Curtis Farms is beautiful yes. But Matt and his family are unprofessional. Firstly, and most importantly, Matt is terrible at communication which makes it extremely frustrating and stressful to plan a wedding. He is impossible to get a hold of to answer questions (after you put your deposit down). He is a big talker when you first meet him but he is just a used car salesman who treats you like he has no time for you the minute he gets your deposit. Secondly, the night of the wedding, his two boys were running around my wedding eating my dessert table. And this was early in the night too, (not leftovers). Matt was also drunk by the end of the night. It was basically a big party for them. Another thing, which is least important, he did not set up the tent and furniture until the morning of my wedding. So I could not see where he was putting things to change them. He also said he was going to put stuff out and then didn't. You can pay extra to use his furniture collection but he doesn't pay attention to what you want from it. It's honestly junk too. Lastly, there is only a porta-potty. There are no actual bathrooms for your guests. If you look at the Venue in the winter he will hide that fact so just be careful because renting bathrooms is expensive. read more

Curtis Farm was the perfect place to have all the pieces of my wedding become one. The great thing about this venue is you can either bring all your own vendors or use Matt and his team for everything (If they don't have what you need they will recommend a vendor they have worked with!) They also allow food trucks! And they have fun furniture you can rent! We had originally planned our wedding at a Massachusetts venue, but due to Covid it was safest to move to NH, so we brought all our original vendors with us! Matt is best reached by phone and text, and will always call back if in the middle of something. He has been in the business quite some time so he will always give you his honest opinion (In a good way)! His wife was super helpful as well, and went out to get myself and my wedding party waters while we were waiting for the guest to arrive and the big day to officially start! The view of this venue is perfect!! Especially in the fall! There are so many places for photo opportunities as well! My (now)husband wanted trees on the poles in the tent and honestly it's worth paying the extra penny, because it really made the reception tent look so much more than just a tent. Curtis farm provided the bar services and as long as you get open bar, they will not run out, if they do they will go get more! One thing I recommend more people do, is use the venue for rehearsal dinner, it was nice to sit in the tent and enjoy the view before the big day when everything goes by so fast. Curtis Farm is the best hidden secret in the northeast for weddings! We had our wedding at here in August, 2013. After seeing the beautiful farm and views, we were expecting it to be great, and it was even better than we expected. Curtis Farm was the first place we looked at of about 20 different venues around New England. We looked at a variety of places from the Berkshires to Connecticut to Verrmont, and this place had the homey charm and personal feel that we kept coming back to in our heads. The farm itself and the scenery are breathtaking. The views are amazing. The sunsets are magical. The family that owns the farm does great upkeep on the grounds, because they are gorgeous: green grass, beautiful trees and flowers, and a lot more. Our wedding was 200+ people, and we knew it would be pretty upscale. However, we wanted it down to earth and rustic at the same time. Matt and his team at Curtis Farm came through in a big way. The farm is classy, yet rustic and it feels like home. Just what we wanted! Our guests kept coming up to us for months and months after the wedding and unnecessarily going out of their way to tell us that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. Matt listened to us so well throughout the whole process, and it wasn't easy since we were living remotely in Washington, DC at the time. When you explain your plan to him, he will tell you very honestly what he thinks will work well and what won't, both based on his experience with weddings as a whole and his knowledge of the farm. The service he gave us was personal and constant, and he made us feel so at home during the planning and the wedding itself. Furthermore, we were pretty high-demand clients, and he never flinched for a second. We couldn't be happier that we went with them. Curtis Farm is so great because they only have one wedding a weekend, so they aren't a wedding factory at all. They do that so they're not trying to squeeze one wedding out while squeezing the next one in. You have the whole weekend and a couple days leading up to the wedding to prepare, and it made us feel so comfortable that everything would get done. We are tough, tough critics. SO. BEAUTIFUL. I'd never been to a farm wedding and had no idea what to expect. Just gorgeous views of the mountains and the sunset. Tent was decorated in an authentically rustic way and all the antique-looking furniture used to hold decorations in and out of the tent, including book shelves, desks, and couches, had that rustic feel and were adorable. Food was delicious - loved the kale sausage white bean soup! Great appetizers, friendly staff, and family-style dinner. They even give you a tour of the farm and you get to hang out with ducks and donkeys so it was pretty cool to watch children go crazy. Absolutely wonderful venue! read more

