I was pretty disappointed in this place! The portions are very small, and the chicken was pretty dry. The curry wasn't cheap either. I'm the kind of person that always leaves a restaurant with leftovers - and I left this place scraping the bowl. Not because it was that good, but because I was hungry! I have driven by this place a gazillion times! We never went in and I feel bad about that because the food is really good! My partner in crime is not a big curry person, so I went and got takeout one day since I needed something to eat. The young woman at the front was very friendly and excited that it was my first time. I had to have the chicken tikka poutine which was a delicious take on poutine! Also the curry mac n cheese, which was another tasty take on another favorite. I wanted to try something new, so I ordered the Saag with chicken. This was my favorite! The sauce is amazing! I could eat it on everything if I could! I also had the tandoori chicken, which was okay, a little dry. Oh and a flavorful garlic naan. Overall, this was a great introduction to Curryosity, and I was curious but it didn't kill this cat! My friend ordered the Mussels and they were super rich with a good spice kick but was so delicious! I definitely will be coming back and trying more Indian Food! The Naan was perfect. This was a pretty chill experience. Two of us arrived a little later than the main group (5 of us all together) because we went to go see the Beyonce film first. When we arrived (8:30ish) it was pretty laid back. Not too busy and not too loud. I was starving so I needed to order food but they also serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The group ordered Paneer Marsala, Marsala with chicken and Nirvana with chicken. The drinks we ordered were the Bombay Sangria, the Nojito, the Mojito and the Nirvana Sangria. The general consensus was that the drinks and the food were good. I was getting the vibe that everyone liked the food more than they liked the drinks. The one thing worth mentioning specifically was the garlic naan ..... . I've only had naan when it is almost burnt or too crispy. This naan was soft and enjoyable. I would probably try a different dish next time (I had the Saag) but I would for sure get garlic naan. I had the Bombay Sangria and you should sure mix it up well before drinking it. I was drinking it and it really tasted like mango. Then I realized once I got to the wine that I should have mixed it up and it probably would have tasted better. Now I do have to be honest. The group of us that got there first was seated by someone that made some comments about how not everyone had arrived yet and they said it was coming off kind of shady. Apparently this happened two times; once when they were first seated and once when they ordered some appetizers. That did affect the vibe so I did want to mention it. Second time coming here and I expected her to be amazing like last time but definitely not the case! I had made a reservation for 6 people ahead of time for a Saturday evening and when we got there, it turned out they had lost our reservation and we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Service was extremely slow! First appetizer came within 5 minutes but the next two took good 15 minutes on top of that to come out. They came out pretty much just around the time the entrees came. Chicken Tikka Poutine: Really good. Waffle fries were nice and thick but still crispy on the outside. Curry sauce on top with lovely and portion size is quite good. Chicken Tikka: The pieces look quite large but extremely dry. Quite overcooked. The chicken itself is also too salty. Curry sauce and chutney(too less of this) on the side saved it. Nirvana Chicken Curry: I was surprised! Curry itself was amazing - really good flavor. But the chicken itself was overcooked. Butter Chicken: Good curry again, but chicken was definitely overcooked. Saag Paneer: Soft paneer and good amount of paneer as well. But the curry was not as good. Quite chunky and the flavor was a little off. Cocktails looked wrong! Got the Bombay Sangria like last time, but it did not look like sangria from a previous time at all. Orange in color (instead of the maroon like a regular sangria and like what did was last time). Their saag curry and Thai coconut curry are my two favorite dishes, and I always start with the veggie samosas because of the lovely chutneys they are served with. It is less of a traditional Indian menu with some fusion type meals. But it's always tasty. Only negative is the service is usually unexplainably slow, like the servers are there but are afraid to approach you to take your order or check on you. Even when it's very quiet and seems empty. To start, get the "Fried" Chicken in chickpea batter and the Indian Latkes. The chicken is coated in chickpea flour and has killer flavor. The latkes are potato cutlets drenched in spicy sweet tamarind sauce. The vindaloo was ok. I ordered a spice level 8 and it wasn't much. The butter chicken was excellent as was the yellow rice. Disappointed! I don't mind when a dish isn't traditionally Indian or blends different regional styles -- but I do care about execution, and that's where this meal fell short. The mussels were powdery, and the coconut curry sauce tasted like something pre-made rather than freshly prepared. Presentation also needs serious improvement. At $29 for four lamb chops, I expected better quality and consistency -- two were cooked well, but the other two were raw and poorly cleaned, showing no attention to detail. Overall, not worth the price, and certainly not the standard you'd expect for the cost or description. She was helpful to my friends who hadn't tried some of the menu items and guided them to some selections based on their tastes. I know they appreciated it and I did, too. Vegetable Korma -- 7/10. Rich in flavor but I wish it was a little bit spicier! The rice and naan were delicious pairings, however. Curry waffle fries -- 8/10. This was a fun dish and I'd get it again. I only wish that it came with more coconut curry sauce. The only downside here was the drink. I got an alcoholic chai latte and was underwhelmed. It tasted VERY watered down and was lackluster. We had a large party of friends coming in and one of us found this restaurant and decided to suggest it as an option for a group dinner. We all ended up agreeing and they were able to make a reservation for 20-ish people! They did have to split us up into two areas, one inside in the floor-seated room, and the others in the patio area. - PARKING - Street parking only - there's a lot of adjacent side roads where you can park, but it does get pretty impacted during peak hours. