Had a really nice experience for my first time and Curryosity! The food is ridiculous. The vindaloo curry will be my go to from now on with chicken. The spice level is perfect, you feel that heat in the first bite but it doesn't absolutely overwhelm you to a point of sweating. The curry fries are delicious & the cheese samosas (not pictured) were a hit. The service was good, not spectacular. There were only a couple of tables seated and we rarely saw our server which was a bit frustrating - but when we did she was very nice. In the heart of South Park we walked by curryosity. Read the menu that was posted outside and decided to go have lunch. It was pretty empty with a couple of customers but as we were seated a few more came in a little after us. The decor is beautiful and unique! Love all the culture and art displayed. For food we got chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, dynamite chicken and garlic naan. For drinks I tried the masala chai. So good and soothing. Everything was delicious and well presented. Very big inside. Outside seating is minimal. Funny and trendy decor and slogans on the wall and menu. The garlic Nan's are pretty big but they come with just one per an order. Four people could do 2 or 3 orders since they are so large. The tikka masala and the lamb masala both tasty! Crowd liked the lamb more. The Tandoori lamb chops and Tandoori chickens were both better than the curries, even though in ordinarily a big curry person. Try em out . Service good too (: Oh! This is my new favorite happy hour spot! $5 drinks and $5 shareable plates. The mojito was so good that I ordered a second one. My friend got the Tantric Yoga drink and said it was great too. We ordered the fried chicken, curry fries, and naan bruschetta, $5 each. Plenty of food for the two of us to share. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and they have a cute patio outside too. Our server was nice, helpful, and stopped by to ask if we wanted anything else before happy hour ended. Listen, this place is "trendy white people" Indian food, with cuisine like fried chicken and curry mac & cheese, which is FINE if you want that sort of stuff. The Indian food itself is not bad, but not the best in San Diego by any means. Very cute spot in the heart of South Park. I for one love the creativity of their fusion menu. We got the curryosity fried chicken, vindaloo lamb, green coconut curry, cheese naan, and mango lassi. Yummy! I love their mint chutney that goes with the chicken. Great Indian spot in South Park! They have indoor and outdoor seating with an open air feel connecting the inside bar area to the outdoor patio. There is a very cool room in the back where they have low tables and pillows on the floor, which feels super authentic. The decor throughout the restaurant did as well. Lovely little Indian restaurant tucked away in the charming South Park neighborhood. It's one of my favorite spots to hang out on a nice Saturday, and the patio here offers a great spot for people-watching. The food is flavorful and served in generous portions, perfect for sharing. We tried the mussels as an appetizer, and while it was good, it didn't wow me (needs some naan or rice to soak up all that curry). The Green Rogan Josh (lamb dish) was absolutely delicious and the highlight of our meal, with tender lamb and bold flavors. I've also had the vindaloo lamb here before, and it was tasty with a good level of heat. Overall, solid place for Indian food, but pricey, so while I think it's good, I've had Indian food I liked just as much (if not more) in SD for a little less. Really good spot for happy hour specials betwen 3-5pm M-F. I came here with a girlfriend around 4:30pm on a weekday and got a bunch of food to share. It was fairly empty so we got seated in their outdoor patio. They have a lot of $5 plates and we shared both types of samosas, curry wings ($8) -- we tried the tamarind and honey spiced flavors, waffle fries, and naan bruschetta. Everything was super flavorful and filling. The total of our meal was about $40 and we had a lot of leftovers which was probably enough for another meal myself. I would love to come back and try their other main dishes and happy hour drinks. I don't get Indian food enough and this place seems pretty solid for it. Parking is fairly easy in the residential area of South Park and especially before the prime dinner hour. No dedicated parking lot. read more

The chicken on the curry fries however it was a little bit on the dryer side and could use some more flavor however would that being said the butter chicken sauce that they put on the fries was excellent!! The samosas crust was nicely fried however the stuffing could be improved as I've had better. We also got butter chicken with rice, which was pretty delicious. My friends and I really had a nice time here. We brought a fairly large party and so we got to take up the back lounge. The seats were very comfortable cushions on the floor with lowered tables which gave it a friendly vibe. Staff was all very friendly and was happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. They also came in often to see if we needed anything. They also had a "free item if you dance" deal on the menu so our friend did a dance and they came to record it. The food was all delicious! What a fun place! A modern, trendy version of an Indian restaurant, though with many of the traditional trappings you'd expect. Sierra was behind the bar when I walked in, greeting me and letting me know I could sit anywhere. I chose the bar! They also have a great, airy patio with a half dozen tables. The inside is split into a couple rooms with a large opening between the two: one room has the bar and the other with the entrance, holds an assortment of table sizes good for any party. I felt like having lamb, and I told Sierra I also liked coconut. She immediately guided me to the Green Rogan Josh, a green curry with plenty of tender chunks of lamb, accompanied by a bowl of saffron rice. I also ordered the garlic naan. Today was a lazy day, after a busy morning I settled onto my couch and a dedicated an hour to Call to Duty. My best game was 52 kills, 11 deaths. I decided to hang up the headphones after a successful day of battle. Little did I know there was one more death I was going to suffer this November day. At about 6:30pm, I realized that I was unwilling to walk 0.1 miles to the nearest food establishment and decided to order in. I'm normally loyal to my favorite places, however even favorites get old after a while. So after pondering the amazing choices I decided to give this place a try. The menu was normal for an Indian place, but one warning flag was the pictures of the food. They looked exceptionally generous. Hhhmmmm... I pondered. I calculated the odds in my quantum brain and found that it was 65.5% likely I was going to be disappointed. But! Let's give it a go! I ordered the bbq chicken (red in color) $18, hummus with some beans on top $14, cheese Na'an $8, and two regular Na'ans $8. So about $48, and they asked for a tip upfront for delivery 18%, 20%, 22% and 25%. Hhhmmmm... I hate places without "15%" as an option... a sign of the generation of expectations without effort. The meal arrived... chicken, four pieces that looked like they fell out the back of a refugee truck driving rescued starving chickens from a concentration camp. One piece was all bone... One 3" drumstick, and the other two, maybe two bites each... i figure the drumstick cost $6 bucks... taste good tho, for the moment I chewed it. The hummus was good, but honestly, wasn't fresh or great... $14... a container out of the grocery isle at $4 was much tastier and gave me an appreciation for those brilliant souls that made that option possible. The Na'an... cant give a negative comment on that... it's made to eat fresh... So thats my tale... Shoulda ate leftovers or walked 0.1 miles... Wait! that's 0.2 miles roundtrip, cost me... about $30-35... To be honest, I'll fall for this again at some point. My laziness at times has no bounds. Mostly indoor seating but they did have a small outdoor patio area. We got the bhel puri, chicken vindaloo and naan and roti. The main dishes typically come with rice but you need to order bread separately. The behl puri was a unique taste for us. It's a lot of puffed grains, onions, potatoes, etc in a sweet tamarind sauce. Fun to have all the different textures. It does eat pretty sweet though. The vindaloo was pleasantly spicy. I love spicy so I probably could have had some more heat but it was enjoyable. The flavor was right on point too. The naan and roti were good as well. I believe they're freshly made and they paired with all the dishes really well. read more
