What…read moreimpressed me most was that there was only one employee handling everything--taking orders, preparing food, and serving customers--and they did an amazing job. The customer service was friendly and efficient, and the quality never suffered despite being a one-person operation. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for great dumplings and outstanding service. 5stars!!

The ones served at Momo House are different than what I had in India, but they were very tasty, and definitely a departure from the traditional dumplings we've come to know through Chinese cuisine. The menu is built to let you pick your protein, followed by the sauce / cooking style. For example, I ordered a dish of chili veggie momos, as well as pan-fried veggie momos. My colleague who was with me had lamb chow mein momos. We were all very happy with our momos. They were less spicy than what I previously experienced but still tasty. I also had a chai, and my colleague had a mango lassi. The chai was fine but could definitely have been spicier / stronger. The second lassi ordered was accidentally served plain, without mango. We didn't make a fuss. The lady at the counter was very friendly and did a good job otherwise. One word of warning about this restaurant: although it has seating, it's not really built to be a cozy restaurant. It's more of a takeout place. Half of the restaurant is a convenience store. The other half is a very utilitarian setup. Behind one of the counters, a man was repairing the wall. It seemed a bit industrial. All that said, the space was clean and the bathrooms were also acceptable. That's definitely a win and should never be taken for granted. If this space can be developed a little more and the chai improved, I think Momo House could deserve a 5 star rating. There's not a lot of competition out there, so it's a very achievable goal!

We have had our fair share of disappointments by the time we braved this adventure yesterday. Thankfully, this spot has restored our faith in good Indian-Chinese once again. The dumplings were incredible - the skin was thin and well-steamed with a generous amount of flavorful stuffing. The hot n sour soup was spicy. And the chili paneer was absolutely delicious - in a thick gravy that had been seasoned well. The pricing was quite reasonable and the quantities were filling. There is plenty of parking in this convenience store lot making it an easy trip out. The gentleman at the window was nice.

Service was friendly. We ordered three items: - chicken biryani - stir fried rice dish with lots of spices, not too hot. The chicken was pretty good but I wish there was a bit more. - chicken korma - tasty curry that comes with a side of rice. Also wish there was a bit more. - garlic naan - unfortunately it was quite soggy, tasty though! They're still fairly new so are probably working things out. The portions are a bit smaller than other places, but they do charge less too, so that may be why. Overall the flavors are good and I'd recommend giving them a try if you're nearby. Haven't tried the dumplings yet and those are looking good!

Meet a few friends and we tried various dishes. The restaurant was clean and quaint inside with several tables and booths. There was one person working the dining area and they got busy by the time we left. As a table shareable items were the creamy Brussels sprout and the Kothey momo (dumplings), main dish I got the Tandoori Salmon and it was delicious. When they were walking out with the sizzling skillet I was thinking who ordered this?! And it was me. lol the Brussels sprouts had a great flavor and I enjoyed this as well as the momos. Overall I enjoyed the food and would recommend if you're in the area. The menu is quite extensive so be prepared to make some tuff choices. The restrooms were a bit odd as they seemed to be not fully built out, almost an after thought? Perhaps.

I started with the Nepali Chiya (chai) it was sweeter, nicely spiced and made in house! I highly recommend it for any chai lovers. For starters we ordered the creamy Brussel sprouts which had a nice tangy taste and were surprisingly great! I've never had creamy Brussels but it's now one of my favorites. We also went with the momo (Nepali Dumplings. We went with the Kothey momos which you can choose from veg or chicken ($9) and they come with 5 served with a dipping sauce. These were another hit! The sauce was served room temp and not spicy at all. Very well balanced. For my main I went with the lamb biriyani! And great selection! The rice could have been a bit more seasoned but overall 9/10. My friend got the salmon and it looked amazing! This place is really cute and spacious! Plenty of seating, quick and friendly service and lots of parking since it's in a shopping center!

The gentleman who helped me said I could call him Kanny he gave me his given name, but I was not sure how to spell it. He even brought my food to my car. He was very nice. Helpful in terms of giving me ideas of dishes that have been very successful. I ended up ordering a sampler. I was able to choose an appetizer. I also chose a curry then there was naan bread or roti. He told me the spice level would be somewhere between mild and medium at the baseline so I left it at that until I try their food . I really didn't want anything more than this samosas for lunch so I saved the bulk of the order for my dinner . My dinner was very flavorful. The Chicken Curry was tasty, the rice perfectly done. Light and not sticky at all! It was spicy. There was lots of bell pepper which provided some texture. I enjoyed it . The Naan didn't taste homemade- I'll have to ask if it was. Not as flavorful but it was good. Overall I enjoyed my meal and want to try more menu items. I'll definitely return!

We came as a group of 5 during a soccer match and had no trouble getting seated- they did have the game playing on a large tv at the back but didn't bother us. The staff was very friendly, happy to answer questions, and also was careful to let us know when we were ordering crazier dishes but didn't push back when we said yeah we want to try it XD I forgot to write this review right away and I can't remember exactly what combo of fillings we got with our momos, but they were all great. The chilly sauce one was good though on the sweet side- some of the group weren't a big fan but I loved it I think the spice balances out the sweet. If we didn't have multiple flavors to try I may have gotten tired of it but I really enjoyed having all the different versions. I think the Jhol was my favorite- the spicy sauce was delicous and I dipped some of the other items in it once we finished the momos! We also tried the sandheko ones which were fun and unique- the herbs/veggies they were tossed with were great. We also tried the special khaja set- this was super fun and something I had never tried before. We all agreed that most restaurants in Austin advertising Nepali food usually serve typical Indian dishes plus momos, so it was fun and exciting to have other Nepali dishes I had never tried on the menu! The set was great, the flattened rice wasn't my favorite but it sure was interesting! I'd highly recommend it if you want to try something new! The only dish I personally didn't enjoy (this is the one the server warned us about) was a mutton dish. I can't pinpoint what menu item it is but it was just pieces of mutton with some spices to dip them in. My husband enjoyed this and ate a good portion but I found it to be so incredibly gamey I could barely finish the first piece lol. Absolutely no points off as it was definitely a personal preference thing and awesome that they have adventurous options! We also got a curry of some sort that was delicious, and some great mixed drinks. We all agreed that we absolutely must come back and try more of the massive menu!!

I don't remember what I got but these are both chicken! It was great though. It's calm and moody inside. The servers are kind and check up on you in a timely manner.
