I was originally a member at Planet Fitness but it just didn't have all the things I wanted so I started trying out a few other gyms. As soon as I tried out 24, I knew it was the gym for me. My favorite part is that they have both a dry and a wet sauna. I have yet to try the wet sauna but I use the dry sauna after every workout. Very relaxing. The best time to come here that I've noticed so far is after 9pm. That's when it seems to begin to slow down. Around 5-8pm I've observed is probably the busiest time because I guess people are coming to workout right after work. A good variety and machines and equipment that fit my fitness needs. All the staff has been very friendly so far as well. They have some products for sale when you first walk in such as T-shirts, protein bars, preworkout powder, etc. I really like the convenience of that. Check in is easy. You type in your phone number and then scan your fingerprint and you're good to go! They also have a pool and hot tub that I'm interested in but haven't used quite yet. The locker room is spacious and the lockers are nice & big. Everything is clean. Excited to continue my fitness journey and get these gains in 2019

Additionally upper management does not care about their guests at all and has a bad attitude. In the past this was a great place with great upper management that was understanding and willing you work with you because they wanted what's best for you. I bought a membership for a family member and paid it in full as a gift for graduating last year. Little did I know they would keep my card on file and auto charge it without my personal knowledge for another year. I would have never agreed to keep my card on file for a simple one time gift. Upper management is not willing to work with me at all even though 2 different employees said it would be a simple fix and its wild to see their lack of empathy for the simple fact that I've been apart of this gym from 2010-2013 (break for college) and 2017-yesterday. I've paid for upgrades and private trainings as well as group classes. I've stayed loyal to this location but clearly keeping customers is not a priority. Can't believe they will be acquiring the Grand Prairie location that's shutting down with how awful and insensitive he is because proximity of location will keep people. Take your money elsewhere, you're only a $$$ to him at this location. An upper level managers should know how to de-escalate and not add fuel to the fire. *Update Chris the upper management doesn't know his company's policies at all and said that calling them wouldn't give me any different outcomes. His lack of empathy while working in a public facing job is baffling. Lucky for me I tried and gave corporate a call who profusely apologized for his bad attitude/demeanor was able to resolve the refund because it was within 7 days of the charge and will probably be the only reason I'd consider a different 24 Hr fitness location in the future going forward.

My…read moremembership plan clearly states that if you attend at least 12 times in a month, your fee is cut in half. I went to the gym daily, yet I was repeatedly billed the full amount. When I noticed the error, I immediately called customer service. They claimed they would "investigate," but two months and countless follow-up calls later, I'm still being told there's "no error on their end." Meanwhile, I kept getting billed in full. That excuse is unacceptable. If there truly were no error, I should have been told right away, not dragged along for months while they continued taking my money. To make matters worse, Colaw insists on continuing to charge my card unless I complete an "end of contract" form--something not even accessible on their website. They admitted I'd have to request it by email. This is a deliberate barrier designed to make it harder for members to leave, and it's shady business practice at best. The worst part? A customer service representative actually told me I could "just go somewhere else." How awful is that? That's how they treat loyal, paying members who have been driving 20 minutes each day to support their gym. Absolutely unacceptable. What's most disappointing is that this gym brands itself as being built on Christian values and morals. Yet their management refuses to take any accountability, refuses to meet loyal members halfway, and acts as if they're always right. Companies make mistakes--it happens. But denying them, while hiding behind a façade of "Christian values," is hypocritical and disgraceful. Colaw Fitness should be ashamed of how it treats long-standing customers.

There are always going to be peak time at any gym which is usually early morning before going to work and in the afternoon when people are getting off of work. So I usually try to go early morning when the gym first opens or in the afternoon around 3pm when people haven't just gotten off of work just yet lol. I got really into fitness about 5 years ago, so I usually keep to the lifting area or the mats I think the equipment is great compared to the other gyms I been to. LA Fitness has ample amount of weights with multiple of the same weights so you don't have to wait for someone to finish their sets, and any machine that seems broken is usually fixed right away which I think is GREAT! The things that DEF need a lot of work are the bathrooms and showers! I feel as though the environmental workers skip this place and just wipe down the counters. Those showers are DISGUSTING! I tried showering before going work to save time, but that experience was just horrendous. Also If the manger is reading this PLEASE! get digital scales. We no longer want to use those old school doctor office manual scales. I would like to just step on and off and go about about my business. It just a little tedious having to move those weights to finally balance and then add it up. It's not that I can't do but I believe a digital scale will def be more convenient.

They will have you contact the "billing" department which is just their 1800 number and the wait times are ridiculous. It is all very frustrating to deal with. I give this review 2 stars because they have recently renovated some parts of the gym. I still like a lot of the machine options and the open space however the studio room is still locked most the time and customer service has been a complete pain for the past two months. I requested a refund of the annual fee due to the fact that it's an annual fee and I would not be a member beyond the cancellation date of 30 days (the end of July). I can understand if I had cancelled a few months after the annual fee, but considering the cancel request was on the same day, I asked for an exception. I spoke to the rep at the gym and she told me to call the "800" number. When I called the "800" number and asked to speak to a manager, I was told to send an email. I sent an email and requested a call from the manager. Instead, I received an email response from a lead customer service specialist. The email wecare@fitnessconnection.com seems like an oxymoron considering speaking to anyone beyond the "800" number is non existent and the bad customer service experience. I have no doubt an exception can be made, but Fitness Connection only cares about the money and not it's members. I will warn anyone and everyone possible to stay away from Fitness Connection.

I HATE working out at places where some roided out idiot says "Hey, you are doing that wrong..." or where the staff is trying to be slick and soliciting to get you to pay them to be your personal trainer. Not here! They are very clear about that when you sign up. I have always felt comfortable here. Additionally, I have noticed that the women that go here seem to feel very comfortable too - no guys are ogling them like many other fitness clubs I have worked out in. They do offer classes - if you download the app you can sign up. They have different ones virtually all day. If you don't sign up for it, but happen to be there when it happens, they are very discreet. Overall, I highly recommend the app! You can attach it to your smartwatches and it has many great features. You can view videos on how to use the machines, you can track your progress or post to the community board for Planet Fitness Arlington. I generally go between 5 and 6 AM on Mon - Friday (before work) and about noon on Sat and Sundays. There are people there, but it's not packed. I have NEVER had to wait for a machine. The staff is great. They are always upbeat and very helpful, but they don't approach you unless you request help. Unlike other places they aren't swoll up gymheads. Relatable folks that will welcome you in. If you sign up and bring a guest make sure the guest brings ID, but if they forget the 1st time they still let them in. They sell headphones, shirts, bags, tanning stuff and towels up front. Super helpful if you forget something. Also, go for the black card membership - you can use it at any PF and it gets you access to tanning as well as water and chair massage benefits. The TV ads in the gym say "Go Fast or go slow - work at your own pace." At Planet Fitness you actually can, without the judgement.

I missed all notifications for key items that I needed to complete and any sort of update the may have given about the class. But thanks to the manager Jaide, we were able to find out that I was somehow taken out of their workflow list, so I just wasn't getting any sort of communication from them at all. Apart from that, the classes were great but I would have liked to see more focus on core exercises and maybe throw in some plyometrics. I was surprised to see them throw in more advanced barbell exercises in what was essentially a beginners class but it wasn't too bad. But I wish the coaches taught proper form a little better. Between the barbell work and multiple different ways to complete one type of exercise, I would have liked more of a breakdown of what muscles should be targeted for each different way of doing the exercise. All in all, a solid A for everything.
