, I sadly can't recommend this place base on my take out order experience.

SO GOOD. It's been a while since I've had some good chicken tikka masala + on a random rainy day, I had a craving for it. Many places in the area with scary reviews so I just went with this place + very grateful I did. I asked for my chicken tikka masala to be spicy + they delivered! the garlic naan was so moist and flavorful. I enjoyed my meal so much that I order biryani then next day! The biryani wasn't spectacular like the chicken tikka masala but I still enjoyed it. Great portion sizes. They advertise cooking classes! I am inclined to attend ones after eating here.

A hidden gem located towards the back near the Cinemark theaters. We got to try a few dishes here and all have been delicious. The food always comes out fresh, hot, and flavorful. They have a big selection of various items but my go-to is their selection of curries (eg. chicken korma). The chili naan is my favorite and pairs well with the curry. I also love their complimentary appetizer with the trio of sauces. Mango lassi is also superb and a perfect pairing with your meal. Happy to support a local business and the service have been friendly and attentive so far. Definitely my go-to local Indian spot for now.

The restaurant is very clean. The service is ok. I was at the front door for about 10 mins before I just seated myself. A staff member walked by and never said anything, so I just seat down myself. I had the Chicken Chana Masala. It was ok. Not enough flavor that I am use to at other places, but it was still good.

Fining halal momos is always a blessing so I was really happy to visit this place. We tried the veg and chicken steamed momos as well as the chili momos and all of them were juicy, packed with flavor and exceptional. Garlic naan was basic and fine but the disappointment was the hot and sour soup my sister ordered. It didn't taste like the usual indo chinese spicy tangy concoction with crunchy noodle bits on top, instead it was mouth burning spicy and when we requested if something could be done since it wasn't edible they said no it's meant to be that spicy...? It was spicier than what we even get in india! Service was also quite slow but other than that everything was fine, parking was easy to find and space looked clean.

Just discovered this place and was glad to find another Indian restaurant in Pflugerville. Nestled in a small plaza next to the Cinemark, they're currently offering dine in and takeout. We ordered the Goat Curry, Saag Paneer, and garlic naan as takeout. We arrived at the restaurant at the estimated time, but had to wait another 10-15 minutes. Also noticed that a lot of the tables, although empty, were not cleared, so maybe they were just low on staff that day. The goat curry was super good and the bone-in goat was really tender. A lot of meat with a nice amount of fat and collagen. The saag paneer was also delicious with the right texture. You can taste the spinach really well and feel the cheesy texture in the paneer, much more than at other places. The naan was on the fluffy side as opposed to thin and crispy, which was good for us as the fluffiness matches our personal preference. Definitely a quality Indian place and while there are many equally great Indian restaurants, Curry Kitchen could easily become our new go-to spot due to its location.

Cute restaurant with simple decoration. Food speak volumes for itself. Soooo good!

Is the tikka masala SPICY? If not, can I make it spicy?

Tikka masala is not typically spicy but you can order any dish at the spice level of your choice.

Is your naan made from scratch and in a real tandoor? I haven't found any restaurant in Austin with good naan.

Yes ,our Naan is real from scratch. Thanks

The catfish and fried items weren't greasy, rancid, or carrying that old-oil taste that ruins a meal. For a place centered around fried food, that's important. Beyond that, the experience was pretty underwhelming. The food was bland and forgettable, cafeteria-quality at best. The salad bar was sparse with limited choices, and nearly everything being served on Styrofoam makes the entire place feel cheap and dated. Service was adequate but nothing memorable. Nobody was rude, but there wasn't much attention to detail or hospitality either. What really stood out was the condition of the facility. The restroom looked neglected, and the sink was partially detached from the wall. When customers see maintenance issues that obvious, it raises questions about the overall upkeep of the restaurant. I don't expect fine dining from a catfish buffet, but I do expect decent food, a clean facility, and some pride in presentation. Aside from the fryer oil being in good shape, there wasn't much here that would make me want to return. Pros: Clean-tasting fryer oil, food served hot. Cons: Bland food, limited salad bar, heavy use of Styrofoam, mediocre service, facility needs maintenance.

