This sandwich brought me back to life after our hike at Chautauqua Park! I was gassed and Snarf's came to the rescue. I went with the Italian which is made with salami, pepperoni, capicola, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickles. It was the perfect sandwich and so filling! The bread it's served on is delicious too. I didn't get any photos because I ate it so fast -- I'm sorry! A friend picked them up and brought them to the park so I didn't get to see the interior of the space, but next time I'm in the Denver area I will absolutely be back. Stopped by to grab some sandwiches for a hike later in the day, and I was surprised by how filling they were. They offer three sizes (4, 8, and 12 inches), and we opted for the 12-inch. They were bigger than we expected and it actually covered both lunch and dinner for us! We ordered the Large Italian and Turkey sandwiches with all the fixings on garlic bread. While the wait was a bit long (about 25 minutes during the lunch rush), the bread was incredibly soft and fresh, and the meat portions were super generous. This past week I drove down from Ned to pick sandwiches up for my family since my mom had just gotten out of surgery and craved it , I've been a long time customer. I ordered a veggie sandwich for my mom with everything on it, every single time I've gone in the past they make it correct with all the toppings but this time I made the mistake of visiting the pearl street location. Some joker behind the counter must have thought it would be funny to put just sprouts between slices of bread. I called in requesting a refund on the $13 sandwich (literally just sprouts and bread), instead of a refund the gentleman on the phone said they would provide me a free sandwich instead. Today I drive down and request the free sandwich and the manager claims the situation never happened and refused to help me. I personally find this type of customer service despicable, regarding their grossly overpriced sandwiches. I went to Snarf's after getting a recommendation from a friend - and this place did NOT disappoint! The best part about this place is the BREAD. The bread is awesome. There are signs that say that they bake their own bread and it definitely makes a difference. The best way to describe this sandwich is "no frills" in a good way. It taste fresh and clean, a bit on the healthier side. It's different than Ike's sandwiches that are grubby and heavy sandwiches. Also the staff here were all super nice - they don't try to rush you and make you feel welcome at the store. This shop is in a plaza with a grocery store so there is a good amount of parking! I hate it, but Snarf's has become just ok for me. The food is still good, but you just get so little of it for the price that it's getting hard to justify. Service and ambience are fine and parking is easy at this location. The sandwiches are still tasty, but the value is just long gone. I know profit margins are thin in the restauruant business and prices have gone up, but damn.... it was almost $40 for 2 sandwiches and a drink here and the sandwiches were just not big enough for that to be ok. I lived in Philly so I'm a bit of a snob, but their cheesesteak was fine--well chopped steak, plenty of cheese, grilled onions were nicely done. This was my spot for sandwiches when I was in college eek almost 20 years ago. That Italian sandwich, while not authentic at all, was, and still is, just so good. Good for post sammy hikes, good for hungover mornings, you name it. And it still lands! That salty, cured meat with the works is so good. It's heated too, and I don't even love heated sandwiches. I have been coming to Snarfs for many years, since I have been in Boulder. and I have never had a bad experience. The Sandwiches are awesome and they are always consistant. When you walk in, the take your order and within minutes they call your name. I love the decor, its a fun place to have lunch or dinner. and the best part is that they are all over, whether in Denver, Longmont, Summit County, you will find Snarfs Sandwishes. Unfortunately I live in Houston so it might be a while. Staff is very friendly and maybe stoned but also upbeat. Everything was excellent and place is clean which is important. I had the Italian and my son had the pastrami. I am so glad we split them between us as the pastrami was da bomb but not sure I could eat a whole one in one sitting as it is rich. So excited that this new location is finally open! As I'm on their e-mailing list I received an invite to come in for the day of their soft opening. This space previously housed Jersey Mike's and is conveniently located near to Hazel's Liquors. The parking lot is also larger than at the prior Pearl street location. All tips for the soft opening benefitted a local food pantry organization :) Staff was friendly, efficient and cheerful. My sandwich (the Italian) was amazing!
