This place is a rock-solid 5/5. Easily my favorite in town, and I think it'd be hard to argue otherwise. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Boti Sekuwa, Samosa Chat, Chicken C Momo, Aalu tikki, Chicken Curry, Saag, and Naan. Every single thing was perfect. It doesn't seem like you can go wrong, but I'd recommend the lamb and chicken momo. Anyhow, go find this place in the back of a kinda weird mall -- it'll blow your mind. read more

This is by far our favorite Indian restaurant in Austin. Everything is superb, flavorful, tender, creamy, fresh, and delicious. The owners are friendly and welcoming. My go to is chicken korma which is on the menu as lamb korma but they happily accommodate. The chicken and lamb tikkas are wonderful as well. Garlic naan and the chutneys are fantastic. I've sat down to eat a few times but I usually order to takeout. The flavors are always well balanced and on point. They run a little on the hotter side. I like spicy food but the hot made my ears burn. lol we love this place and it's always in the rotation! They give so much food there is always enough leftovers for a lunch the next day. read more

The Chicken Tikka Masala was good. Chicken was not over cooked. I asked for medium hot but was mild. The Matar Paneer was wonderful also I asked for medium hot and was mild. The naan was undercooked and doughy. The service SUCKED! The waiter never came back to the table so I could tell him to fill my water and cook the naan more. I only saw one waiter and what looked like husband and wife owners. The owners were oblivious to the poor service in the restaurant. The table next to me the husband was perturbed because he couldn't get my waiter to come to his table either. Finally he screamed out to get his attention and the waiter reluctantly came to the table. I don't think the waiter is cut out for this type work. He was checked out as were the owners. They both went over to one of the tables and sat and visited for long periods of time not realizing the poor service happening right around them. read more

UH-MAZING food! Very kind and professional staff. SO CLEAN! I have been here several times and brought a new friend each time, to try new dishes (every time) and I am NEVER disappointed! The flavors are clean and bright and elevated just like the atmosphere and service. There has only been one woman that has served me each time and she is the sweetest! Even though I could butcher the names of the dishes all on my own, I always point and ask how it's pronounced and we practice it until I get it phonetically correct-you tell me who else has the kindness and patience for that?! Sushila does! I LOVE the Samosas Chat; it's an app but could absolutely be a single meal for someone & it's just SOOOOO good, especially if you put a bit of their table mint sauce over top. They're very accommodating as far as adding different proteins to the same dish and I have lots of food allergies / restrictions but this place is simply the best as far as letting me know which dishes are the best choices - that Sushila again! & take a look at my receipt: BEST SERVER EVER - Sushila! New to the curry game and I must say this was a great start. Went on a lunch date with my wife and between the two of us we ordered Lamb Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. Medium spice level was enough to give us a hint of spicy and still be able to taste all the flavors. Seasoned perfectly the two dishes were excellent. And the garlic naan was an amazing addition. INCREDIBLE! I used to live in an Indian community in Pomona CA and close to Artesia and this place blows my mind everytime. I come in by MYSELF after driving 40 minutes from cedar creek where I live and order like 5 things. I order vegetable samosas, lamb biriyani, chicken korma, lamb vindaloo, and this cottage cheese dish I keep forgetting to pronounce. Oh and a beer. Lol Flavors on point and prepared very well. We originally were going to Texas Roadhouse, but quickly left when we found out it was a 2 hour wait (no, thanks!) So we decided to eat Indian food and had noticed Curry Kitchen when we pulled into the parking lot. Right away we could smell the delicious aroma and the decor was super cute and colorful. I got the chicken tikka masala and my husband ordered chicken biryani, plus we ordered 2 garlic naan (one was to go with leftovers). (They will ask you how spicy you want it.) We ordered takeout tonight, and the reviews do not lie! Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. We got the chicken tikka, Malai kofta, samosas, plain naan, and peshwari naan. The curries were rich and flavorful, and they really make some of the best rice I've ever had--it was very fluffy! The samosas were delicious and came with more than enough chutney on the side, and the naan was decent; it's not the best peshwari naan we've had in town but we still ate it all. I've been here twice. Both times, the food was amazing. This place has to be the best kept secret around. They have the usual stuff like Chicken Biryani and Tikka Masala, but you should be adventurous and try some of the Nepalese options. We tried Curry Kitchen recently and were very happy with our meal. We got vegetable biryani, paneer butter masala, malai methi mattar paneer, naan, and mango lassis. Despite having grown up eating Indian food, my palate just can't handle too much spice. And bc of my kid, I always try to ask for food to be prepared "as mild as possible." I did not specify anything here, because we just wanted to see how the food was the way they prepared it. And I was so pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the dishes were without being even a little spicy! Honestly, I could probably handle a little more heat. I ordered 3 meals extra rice and nan bread. Im sorry but this "Indian" food was really bad. I have had curries in Manchester, England, London, England, Rocklin CA San Francisco, CA and Colorado Springs to name but a few and I have never tasted food that had no flavor runny shrimp curry sauce and no taste at all. I feel sad about writing such a bad review but it had to be said I threw $65 of food in the trash it's not the money but the fact that the Lamb Vindaloo the sauce tasted like brown gravy with just hot sauce in it just awful. I doubt this was a bad day for the cook but you need to taste your food before sending it out. I don't want any offers of free food or coupons etc I just wanted to let you know that I do know what curry is "supposed" to taste like this was not curry.