Bibs and gloves were automatically offered to us, so that was great. I ordered 2 lbs of medium spicy crawfish and it came with several sausage, one corn, one potato. No mushrooms were included with the order, unlike in 2015 apparently. I liked the lemon included in the order. Had a ton of juice and I was able to squeeze it all over my crawfish. Signs in the restaurant said market price of crawfish was $10.99 but the server quoted us $12.99 so idk which one's right. The signs were all handwritten but maybe they hadn't been updated, oh well. I forgot to ask for the garlic butter sauce this time, sadly. I also found a few duds in my order, like tiny crawfish that were mushy and falling apart. I wonder who their crawfish supplier is. I don't care what anyone says... this is the BEST SEAFOOD BAG BOILS around Austin... yes I know…read morethis is Round Rock but we live in Austin & have tried EVERY place here so we started surrounding areas. The service is top tier! The staff comes by to make sure you're good constantly so you never go long waiting for refills or to get some attention for an issue. The vibe is great, TVs on & the place is always clean. I read a review complaining about the napkins & buckets that's STUPID af. Don't come to a seafood place if tha bothers you. I love that they had the whole roll of brown paper towels so we don't have to keep asking. The buckets are super helpful to clear out the soft shells of the shrimp instead of piling on a plate. The FLAVOR is ALWAYS ON POINT!!! We even tried the other location but the Round Rock location beats it! We always go for date night. It's much lower priced than @Boiling Crab & taste 100x better than their soggy shrimp! Hook & Reel is just a hard pass... it's not flavorful. LA Crawfish is not good & Krab Kings is overpriced for mid food. I make my own seafood boils & ppl would rather buy from me than go to the other locations. Surfin Crab is the only one who beats me! Most times I can't even get a pic because we dive in! Oooh & food is always fast!

I walked into Surfing Crab hoping for one of those unapologetically messy seafood boils -- the kind…read morewhere you're tying your hair back, rolling up your sleeves, and mentally preparing to smell like garlic butter for the rest of the day. Sadly... this wasn't that experience. I ordered the boil with a pound of crab, head‑on shrimp, squid, corn, and those thin little sausage slices you see at most Cajun spots. The seasoning landed squarely in the middle -- not offensive, not impressive, just sitting there like it was waiting for someone to give it direction. I asked for hot, but what I got tasted more like a medium that didn't want to commit. And the shrimp? Head‑on and not deveined. That gave them a gamy, muddy undertone that took away from the whole boil. At this price point, deveining shouldn't be a luxury add‑on. We also tried the appetizer sampler -- calamari, egg rolls, cheese sticks -- and everything tasted suspiciously similar, like it all took the same little swim in the same fryer without a break. Nothing was terrible, but nothing had personality. These were the kind of appetizers you can find anywhere, and not the kind you remember later. My partner ordered the shrimp po'boy, and while the portion was generous, the breading overwhelmed the shrimp. He ended up peeling most of it off just to get to the actual protein. When the breading becomes the main character, that's a sign the dish needs editing. Now, the mixed drinks? Those were actually good -- balanced, not overly sweet, and honestly the highlight of the meal. And I have to give credit where it's due: our waitress was attentive, friendly, and checked on us consistently without hovering. She did everything right. The food just didn't match her level of service. And look... I'm not trying to be dramatic, but I've had better crab at HEB during crawfish season for a fraction of the price. When your grocery‑store boil is hitting harder than the restaurant version, that's saying something. Overall, Surfing Crab wasn't a disaster, but it wasn't memorable either. For the price and the concept, I expected more depth, more spice, and more care in the prep. This one's a pass for me -- especially when I know I can get fresher, better‑seasoned seafood elsewhere without the premium price tag.