Just returned from a magical wedding celebration at Curtis Farm. This is an amazing venue: beautiful view west to the mountains- super sunset. A stunning outdoor ceremony with reception under the tent. Surprise surprise: completely bug free. The family who owns and operates the venue was attentive and involved. They were on site to run through the rehearsal the day before and were at the ceremony to make sure it all came together beautifully. Bonus- there's a donkey family in residence! I was a guest at a wedding here this weekend. Being in the know on the dollar amount that was paid for the services, I had very high expectations. For the most part, they were met. The location is gorgeous! If you're looking for country chic... this is it. The weather was beautiful, but a little chilly being mid- October and all. There was an enormous tent erected on the premises for the reception and it had propane heaters attached. In my opinion, it still didn't keep it warm. The staff was gracious & friendly. They provide the wedding photography as well. Can't speak to how well the photos turned out as of yet, but they certainly appeared to know what they were doing. There are lots of vintage/antique chairs, sofas & farm equipment to add to the ambience. Biggest disappointment... Port-a-potties! Yes, a beautiful & expensive venue with no real "facilities". Two chemical toilets off a dirt trail with no lighting at night. A foot pump hand washing station is next to them. Cold, COLD water. Outdoors. In October. Brrrr! Unsure if the caterers were part of the deal, but the food was all lukewarm and rather dull. The chilled atmosphere in the tent could've been to blame for that. Overall, Curtis Farm is wonderful. Everything appeared to go off without any problems, but the lack of well lighted & less "rustic" bathroom facilities was a sticking point for me. read more

We knew we would be having an pretty upscale wedding with well over 200 guests and worried at first that maybe Curtis Farm would be "too" rustic for our group, but we had guests (both young AND old) unnecessarily going out of their way to tell us that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. They sat outside to the summer evening, some people played games on beautiful grounds, and others enjoyed their cocktails under the glow of the sunset... it was perfect. Matt, the owner, listens impeccably well. When you tell him what you envision, he asks questions, makes suggestions based on his expertise and stops at nothing to make sure that your day is precisely what you want. He and his family made us feel so at home and provided personal and customized service that we would never have gotten elsewhere. Curtis Farm is the exact opposite of a wedding factory. They operate with the belief that every wedding is different and when you have an idea about something you want, they will make it happen. From a sushi bar, to an nontraditional ceremony, they made it happen. Other venues of this caliber cost 10 times more than Curtis Farm. We looked at many of them, and strongly considered them. In fact, it wasn't the price of Curtis Farm that made us select it, it was the FEEL. To be honest, we would have paid much more to have our wedding there, but it just so happens Matt offers a great deal. Went to a wedding there last weekend and everyone was very impressed. The setting is beautiful, the staff is wonderful (look out for Helen), the food was very good, and the experience is top rate. We've been to a lot of weddings, and this may be our favorite venue. Matt, the owner, is a nice guy, very helpful and relaxed. I have been lucky enough to have been to multiple receptions at Curtis Farm (I think 3? Maybe 4), and each one has been just gorgeous and amazing. It has a view to die for at any time of year, and a great set-up that seems to support a wide variety of wedding themes. The staff always seem relaxed, professional and on top of things. I've heard great things about the management and all the behind-the-scenes stuff that happens that takes a lot of stress off the shoulders of the bride and groom and their families. If I ever decide to get married (again), I know Curtis Farm would be on the top of my list of venues. read more

I can't explain how amazing my wedding was all thanks to Matt and his Wife, Nicole. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but I am not kidding when I say that Matt takes that stress away. He is going to make sure that everything goes perfectly. The venue is absolutely stunning. It is so beautiful. Pictures look fantastic, but they do not do it justice. You really need to experience a sun set at Curtis Farm to really appreciate the view. Matt has a preferred vendors list with vendors that he knows are good and that wont screw you. If a vendor fails to meet the highest expectations they are removed and not welcomed back, so you know that everything will go smoothly. I seriously cannot say enough great things about Matt and Nicole. They were absolutely perfect, along with the rest of their staff. If you want an outdoor wedding, go here.
