But it was such an amazing surprise to the fact that food was finger licking good. My fav was Goat sukha- which if you ask me is a bar dish, but it tastes amazing when you pair it with a nicely made garlic naan. And thats what I did. For my 3year old we ordered uttapam with no chilies, which for me is a left over meal, without the chilies it was not that great but my son loved it. My wife ordered paneer karahi (its nothing new she always orders this and pretends to read the menu :) ) We were only the table they waited at 6 pm, so their full attention was on us. Amazing food and even better service! We've ordered from Curry NaanStop Indian Grill before, so it was no surprise when my hubby requested it again for Father's Day. I headed over for pickup and the place was packed. There was a line of people waiting for the buffet and honestly... not surprising at all once you taste the food. While I was waiting for our order, the owner came over and offered me what I think was tea or coffee with cream. Such a thoughtful and welcoming touch. It was absolutely delicious and made the whole experience feel extra special. We ordered the garlic naan (because... obviously), Chicken Mughalai, Butter Paneer Masala, and Chicken Tikka Masala. Each entrée came with white rice and every dish had its own unique flavor and spice profile. Rich, creamy, comforting, and full of flavor without feeling repetitive. The food was amazing but the service really stood out. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I should've had Curry NaanStop a long time ago but I thought the name was too gimmicky- Big mistake . The food is fast and tastes extremely fresh and flavorful. I love a good Biriyani and that's exactly what I got. The rice was moist and my lamb wasn't overcooked or dried out. My grilled and fried veggies in the rice was fresh as well and hadn't just been sitting in one big pot. I could taste everything individually in the rice and you get an eggg. But what was very noticeable was the price. I've had mediocre food in the area for 4-7.00 more a plate in the area. I also like the variety. Everyplace doesn't offer goat. I really like this place. What's notable about this place is that the service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The staff are all very lovely. The ambiance is strange, I believe it's in a former Chipotle and there is a strange mural on the wall that looks like someone made it with AI. The ambiance is really unimportant as it's the food that keeps me coming back. The best part is the lunch buffet. There's a lot of variety, it's very flavorful, the price point is great, and it's made fresh. I tried Curry Naanstop for a midweek lunch today. I was hoping to see a lunch buffet, but they only have that on the weekends. So I settled in for an off-the-menu lunch. The waiter/cashier brought me over the menu along with a small plastic bottle of water at room temperature. I would prefer any kind of cold water, but.....when in Rome... It was a late lunch so it wasn't crowded. The 10 or 12 people I saw eating there all seemed to be eat biryani. Indeed, there are several different types of biryani listed on their menu. I went with some typical Indian fare: vegetable samosas, butter chicken, and butter naan bread. The samosas were absolutely delicious, and came with the obligatory tamarind sauce and mint/cilantro sauce. I must say the mint sauce was particularly outstanding, and had a distinctive fresh taste to it. The butter naan and the butter chicken with rice were also excellent. The following paragraph is a little side rant. I had ordered "medium spicy", but using this spice verbiage seems to be arbitrary. What I received was not as spicy as what I would have liked, but whose fault is that? I'd prefer to use a 1 to 10 scale like the medical community seems to have adopted for your feeling of pain. I have to wonder how each restaurant responds, and do they sometimes hold back a little when they know they're cooking for someone who obviously isn't Indian, and might be easily overpowered with heat? Anyway, until someone comes up with a Scoville Scale listing on the menus, I think we all have to get the feel of each restaurant's spice tendencies. Besides, I said it was excellent, and it was. Next time I will just say "spicy" and take my chances. The environment is simple but clean, with a cool mural on one wall. Service was fine, pricing was average. My experience here at this restaurant as a soul brother. Was so horrendous that I would not sit foot in another Indian restaurant for me. That's it. First off the waitress stood in front of me and my baby doll and told us that we did not order butter chicken. After we took 20 minutes to decide what we wanted. The portions of food was so minuscule why bother serving if you don't want us to have any. This place is pretty new! Located in the strip mall nearby Jewel and Chase bank. Opened about 2 months ago. It is authentic Indian cuisine. We love the naans! We had 2 curry dishes with naans and rice. They have great mango lassi. All are great! Need to try the buffet one of these days! They told us there will be dosa and other South Indian food in the near future. Service was great. Employees are friendly and food came out fast. My wife and I are always on the hunt for good, authentic Indian cuisine. Our go to has been Tava Fresh Taste of India in Morton Grove. And remains our benchmark for food, and ambience. There's simply no better. That said, "Indian cuisine" is no monolith. Every region (I think there are 6 major ones) has its own unique aspects. Tava represents the best aspects of both North and West regions. Curry Naanstop is more focused on North, and their POV differs even within that region! Many dishes have the same name in both places, but none of them taste the same! And we find that both are equally valid representations of the home-style Indian fare we've experienced all over the world. Curry Naanstop is relatively new, about 2-3 months in business. They have their act together, though. We were greeted immediately and cordially upon arrival and shown to a table in a well appointed and clean dining room. The colorful upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling are a great addition to the decor, and hold the noise so common with high ceilings down. On to the food! This is a scratch kitchen. All items are made in house. There's no question that you're getting an authentic representation of what a really, really good family run Indian restaurant should be. We decided to try foundational dishes we use to compare and contrast. Started with Pakoras. Think Indian