I have been to this establishment twice. The food seems good quality, but not my favorite version of the dishes. For example, the butter chicken was quite sweet. It would have been delicious if it wasn't so sweet. One really strange thing was on my second time going the guy told me he could only take cash. He claimed his credit card machine was down. Came for a large group dinner with 13 people for a birthday. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. Was easy to call ahead and get the reservation planned for a large group. We got lots of food for the price and had plenty of leftover food for later. You definitely get a good bang for your buck here. All the dishes are very flavorful and they know how to make something spicy if you ask for it and even have Thai chili peppers they can bring on the side. The staff is very attentive and checked in for the order and anything else we may need several times. We tried the veg samosas, samosa chat, Goni 65, egg pakoda, paneer tikka dry for apps. All very filling and delicious. They give sauces on the side to add more flavor and spice as well. For the entrees we tried the papal paneer, bangun bartha, butter chicken, paneer bhuji, malai Kofta, and veg buryani with some garlic naan as well. Everything we had was filling and flavorful. We had enough leftovers for lunch as well. The bangun bartha and butter chicken were my favs. You also got a lot of naan which was nice b/c sometimes they don't give enough in a basket. All in all everyone was very satisfied with dinner and will be coming back again. Highly recommend for a stop in for lunch or dinner. They open at 5pm each day for dinner and 11:30-2:30 for lunch. I enjoyed my dinner at Zaika. Small casual ma and pop restaurant in Bolingbrook. Clean and decorated cute with little flowers on the table. We had a somosa, Chix tikka, and Butter Chix. Enjoyed them all. Chix tikka came out in a fancy little bowl. Butter Chix comes with rice but other entrees do not. This is served to be shared. Worth a try if ur new to Indian food. read more

I'd recently learned that yet again the business had changed hands. This time around I'm told the owners are Punjabi. I surfed reviews across the web before going and ordered items for carryout based on popularity. Not knowing how they spice and reading a low starred review complaining of their spice levels, I requested that the meal be a medium spice/ heat level. The lamb biriyani was prepared well and the rice was seasoned too, with ample spice (heat) level. No tri-color bs, all rice seasoned. Ample amount of lamb pieces. The rice served with a side of raita. Their raita is a loosened, sour cream mixed with cut pieces of cucumber. A cooling side to go alongside biriyani. The only component missing was a spoonful of Indian pickle though many of us should have a decent jar at home. Many reviews mentioned the lamb kadai. The lamb was cooked to perfection which means low and slow. Tender meat chunks with cut veggies and ample gravy. Good taste, flavor and spice level. Adding a spoonful to the rice or paired with buttered naan is a way to go. They offer paratha but their variety is a northern Indian style. Last an order of chicken vindaloo. Had I rated them based on this dish solely, AAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH! Too spicy. So spicy I had an upset stomach all day. I spent the next full day recouping eating just produce as a reboot for my stomach and overall health. Good flavors until I lost all feeling in my mouth and couldn't stand to eat another bite due to sweat pouring off my dome. My stomach was a wreck and I was useless at work. I put in a call to their management, clearly they need to get a handle of how they spice their entrees. With the latter mentioned, I shared a samosa chaat. That too was improperly spiced. As if, somebody added a teaspoon of chili powder and did not appropriately mix it into the dish. Samosa chaat is an appetizer made from what looks like two smashed samosas topped with both green and tamarind chutneys and a dollop of sour cream. For the samosa lover, an alternate love. At this price point it's another Indian restaurant worth experience. Very affordable. BUT, if you can't handle extra hot food (capsaicin level) I'd request everything prepared mild if possible. Some entrees like vindaloo are always hot and yet a matter that both the kitchen and phone / order staff should know and be able to discuss with patrons. read more

Ordered food for the first time. Meaning to try it for ages. We ordered the fish amristari, which was prepared very well (best I have had around here). Also, ordered the tandoori chicken, this was tender and moist unlike most places where it's often dry. The lamb rogan josh had a well balanced spice level and wasn't swimming in oil the lamb was tender and I did not need a knife to cut through it (fork tender). Complete silence while eating - a definite show of amazing food in front of us. We always do take-out and tonight's food was extra fabulous. Smooth malai kofta with a kick and slivers of ginger atop. My fav. Also our go-to are fish amratsari, chicken 65, dal makani, onion kulcha, garlic naan, and dum buriyani with the most tender bone-in chicken. This is an amazing little hole in the wall! I am always looking for delicious Indian food without breaking the bank - and this place in the suburbs is a really good spot . The chili chicken and chicken tikka masala had both good spice levels but also tasted amazing . I never have had paneer tikka dry but dang ! Indian cheese is amazing !! My only side note is the dishes could have used a pinch more of salt to make the food even more amazing. We got 2 apps and one main dish for 2 people and had plenty of leftovers as well. I ordered this restaurant for takeout tonight for dinner - it was pretty tasty! I only tried the malai kofta - each entree comes with a free side of rice, malai kofta was very tasty and you get a decent portion size - I asked for very spicy and it was pretty hot so they can make it that way if that's how you like it! There used to be another Indian place here not sure if the same owners or not but glad to see we got another Indian restaurant here! read more

I don't get the other reviews, it was not watery at all. Actually I have had watered down ones, not this one. So many naan (bread) options and they are so yummy! Had the most delicious family dinner tonight thanks to Zaika Indian Cuisine. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, Chili Chicken (spicy!!! and delicious!), Garlic Naan, Plain Naan, and the Basmati Rice came with it. We also had three orders of the Veg Samosas (my absolute favorite!!). It was my parents' first time having Indian food and they loved everything. It was all super delicious! We have only ordered takeout from this location, but it has always been amazing! The staff is very nice and the portions are very generous. We love that this place is not afraid to use the spice! Some of the other places we have tried had good food, but held back on the spices. We ordered the garlic pita, which was wonderful and had bits of garlic baked into it! The mixed pakoda was light and fluffy with a little kick in the spices. The palek paneer was *chef's kiss* delicious, with just the right amount of cheese and the spinach was creamy and luscious. The chicken tikka malsala was rich. The lamb dum biryani was super delicious and we didn't find any bones it in, which was great. Will be ordering again to try more of their menu! read more

They have done a good job of keeping it clean. Went last night to try it out. We were a party of 8 ppl, which is always good, so you can try a little bit of everything. We ordered fish tikka, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, paneer Kadhai, Butter naan, Roti, Rice and Tadka dal.. I know, lot of stuff. Everything came out great, flavorful, fish could have been more spicy since we ordered extra spicy. Tandoori chicken was on point, naan was excellent, fluffy and buttery and soft. My favorite was the yellow tadka dal, we got that extra spicy too. Glad to see them keep up the quality while also managing to keep the prices reasonable. We ordered two entrees for take out , after the delivery guy left we realized the restaurant only gave us ONE rice, NO spoons, No napkins, No forks included. We are not able to eat at this point, the idea to order delivery food it's for convenient not for troubles. So we try to call the restaurant , guess what ? The owner comes with really bad attitude and doesn't even want to fix the problem at all, he was trying to blame everything on me because We did not write to him what we need. It's literally sounds like we didn't tell him to give us spoons but we already paid service fee and tips. How can you explain that? Open a restaurant it's your responsibility to prepare all the things besides the food. Delivery is not only to send the food, also included what costumer needed. For example :SPOONS, FORKS and NAPKINS ! If you don't know how to be a nice person that's totally fine. I hope you guys can improve your costume service and come with a good human being. read more