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Again, the staff was very accommodating of our large group, which is greatly appreciated! Besides the patio and the back floor seated room, they have a few tables scattered around the interior and a bar area. The floor seating area was very cozy, but if you're a tall person I don't think you'd be super comfortable here. We were sat 3 at a table, with one table having 5, but we're all fairly small / short so it worked out. After we ordered, food came out fairly quick! - FOOD - Curryosity Fried Chicken ($10.00): Fried chicken pieces like nuggets/tender pieces - the chickpea batter was pretty yummy, but some of the chicken was dry. Curry Fries ($8.00): SO good, we were contemplating ordering another one! Loved how the waffle fries were still crispy, but the Curry sauce was super delicious on top too! Samosa Slim (2pcs - $7.00): Nice crisp dough on the outside, and fluffy potato/pea/cumin/coriander filling on the inside. Nirvana - Veggie ($16.00): All of the curries are served with rice, and since our table had multiple curries, they ended up just serving the rice in a large bowl for us to scoop out of. Nirvana was very tasty, more savory tasting. Butter Chicken ($17.00): Many of our friends got this, and it was a crowd favorite. The buttery cream sauce was just the right amount of decadent, and had a nice flavor balance. Garlic Naan ($4.00): Large naan pieces!! Definitely worth splitting with a friend, unless you're a naan fiend then you might want your own because Curryosity's is delicious! Tandoori Roti ($5.00): I was a bit disappointed because I thought Roti was a more flaky, pull-apart type of bread. This reminded me more of just a flatbread, and even had a subtle, whole wheat taste. I would stick to the Naan next time! - OVERALL - A fun experience and delicious dishes to be found here. I do think the prices are a bit higher than what I'm usually used to paying for Indian food, and some things didn't seem to hit the price point in my eyes. Wow! I'm in a restricted diet, and gluten is one of my allergies. I did take out because who doesn't want to eat dinner on the sofa with a cozy blanket on a cool evening. The first thing that struck me is that they have gluten-free items on their menu! You don't know how much time I look at menus while out running errands only to decide going home is the only option. We ordered the Sag, potato pancake, and the chicken appetizer. I have to say the potato pancake blew me away. I also loved the Sag, but I didn't realize how spicy it was. Years ago, I found Curryosity and loved the whole concept, location, and food. Now living closer, my roommate and I have been going to their happy hour from 3-5pm and their prices are very reasonable. Especially for the drink options and we love the sangria. However, it is pretty empty and it doesn't seem like they change the menu up much. I wish they would incorporate more specials so regulars can have more things to try. The happy hours are starting to get boring. Also, it would be better to have the happy hour extend at least an extra hour because I barely make it when I get off work. read more

So, bummed. TLDR; really poor service and extremely overpriced $140ish for 2 adults & 2 small kids. I seemed to have visited for the second time here too late. The service was really bad and when I had to get up to find a waiter I got chastised for looking for someone instead of being apologized too or in the least informed that someone will be there in a second. The food came late, and one of us at the table was missing an order. Not only that the beer was warm. How hard is it to get the basics right? I know running a restaurant is hard and costly, but if you can't get an order in on time or keep the beverages refrigerated what else is going on? Last, but not least, they of course have the card reader at the table so I am forced to choose a tip amount in front of the waitress, and of course it is set at 22% so if I only want to tip 20% (or less) I have to go through this awkward exchange in front of the waitress. I hope they turn things around and stay in business, but I don't think that is going to happen if they keep running the place like this. read more

One of my best friends was in town, so she took me out for my early birthday dinner a few months ago. The decor and patio is so cute here! Since we had reservations, we were seated promptly. I started with a mango lassi, which was creamy and very refreshing. There were a lot of items I wanted to try, but we ended up getting the garlic naan, tandoori shrimp, tandoori roti, and the vindaloo chicken curry. I loved that everything came out so quickly and looked so fancy too! It didn't look like a lot of food, but it was very filling. The roti was not as puffy or flaky as I'm used to- it tasted very similar to their naan. The garlic naan was very tasty as well as their tandoori shrimp and curry. The curry had a very nice kick to it and was very flavorful. Service was so nice! Our server brought me out a gulab jamun for my complimentary birthday dessert. Their naan had good flavor did not quite have the correct texture. They also brought out the food in a weird order. They brought the onions and chili out as an appetizer (this is usually supposed to be to be eaten with the curry) and they brought the naan out 7 minutes after the curry, so we had to wait and the curry was getting cold. Really enjoyed dinner at this spot. Set up in South Park, it felt cozy inside and out. The moment my partner and I stepped in, we had to comment on how good it smelled! We happened to be there on a Thursday night, which our server noted featured their Date Night special, so we were able to try out an appetizer along with our drinks.