version of the batter fried veg. platters you used to get at any burger palace, but elevated with carefully chosen spice combinations. These were as good as any we've had, but the star was the mint chutney. The best chutney either of us has ever tasted, bar none!. Butter Chicken is another staple of Northern Indian, and my wife was well pleased with her selection. And Chana Dal is probably the second most iconic Indian dish served in America. (Tandoori or Tikka Masala Chicken tied for first). And Curry Naanstop makes it right! And the best part: They're eminently affordable. More than ample parking. First time here and from the moment I walked in, I was blasted by a wonderful aroma. Curry NaanStop is a Buffet so if you enjoy that style of eating then great, but if not, they do have catering but no carryout nor other specific menu options to order from. The restaurant opened at 11:30am but didn't put the food out at the buffet until 15-Till. Then the fun began and past a few bones here and there, the food was so fresh and excellent. The restaurant is also very clean with tall ceilings so the ambiance is nice and it makes a difference with how loud the noise gets around you which I appreciate. The service was super friendly and efficient too! The table staff was on their game and very attentive. They bring you a bottle of water to start and consistently surveys the area for *done dishes* and empty bottles. They even bring you more bottles of water without asking. I'm not experienced with Indian food but my companion was so some of this is his reaction. I was very impressed by the buffet. Essentially I just took a bit of everything as a sampler plate. All of it was very good. Mostly chicken dishes, some fish, some vegan and even a goat dish. The butter chicken was delicious as was the Tika Masala entree. Frankly there was nothing that I didn't like but I did go back for seconds on a few particularly great ones. I would have enjoyed a western dessert option, perhaps sherbet or ice cream, they did have a gooey "fruit pudding" and a sweet carrot offering that were interesting. I ordered carry out. The curry I got was good. Not the best and I didn't care for something that wasn't usually in the curry I ordered, but it was tasty. The butter naan I ordered didn't have butter on it. I thought it was really pricey. I ordered a vegetarian curry and $15 is a lot for the small amount they give you. Even with today's inflation and food costs. Plus, why are vegetarian curries the same price as ones with meat? I might go back if I'm really craving Indian food. I was excited to try their food for a dinner event I was hosting because I read the positive reviews but their management and customer service was Not Good thus my 2 star review. They Way Overcharged me for the pans of Naan and entrees when I said that I need to feed about 8 adult portions. Because I had never been there or ordered from them I clearly explained over the phone what I needed and the person the phone assured me the quantities would be appropriate but it ended up being way too much food and WAY too much money - $230 for 8 ppl was too expensive!! Moreover when we went to pick up the food at 6 pm as designated, it wasn't even ready and the cashier was totally making up prices on the spot at the register which was more than they quoted me over the phone. We had a fun experience, went on a Friday night! We ordered the masala fish fry and paneer tikka fries as the appetizers and both were amazing! For the main course we had the Chicken Saag and veg biriyani and both were very flavorful and delicious. We ordered the Tandoori chicken to go and it was very consistent but pretty average. Curry NaanStop is where the Chipotle was in this mall. We decided to try it out and we're excited to see an Indian spot open up so close to home. I initially thought it might be a fast casual place but it's a normal restaurant. We went on a Saturday about 11:40 for lunch. We wanted to try the buffet. They asked us if we wanted to wait. We said yes and sat down. Buffet wasn't ready until 12:30. And they open at 11! Once we got to try the food. It was very very good. Some of it they said was medium spice and it was hot! I love it but it may turn off people that can't handle the heat. For me and the kid it was 50 bucks. So, a little pricey. Sunday we wanted to try some takeout. We got butter chicken, Pachi Murchi chicken, a bryani, and some naan. Wife had to wait about 40 minutes for it to be ready but they were a little busy. All of it was good. The butter chicken is just as good as my other favorite place to get it. Amazing! The Pachi Murchi chicken is spicy. I loved it and will get this again. I'll ask for extra spicy next time. I just had the lunch buffet just now! (Sunday 3-31-2025); Came in around 1:15 pm--man, this place was packed! I barely got a table-- Half of India was in this place along with 2 Chinese or Korean families! I can totally understand why, though: the buffet has around 25-30 North Indian selections, including 4 or 5 different samosas and pakoras, 5 or 6 different chutney sauces, 5 or 6 different biryanis (including my favorite--goat biryani); there were at least 4 different chicken dishes, and just about every awesome vegetable dish you could ever want including tadka dal, dal makhani, paneer saag, gobi Manchurian etc.! The service was quick and efficient too: When you arrive, there's no host nor hostess--you just sit wherever you can grab a table, then jump into the buffet line! The busboy who worked the whole restaurant alone, did a great job clearing all the tables quickly and efficiently! The manager - Luke - did a great job ringing up everyone's check quickly, cheerfully and efficiently! He even informed me that if you pay cash, you get a 10 % discount for your meal! (Such a bar-goon!) I more than happily paid cash for my delicious, satisfying meal and had to fight the urge to take a nap in my truck in their parking lot afterwards! The interior is roomy, high ceilinged, with exposed ventilation piping; one wall is brown paneled, the opposite wall has an interesting anime-like mural of a happy, wide eyed Indian family; I really liked the tiny, colorful umbrellas hanging from the ceiling along with the twisted quasi futuristic ceiling light fixtures towards the back, near the wall of 4 flat screen tv's playing Indian music videos and cartoons! In brief, I'd definitely come back! This place is generous with their customers by offering lunch buffets Friday through Sunday! Plus the food is fresh and the buffet price is more reasonable than other Northern Indian buffets in the area!
