The Italian Sandwich
Stephanie C.

4.7 stars - They make a really good, satisfying sandwich. I've ordered the Curtis, American, Park and the Italian. All are delicious. The Curtis is a take on a cold Rueben and the corned beef is tender and thin-sliced to perfection. I prefer a hot Sammie so I heat mine up at home, but it still tastes great cold. The American will now become my go-to turkey sub; it's perfect. The Park is tasty and a great breakfast option. The Italian really hits the spot and is balanced perfectly. Something I see in other delis is you get so many different meats and toppings that the flavors become a big mosh. This sandwich is balanced so well with the house made aioli and the arugula tossed in red wine vin. It could maybe use a liiiiiitle more meat for the price, but I'm not complaining - it filled me up perfectly. The bread is also so good! Crispy on the outside and perfect chew on the inside - holds up extremely well. The ciabatta is baked daily by City Bakery and they source a lot of local ingredients which I'm a big fan of. These sandwiches have a homemade, super fresh quality to them and I will happily come here every time I'm craving a deli sandwich.

I know this is a bold statement but this is the best deli that I have ever been to. I get the mystery/chef's choice everytime and it is always delicious. Sometimes they are very creative and other times they might give you something close to what is on the menu but add a little something extra like additional veggies or pesto, etc. Highly recommend.

Did someone say homemade pickles? Yes please! I ordered the caprese sandwich, pickle (which is free) and a bag of chips. The bread was yummy, toasty, and fresh. The service was fast and everyone was kind. It's exactly what you want when you need lunch on the fly.

This deli never disappoints! My go to is the Italian or American but you can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches. They're so flavorful and taste fresh! Park in the convenient parking garage behind their front entrance, there's 2 hour free parking and it's right next to the deli. There's plenty of seating inside but I would love if they added a couple small tables outside to eat at!

High quality, fresh, and above all tasty. Service was friendly and quick! Honestly the best sandwich i've had in Boulder and i already want it again. The bread is so fresh and the perfect balance between toasted and soft. I ordered the Caprese and it blew me away. A must try!!

The best sandwiches EVER. The bread is phenomenal and the ingredients are all fresh and delicious. I live in NYC and I still haven't found a sandwich to compare. I'm so glad they opened a location in Boulder. If you haven't tried Curtis Park, wyd??

Ordered the Caprese twice now and it's delicious. Different vibe than your run of the mill sandwich shop. Give it a try.

And they do a damn good job of it! The cool thing is that it's a sandwich shop AND a Häagen Dazs ice cream store rolled up into one. Has to be one of the only places in the country of its kind! Savory or sweet, you'll find something you love here. The menu boasts sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast, kids meals, and of course the full Häagen Dazs menu. Italian Stallion // ham, pepperoni, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, balsamic vinaigrette, yellow mustard & mayo on marbled rye. The Italian American favorite. All the salty and tangy notes were hit. I don't love the bread choice personally, but to each their own! I just think it would've been even more flavorful on the Ciabatta roll. Now I'm a little biased because I grew up in the Häagen Dazs world. My family owned two shops until I was 18! They have some unique flavors on hand that I haven't seen in store or other brick and mortars. I loved the selection they have on site here. Plus, the employees will happily sample whatever flavor you want to try! Huge store with lots of space to sit. Easy ordering process for either the deli or the ice cream. And seriously, some of the most friendly employees I've seen in a hot minute. For something quick and on the go, Lindsay's Boulder Deli gets my stamp of approval. And if you're lucky enough to run into Lindsay herself, you're sure in for a treat!

We ordered to eat there, but they still packaged our sandwiches to go. The staff didn't call out the order loud enough for us to realize they'd been prepared, so I think they sat at the counter for a while. My son was happy with his chicken pesto though he commented that it could've used a more generous application of the pesto. I kinda suffered from order regret. I chose the Turkey & Brie. The moment I unwrapped it, I was overwhelmed by the onion smell. Even after removing some of the onion, its presence lingered. My bad, I ordered it after all. The turkey and Brie comes with apple slices, and two kinds of mustard - a honey mustard and stone ground mustard. The honey mustard is what caught my eye. While I realize stone ground mustard is tangier, this sandwich was overcome by the strength of the onion and stone ground mustard. You don't even notice the apple and Brie. Just an overall miss for me. Last, if you happen to be dining in, you can use a bathroom (with a code) but it's a block away in a parking garage. I'm not down in Boulder super often, but I'm likely to skip a return visit. If I were to return, I'd try the chickpea and avocado sandwich instead and hope for better luck.

Prior to entering, we heard it may be run by a cult, however, we did not look into it as it was quite literally the only place on all of Pearl street open for breakfast other than Snooze which we were banned from as my sister as meeting friends there. We were a bit skeptical the whole dining process but the food and drinks were honestly delicious. We got the iced mint mocha which was so delicious, green tea, yogurt parfait, breakfast sandwich, and spinwich. All of the ingredients were fresh, well prepared, and tasty. Once we left, we read about the background history and some of the values of the twelve tribes associated with the Yellow Deii. Had we known the tribe and beliefs it is linked to, we likely would not have eaten here.

Looking for a save at that corner we decided to give Cheba Hut a try. We had never been to one even though there was one in the Hill years ago. It never looked or smelled inviting. But I had read positive reviews of this new one on Yelp so given that it was not packed with students, we gave it a try though disappointed not to have one of our longtime favorites. Even so, we had a decent meal. I could have something as light and small as I needed yet get something fresh and with a toasted warm roll. I appreciate the various sizes too. Small for me as an experiment in taste and quality. Medium for my husband who wanted warm and filling.i am so glad it's so easy to customize leaving off flavors I do not want, like garlic and green peppers, both of which are difficult for me to digest. I got the Magic Mushrooms, like a sweet little salad on a warm roll. The dressing was fresh to taste, all veggies came through and even the mushrooms were fresh not sautéed as I had expected. Will be even better in the summer though maybe not on a winter day that this wasn't, on a very mild week. My husband had the meatball bomb, warm and saucy with melted cheese and marinara. It was more than twice as big as mine. Good to know if you are hungry. I was able to make my custom tea blend at the self serve soda counter and please to do so. Cute cups too. There were plenty of takeout orders being made so it took a few minutes to get ours. But the bar was half full, the lift doors to the large patio closed so it was still quite comfortable inside. Amazingly more clean than the old one on the Hill from what I could see back then. There was music and screen to entertain but not overpower. I did not see any desserts I would eat but we headed back down the mall afterwards towards a favorite place. I have to say, for a place we did not intend to go, we really had a decent dinner and I would go back again in a warm day and try the patio when the sun is shining. It's a long time classic sub shop, more modern and clean than expected.
